When I confronted him about it he pretty much said ohh well. Now he's demanding I pay him the $150 for work he didn't do. After finding Ricardo on yelp with his three reviews and calling him at about 2 in the afternoon that Sunday, he came by an hour later and gave me a super reasonable estimate. He was there Monday afternoon at the time we had agreed upon with a helper after giving me the requested 30 minutes heads-up call so I could zip home from my office. They worked for about 5 hours straight and did every single thing we had discussed the day before, exactly as I had imagined: Hedges, trees, grass, an overgrown walkway and yes, that evil pampas grass! The result was a a pristine front yard with everything he had cut down, chopped off and swept up loaded on his truck and hauled away. He even swept the garage floor in the short period of time that the door was up between me and my wife getting home... what a treat that was this morning (Wednesday) when I finally noticed it! He also gave me a reasonable quote for bi-weekly maintenance so I'm officially off the hook for keeping my yard in shape, ready to turn in my hedge trimmer.

We hired A&C Landscaping for a backyard project involving demolition of concrete, re-grading,…read moreinstalling surface drains, and re-doing irrigation. Overall, we are 100% pleased with our experience. I met with 4 different landscaping contractors and was most impressed with A&C. Their quote was competitive, but what sold me the most was their project manager who came out, Calixto. From setting up the initial quote to his demeanor throughout our meeting, he was extremely professional. He did not upsell, pressure me, or use any fear tactics. He brought in his partner, Alfonso, during that same visit to provide some additional opinions on our concrete, and it was obvious that between the two of them they have a lot of combined experience. While I had to consistently chase other contractors to get quotes, A&C was prompt with their quote and scheduled us in a reasonable time frame. They're definitely very busy, but extremely organized. They started the job and finished the job exactly as they estimated. There were minimal changes in the budget. Calixto was consistently present on the job site, which was reassuring. He was always checking on the work and making sure everything was to his standard. He was also incredibly responsive! Any time we had an issue, he would respond immediately and be able to come out within the next day or two. We noticed a couple of minor things after a rain following completion of the job. We let Calixto know and he immediately came out to assess the situation with a solution within a day or two. This level of professionalism and ownership of the work is amazing. I'll continue to update this review as time passes. But for now, we will definitely be using A&C again for any future jobs.

Beware of A&C Landscaping's Fraudulent Billing and Neglect…read more I discovered that A&C Landscaping has been billing our HOA over $300 per month for services they have not been providing. Our landscaping has been completely neglected for who knows how long, yet they continued charging us. I canceled their service in November 2024, expecting it to end by December. However, I just realized (April 2025) that they are still billing us! When I reached out via email today they sent a photo claiming they serviced our property on April 1. But their own photo proves otherwise--the red curb not shown in their image was painted back in May 2024! I've attached actual, recent pictures showing the truth: dead plants and an unmaintained property, and a red driveway curb despite their continued fraudulent charges. This company is dishonest and unethical. If you're considering hiring them, save yourself the headache and look elsewhere!

They also installed some of the bricks upside down and the color is washed out on those bricks and they stand out like a sore thumb. Back in November, Daniel said he would come back after Thanksgiving and fix the problem. I didn't hear from him and reached out to him several times with no response. I finally connected with him in late January and he was dismissive and said everything was installed to code. He said he would come by and take a look but there would be an additional charge for the work. I questioned if it was additional work, or if it was fixing a depression that they created in the walkway. He has since ghosted me. Looks like this business has some very good reviews. Maybe they are good with traditional landscaping, but I cannot recommend them for pavers.
