Largo HS had prom there this year, 1st time here and it was a good experience. Spacious ballroom and pretty decor There were 3 proms there thay night, but it was pretty orderly. The names and directions of the 3 proms were on screens at the entrance, but the screens were kind of small, would suggest larger screens or additional signs to help with direction.

Visited here to attend an annual holiday party, held in the main ballroom. This event venue is a beautiful location providing catering services for weddings, celebrations and special occasions. Full holiday festive decorations, the place looked great. Some food items included chicken and rice, Mac and cheese, grilled salmon, sautéed veggies, skirt steak and for sweets red velvet cake. Everything was delicious. The Photo Booths, gift raffles and cocktail bars were a nice touch

An event space right near my house, so convenient! Truthfully, I only rarely hear about things going on. I went once years and years ago, so long that I forgot the occasion. But this time a friend invited me to a crab feast -- my first one ever (outside of a friend's house), in fact! The building is easy to locate, and while there is PLENTY of parking... if the event is massive enough, you still have to park far away! Thank goodness for that lot! Checking in for the event was super easy, and the staff were able to easily point out where the open and reserved tables were. The setup was pretty cool too -- two bars are built into the corners on the same side as the entrance, tables and vendors were dispersed throughout, and food was conveniently in the middle and on the opposite walls. There was a central stage too! I'm sure one's opinion of the place will vary based on each individual event, but as an event space I think it has it all. The A/V system sounds good, the staff are kind and professional, there's plenty of space, and I just can't say enough about that stunning chandelier.

I have been to this Greenbelt location about times for wedding receptions, birthday parties and a church event. I don't have a lot of pictures because I usually take videos. I know that Martins caterers have other locations, I have seen pictures and they appeared beautiful. I can only speak about the Greenbelt one. The events I went to there were beautiful. Some of the people I know that had their events there said they chose this venue because even without decorations, it looks nice. They didn't have to do much to make the place look beautiful. Me personally, I love the draping and the chandeliers in the rooms, the lightening and the set up. I did talk to some of the people that had their events there and they thought pricing was reasonable and affordable and they even for some deals to help with the cost. Most of them had buffets and honestly I don't like buffet style events because I usually go to 500+ people events and sometimes the lines for the food are so long. One wedding was plated meal and of course the options were less than the buffet style, I remember my sis and I had salmon and it tasted good. Everything was organized, the servers were great and polite. These events were non alcoholic events and you can go at the bar at anytime for drinks, the bartenders were always nice and would even suggest drinks to try. I don't think I will be having a large event anytime soon but if I was, Martin caterers would be my first choice. Based on my experience of going to events there many times, I would highly recommend them, especially for large events. Venue is beautiful and elegant, bathrooms are clean and neat; food is good, variety of options and staff are really nice and polite.

Old tasting strawberry shortcake. Tasted like it had been frozen and thawed too many times.

I have left my comments for each pic attached. This venue has gone downhill over the years. The food was bad, no taste and appeared to have been old.

This is a spectacular place. I loved the details on the wall and once you walked into the building. The hall is slightly small, so if you are planning of having a wedding please make sure to count the heads of people coming. The married couple was lovely and the decorations were beautiful. The bathrooms! They maybe far butthe bathrooms are awesome. When you walk in to your right there us a mini lounge with basically a runway with mirrors on both your side. Pros: They are organized and by the book. I loved that since I am a detail organized person. Con: The hall is small and things are rushed.

I've been a busy bee! I went to Martins for a church anniversary event. Everything was beautiful and the bathrooms were clean. I would definitely use this facility in Greenbelt for future banquet needs. The event I went to had about 1000 plus people and they were able to easily able to handle a party this size. To my knowledge everything went well. The drinks were really good and they had a slushie machine which made you feel like they were island drinks. They also made specialty drinks with various configurations and condiments. The food was really good. It was a lot of food and I didn't want to overdo it so I just tried the: Salmon (very moist and flavorful) Macaroni and cheese ( exceptionally well cooked and flavored) Sliced turkey (moist and delicious) Stuffing from the stuffed hens ( a little dry) Cheese & fruit plate (good) Salad plate (cold salad plate ...but I didn't like the balsamic vinaigrette) Garlic mashed potatoes ( not good at all) Cheese and tomato salad (good ) The things I didn't try Hens Roast beef Green beans Pasta salad Cake rolls Overall everything was very good. The staff was very pleasant and accommodating. They were a well trained and equipped group of caters.

There are several Martin's Crosswinds locations throughout Maryland. The one in Greenbelt is where my company holds its annual service luncheon. I was in town to celebrate 20 years with my company. The staff greet you as you walk in the front door. And they are around almost every corner to assist you with anything that you might possibly need. The meals served here are impeccable! On this trip I had a crab cake as well as stuffed chicken breast paired with mashed sweet potatoes and green beans. Their appetizers are also amazing. The one that stands out to me was the oyster Chesapeake. And I can't leave out the multiple choices that we had for dessert, OMG! Not only do they have great food but the ballroom is gorgeous with many beautiful chandeliers. The bathrooms are always spotless. I look forward to going back and celebrating my 25th anniversary in five years :-)

    Wedding set up.

Wedding revenue. 5 events under one roof. The staff was pleasant and professional. Food was delicious.

On two occasions (the second being yesterday) I've attended a charity luncheon for over 400 guests at Martin's. From my vantage point, the afternoon went off flawlessly. Martin's is a gorgeous place- a huge spacious lobby, beautiful dining rooms, excellent service, and high quality food. I've often wondered how a banquet facility can serve up 400 high quality hot meals simultaneously. They have it figured out -great lunches of stuffed chicken, potatoes, string beans, and a slice of prime rib. And for dessert an amazing creation of chocolate cake and cheesecake - fresh and moist and perfect. The room and tables were beautiful, the sound system and video system were flawless. I have nothing but praises to say for Martin's Crosswinds.

Close of the night. Food was excellent. The lack of sound barrier from room to room - HORRIBLE
    Akande S.

Food was great and so was our Banquet Manager, Miss Jessie. She saved the night. This location hasn't changed since the 90s so theres only one restroom and, depending upon which ballroom you're in, its located on the other side of the building. Not best for attendees in their better years. Beyond that, I wouldn't recommend this venue as theres NO sound barrier/ sound proofing between ballrooms. Any quiet moment (toasts, speeches, etc) you have is overwhelmed by the noise and music in the other ballrooms. Knowing they don't have proper barriers, they STILL allow groups to set up djs and bands on the adjoining walls. Poor layout, dated, and poor sound control...it's a no.

An older lady working at the desk seemed to move in a very slow pace and the line was very backed up. The area where the performance took place was pretty spacious and clean. Initially, the female manager was very welcoming and flexible with our group. We never had issues with scheduling the facility or with customer service. Since she was transferred, we have run into a lot of headaches. The staff since then and especially now are extremely rude. They don't greet people as they walk and when they do engage with us they are usually rude and unfriendly. We have had mulriple scheduling conflicts after signing a contract and confirming our league and have been forced to make last minute postponements in our schedule. The faciliry itself is not the best for two side by aide volleyball courts either. The courts run right up to the wall on one side and the bleachers on the other which make it difficult to have enough space to serve. The basketball hoops also do not rise all the way up on both courts and often times interfere with game play. I hope the league finds another more suitable facility with much better customer service for future play.

Located on the 5th floor, Loft 5900 offers a kitchen, uplighting, slide shows, restrooms in the hallway, sofas, and cocktail style tables. I assume depending on the type of event you're having, depends on the furniture that's provided. We were going through a bit of a heat wave when this event occurred, so it was hot and humid to the ultimate outside. When we entered into the building it was even hotter. Literally no air was circulating in the building or on the elevator. I was a bit worried that the venue was going to be that warm too, but thankfully it wasn't. Not sure if it's like that normally, but I hope that issue gets addressed because it was truly uncomfortable. The venue itself is a cute and intimate space. It does give you the feel of a loft - hardwood floors and a chic flow, but the entryway is a bit dated and only one elevator was working that evening. It's a pretty cool option for a venue/space for an event. I think it would be perfect for a baby shower, wedding shower, cocktail party or something on a smaller scale. I'll put this on my list for future venue options, hopefully it just won't be during a heat wave.

If you need special attention reach out to the assistant general manager Zeke who ensured we had our needs met and was attentive to those on his ride. One benefit of going over various years is that I've seen how the interior has evolved. Management is always moving rides around and bringing out new additions to keep up with the times. It usually looks different from one year to the next. LOL's downside is that the food is not that filling and is pricey. Like many party places, food from outside is prohibited, so birthday parties require ordering from the kitchen. Pizzas are plain and thin and go for around $20. Nachos aren't even worth it for the price. Fries have such a limited quantity. The kitchen closes one hour before the business closes. For parties, the staff are strict about making families leave once the two hours are up even if the birthday table will be vacant the rest of the day. Maybe the staff can cut birthday party customers some slack since they spent a lot of money on that event. Once the table is gone seating isn't guaranteed in the public section.

Went here for a birthday party and brought my nieces with me. I saw a review on TikTok before I went and it actually looked way bigger, more stuff, and nicer than when you're actually there. Half the games weren't working, when taking the kids to get on rides it didn't seem like the people operating the rides cared much, as I had to make sure the girls were properly in the ride and fastened in tightly. Some of the ride seats belts and straps were broken, worn out, half way tearing. That's a huge safety hazard if the kids aren't strapped in tight, and after I secured them in there, they don't even come around to ensure they're in there right. It's like am I working here too, of course I care more about my child's safety. They have a height threshold for rides but kids under the height were still able to get on. It's just kids working there, one person working two rides. I constantly used sanitizing wipes to wipe the girl's hands because I felt it's so many germs around that place. Finally, had to take my niece to the bathroom, I asked her is she could hold it because the bathroom wasn't the cleanest, and it was only two stalls which makes no sense for a place that size with that many people. Very underwhelming and interesting fun place. Would not recommend.
