The only reason I can't give 5 stars is because some spots were missed, he used some of our tools and equipment without asking or letting us know, and on the 2nd day, he was 3-4 hours late and didn't communicate with us at all until he was on the way, which caused some anxiety for us because we thought he has ghosted us too. I felt confident in the Yelp reviews and his initial quick responses to an estimate and proposed time line. He provided the lowest quote and said he could start in a few days. Two to three days after installing the sod, several parts of it started to dry up. I immediately called him to address/fix the issue. He came back and said he didn't know why parts of the lawn were drying up. I expected to pay not only for the sod and installation, but also his knowledge of landscaping, which seemed sorely lacking. I consulted my friend's gardener and another landscaper and both agreed that this was a very poor job, that he should rectify this immediately. I asked Francisco to come again and fix the issue. He offered to re-do my lawn and said I would need to pay for half. No! We went back and forth via text messages and he said the dead lawn was not his responsibility! I asked for a partial refund of $500 to fix the lawn and he never acknowledged my request. See the pictures as proof/evidence of his poor work. I am considering legal action. I DO NOT recommend him. If you are set on hiring him, I strongly recommend that you have him guarantee his work in writing. The lowest bid isn't always the best. Buyer beware.
