My wife and I were in town briefly for an alumni event at the University and started our day at Martin's - Coffee & Bakery. If you haven't visited yet, you really must. It's a great place in downtown Martin with delicious fresh ground coffee, as well as appealing menus for both a quick breakfast or lunch. Service was friendly and efficient, and prices were competitive. The place has an upscale finish, but an extremely comfortable and casual vibe. Looks like a great place to meet friends, get a little quiet laptop work done, or just chill. We met and visited with the owner briefly and it's clear that his vision for Martin's will be successful. TL;DR: This small-down trendy coffee shop was hit and miss on my stop. I was disappointed with my coldbrew, which couldn't have been steeped right. I visited on Christmas trip from New Orleans. The place is a cool coffeehouse vibe, pretty normal for coffee houses--dark, earthy tones; some branded merch; in-vouge items, etc. They roast in house with a new Bellwether that you can see roasting. Service is average for a typical coffee stop. My wife's Cuban latte was fine. It just tasted like a latte with sugar to me, but it's what she wanted. My cold Brew was sad and not flavorful. I could, in fact, hardly taste a coffee flavor, much less any complexity. It would not get much love in New Orleans at least. Anyway, it may have just been my batch of cold Brew, but I did order light ice, and then I removed that ice to not water it down further. The Pic is of my ice coffee and looks like tea. read more

Took a day trip to Martin TN to check out this coffee shop 2.5 hours from Memphis. Love supporting local coffee shops in TN. The service at the shop was good. Our servers were nice and helpful. Ordered a sugar cookie latte with oat milk and half sugar. It was very good. Should have ordered an extra shot of espresso to balance the milk. I also ordered a delicious salted caramel brownie cookie and an espresso chocolate chip cookie. Really enjoyed the brownie cookie. The espresso cookie had too much espresso flavor for me but was still pretty good. It was kind of gritty but perhaps that is what the recipe includes. The cranberry white chocolate chip scone was soft and very tasty. All of the flavors equally balanced each other. The ambiance is very inviting. The shop Is chill and calming. The lighting is subtle and peaceful. I could work or study there for hours. I want to return one day soon. read more

Very cute coffee shop on Lindell Street with a nice selection of coffee and tea. Inside is spacious with lots of seating. There is also outdoor seating and free internet!!! While in Martin taking care of my mom this is my new favorite place to work. I have not tried their food yet but what I see people ordering looks delicious! We drove about 30 miles to check out their coffee/pant bar. Coffee was good. Not the best I've ever had but fine. The plant bar was kinda disappointing. Large specimens of usual plants, variety of smaller plants in more portable varieties. Nothing there I couldn't get at lowes or Walmart. I was hoping for a few more exotic samples. The dried flower bar was unique! Made me want to keep some of my leftover stalks of okra if I can sell them for 5$ a pop. read more

Martin's is the winner of a good atmosphere when is comes to coffee shops in the area. The lighting, music, tables and decorations are perfect for coffee with friends, meetings, or solo homework sessions. If you want to have coffee or lunch with a friend in Martin TN, this is the place you want to go. Their lunch menu is delicious. Get The Godfather or the Hamilton hot sandwich combo with those delicious Voodoo chips and a green tea. It is amazing. The coffee is the best you can find in town. They have pretty much any latte flavor you can think of. The Bees Knees latte is my recommendation. Their espresso is good quality. Technically a third wave coffee shop, you can get a full French press, a V60 or a Chemex, but the baristas aren't well trained on these processes; so we'll say they are good.. for a small town coffee shop. They are still very good! This is a must-visit place in Martin. read more

It's refreshing to find a niche coffee shop that is full of personality and charm. We moved from Las Vegas to TN and thought that avant garde flair had been left behind. So glad to find this not true. The shop is clean, has a cute little book nook, and has fast service. Our order was up in less than 3 minutes. Love this place! Delicious coffee, great vibes, fun decor, and friendly staff. What else could you want? I always get an iced caramel macchiato but my family has ordered many of the other drinks and loved them. You can't go wrong with anything on the menu. The scones are delicious and they can warm them up if you would like. My sons love the muffins. They also have a selection of lunch sandwiches and the chicken salad is my favorite. It comes on a croissant with lettuce and tomato. There is seating for everyone whether you want a couch to relax on or a table to sit at. The decor is super cute with a giant mural of the town and fun artwork. There is a small shop in the back with small items like t-shirts, cups, and notebooks. The best part is a portion of everything sold goes toward providing education and library resources in Kathmandu, Nepal. Their slogan sure does ring true - Better Coffee for the Greater Good. My family and I stumbled upon this coffee shop while looking for a place to eat lunch. When I walked in I was pleasantly surprised by the interior, very modern and a little hippie-dippy. It's large but still feels cozy. They have a cool little nook with games available to play. The menu has a nice selection and each sandwich is also available as a wrap. - Ham & Swiss Sandwich, yum! - Turkey Sandwich, yum! - Iced Tea, yum! - Iced Coffee, yum! - Cheese Tortellini Soup, double yum! The service was great and the staff was friendly. One of the baristas even taught us how to play Mancala! I liked this place so much I even bought a shirt. The food, service, atomosphere, and staff were fantastic and I give them 20/10 stars no doubt, but I'm writing this in hopes the owner(s) sees this because they need to give their staff a break. I see the same two workers everyday working til close and I know they're tired. Hire more people or get off your damn phone and help the poor girls who look exhausted everytime they think a customer isn't watching.
