There was one item that the system designer later clarified, and although it wasn't a major issue, Jon personally reached out to notify me of the changes. After installation, I noticed a section of concrete that had become uneven due to settling. Our first meeting with Jon was on March 28, we signed on March 30, the system was installed on April 27, the meter collar was installed on May 13, and we received Permission to Operate about a week later. Jon also helped us identify and secure available rebates. I would also like to thank Tara in the office. When I needed copies of my contract documents, she provided them promptly and without hesitation. Another positive observation is that the owner, Oz, appears to be actively involved with the company and personally responds to customer reviews. I noticed this during my initial research and felt it reflected a company that values customer feedback and satisfaction. At the time of this review, SunMade Solar Energy held an A+ rating with the Better Business Bureau. Neither was responsive and sometimes didn't show up within the 4-hour appointment window. Thus, I ended up canceling with both companies before going with Solar Negotiators. After the system was done, Zach, one of the technicians, came by to match the paint of my house and painted the exterior conduit to match my house color. I could go on for pages about my great experience. Unfortunately, these days, it is rare to receive the stellar service and product Solar Negotiators provides. It has now been 1 year and 7 months since my project started, and I still do not have Permission to Operate (PTO). I'm attaching a receipt showing when the project was initiated, as well as a photo of the solar panels installed on my roof, as evidence that this is a genuine review and not something made up. Things went somewhat acceptably until the panels were installed, which happened in December--10 months ago. There were some hiccups on Solar Negotiators side figuring out the permitting process with the city. They went back and forth with the city on the design because they were apparently confused about what was and wasn't allowed under the city code. This cost me a couple of months of delay before the installation. Already not great, but it's acceptable. After the panels went on my roof, that's when things really went south. When trying to obtain PTO (permission to operate), Solar Negotiators discovered that PG&E required a transformer upgrade. I'm not sure how they failed to identify this earlier. Given that a transformer upgrade can take 6+ months, you would think they would have applied for it well in advance. But I figured mistakes happen, so I gave them the benefit of the doubt. Solar Negotiators needed to apply for the transformer upgrade and pay for the conditional PTO. Somehow, it took them another two months--and constant calls from me--to get the application submitted. Finally, in March, they told me that my project was in the queue for the transformer upgrade and that I just needed to wait. I was specifically told that I should stop calling because the project was "under control." I waited five months before following up. When I asked for an update, I received the response that "everything is good, we are waiting on the PG&E transformer upgrade." I decided to call PG&E myself to make sure everything was actually in order. PG&E told me that nothing was planned on their side because Solar Negotiators had never responded to an email PG&E sent them back in March. I brought this to Solar Negotiators attention, and they initially denied that there was an issue and assured me they were taking care of it. This is probably the most frustrating part of dealing with Solar Negotiators: every time I call, the person I speak with tells me they need to talk to their "interconnections team" and that someone will call me back. Of course, nobody ever does. I have repeatedly had to call them again myself just to get any information. They also refused to include me in their email correspondence with PG&E. Eventually, I got tired of this and asked PG&E to add me to the email thread from their side. That's when the situation became very clear. Solar Negotiators had indeed failed to respond to PG&E back in March. Their own explanation was that the project had "fallen through the cracks on our end." What makes this even more frustrating is that even after Solar Negotiators knew I was aware that the delay was caused by their failure to respond, they continued dragging their feet with PG&E. They would often take more than a week to respond to PG&E, and in several cases they only responded after I called Solar Negotiators and complained. So, essentially, I have had to babysit my own solar project for months, contacting both Solar Negotiators and PG&E to make sure the companies communicate with each other. Today, I finally received a call from someone at Solar Negotiators who apparently works directly with PG&E and was able to explain the current status of the project. Hopefully, this means things will finally start moving forward and I can get a conditional PTO soon, and a transformer upgrade 6 months later to get a full PTO. Unfortunately, I'm stuck with Solar Negotiators at this point, and there isn't much I can do other than share my experience. If you are considering Solar Negotiators as your contractor, my advice is simple: please don't.

Even when they do show up, several panels are often missed, and I have to bring them to their attention. In addition, they have broken several roof tiles in the past and had to replace them. The people performing the actual cleaning are usually young adults (kids, in my book) who seem to lack basic customer service skills when I communicate what needs to be done. Today, when I called to ask whether they were still coming for my scheduled cleaning, the customer service representative asked, "Did you receive an email confirming that we were actually coming? All appointments are scheduled as tentative." That's not how appointments are supposed to work. If you schedule an appointment, you show up. If you can't make it, you notify the customer. According to their system, customers are apparently expected to assume the company will not come unless they receive additional confirmation. That approach is completely backward and unacceptable. Needless to say, I will be looking for another company to maintain my solar panels.

They haven't even showed me how the system works until now. There's also pipes now on my roof and ground stakes on the side of my yard that looks awful and hazardous.

Until mid-2022, PS attempted to maintain the system's electrical production, except for identifying major warranted system component failures, then to now, by using daily data produced/provided to PS by the production system (which, we believe, is currently working). Comparing production periods (no data is available for 2014-2016 due to inverter failure; also, in 2017, 9.6 MWh was reported as produced): the 4-year production, 2022 -2025 to 2018-2021 was 49% (of the earlier period). From 12/4/2016 to 12/31/2025, roughly 108 months, no production occurred on 556 days, more than 18 months, or ~17% of the time. From July 2022 to February 2024, 20 months, including summer months, there was no recorded production. From June 26, 2025 -November 24, 2025, and from January 20, 2026 to today, May 21, 2026, no production has been recorded; however, we believe that production has been achieved in more recent months. At this time, our economic benefits, if any, from installing and maintaining our PS solar system remain unclear and highly uncertain. FYI
