Sad. A man that is truly NOT of his word. Owes me money from a small claims settlement for botched interior job. Didn't completely fix mistakes. Didn't replace faulty parts. Kept telling me repeatedly that parts were on backorder. When I called vendor, they had surplus of said parts in stock, on the shelf. Somehow he's been able to open a new shop, but can't make right his wrong doings. Excuse, after excuse, after excuse. Sadly I found out that this is the case with quite a few customers. read more

Eddie seemed great until he wasn't. Doesn't come through but will promptly request progress payments. We had to come out of pocket for work he subbed out to a third party company. We paid Eddie for this work but he never paid them!! We needed it done so had to pay them directly even though we already paid Eddie. Now we are pending a court case to resolve. Please be careful with this business! Eddie is a nice guy but not the most honest business owner. I was considering having him do my boat and met with Eddie for an estimate. The total was higher than I wanted to spend on my boat so we decided not to have the interior done. Not Eddie's fault just an old boat l. Later I decided to have my airplane interior done in black leather and talked with Eddie about doing the seats. Eddie said no problem and he had done some other aircraft in the past. He quoted me $3,000 and wanted $1,000 down to cover materials and 3 weeks to complete the job. I dropped off my seats we wrote up the job and I Zelle Payment $1,000 to Eddie. After 3 weeks Eddie decided not to do the job because the material certs for aircraft scared him off. Perfectly understandable and other than taking 3 weeks to tell me I had to respect his decision. I drove down to pick up my original seats and was not happy. Eddie left them out in the rain and my original interior was trashed and my frames now need to be sandblasted and refinished. I asked for my deposit which he said he didn't have and he wrote me a bad check. I've been trying to get my deposit back for the last 2 months. He has gradually been refunding my deposit but each time it's half of the balance. Not good business. I would have skipped leaving a review all together if it wasn't for the way he has handled this. He basically took my money left in good faith and used it for other purposes all the while telling me he had boats being picked up and was going to pay me back tomorrow. Same story over and over. I will never recommend this business to anyone. I will do my best to let anyone looking for upholstery to go anywhere else! This is not an honest business and I don't want to see anyone else have the experience I did. I have since ordered a Leather kit for my plane from a reputable company and the cost is slightly less than Eddie's quote. Buyer beware and I certainly wouldn't leave anything you value with this company. It has cost me far more than i expected in time and labor just to get my old upholstery usable so I can fly my plane while I wait for my new upholstery to be completed. read more

We took our boat to Martinez Interiors to have the carpet replaced. We dropped it of Father's Day weekend 2021 and didn't get it back until July 14th. My husband had to go there daily to ask for them to finish it so we could have it to use over the summer break. When my husband brought the boat home there was a big hole in the side of it. It wasn't there before and Eddie from Martinez Interior knew the boat was damaged at his facility. When my husband asked Eddie about the damage Eddie sent my husband a picture of the damage to the side of the boat and said see I have a picture of it. Eddie didn't share the picture of the damage until after we noticed it. As many of Eddie's other customers it took forever for him to start working on our boat. The boat stayed outside in his yard for several weeks before he finally pulled it in to work on it. Eddie takes no responsibility for the damage. read more

Update *** 3/10,2020 When these guys did my interior they did the Barajas on my trailer including install of a new surge break... and this what they did , almost killed me and my family The shame is, there is not negative stars. I took my boat to them to be redone, new interior repair gel coat new gauges new windscreen etc. I dropped off the boat in February and was told it would be completed by May 1st. It was not done until The beginning of August. The upholstery came out nice but the attention to detail was terrible. Small items were missing and the fish finder and some of the other electronics where not rewired after the reassembly. We didn't discover that until we were on the lake. Eddy said he would send and man on a Thursday morning to complete several items and they never showed or called . When I called him, he made excuses and said he would personally come do the finishing work on Saturday. he is hours late and has ruined my plans for the second day this week. I missed the entire summer with my son , the whole reason for doing this was to enjoy the summer before my son turned 18 and went back to school. Well the summer is over and the boat is not complete. And to boot I missed a half of a day with my son today only to have Eddy not yet show up to complete the project as promised. Dealing with Eddy has made it so I don't even like this boat. It was supposed to be a fun toy in my life and for my family to enjoy, but has become a source of anxiety and disappointment. I would suggest you use any other marine shop but Martinez Marine . The overall experience is disappointing and they have no business staying in business with this kind of customer service. read more

Wow I wish I could give 10 starts let me start of by saying I noticed some wood rot on my hatch after looking around I decided to try out Martinez marine they are an hour and a half away from my house but boy oh boy am I glad I took a chance on them right from the get go Eddie was super Knowledgeable about my problem After Agreeing to the job he got into it and we decided it was best if we replaced the whole hatch due to damage in other areas he found so he begin working on it this whole process was done in five days keep in mind I called him 1 week before memorial day weekend and he had it done in time for me to take my boat to the river not only did he go above and beyond he matched my ultra stitching to the dot he also took it upon himself to add an extra shock for my hatch to open and close that I never had before it will now make the hatch open and close a lot easier the work these guys does is absolutely phenomenal they do not cut corners anywhere I am so happy the work they did I have included some pictures thank you so much Eddie and to your staff I also had some damage side molding they replaced that as well without leaving one scratch anywhere on my paint I would definitely recommend these guys for anything marine. read more

Eddie was great with everything. We needed a few of the seats replaced on the family seadoo boat. After calling multiple places they said it was too hard to deal with and then we stumbled upon this company. We had a little mix up on when it would be ready but Eddie was the man and got it done in time for our trip and even went above and beyond and drove it two n half hours to us. It would be impossible to say to much about this shop and Eddie. The work they did on my boat was top notch - the materials and quality of install are perfect. My engine cover was junk (rotted) and he made me a new one, rock solid with headrests and all. The black piping I asked for was done with carbon fiber material. He even did quality work in the areas you dont see, a true master of his craft. I would highly suggest you look into this shop and see some of their work before you go and spend money anywhere else. I'd always wanted a 21' Day Cruiser, the one i bought needed some work! While my Son and I stripped it down to the stringers to replaced the floor, we started looking for help doing things we do not know how to do. I walked a lot of fancy shops, that handed me really high quotes before I stumbled into Martinez Marine. The place wasn't fancy, but the boats that were there were! Top name, local built boats! Some were brand new getting upholstered for the first time. I started thinking this shop was going to be out of my price range. They were mid pack in price, and best in quality! They get busy in the spring so expect some delays if you try to knock this out that time of year. I dropped off the upper portion of my back seat from my eliminator Daytona for them to reupholster This was 4/3. I was told it would be about a week. I called on 4/10 and was told it would be ready for pick up on 4/16. I drove from lake Havasu to pick it up only to find that he hadn't even started it yet. He told me it would be ready that Saturday, 4/18 so on 4/21 I called so I could pick it up only to find it still wasn't done. The owner apologized many times telling me he would make it right. He promised it would be done by the end of the week which would've been 4/24. When I called to check on it 4/23 I was told it wouldn't be ready until the end of the day on Friday 4/24. I tried to call to verify it was done but the owner would not answer and voicemail was always full. Went to pick up 5/4 to find it was fixed but he didn't put the bolts through the back so it could be affixed to the boat. Words like professional, honest and trustworthy are not on this owners business model. Oh btw. He took $50.00 off. Cost me a hundred bucks to drive out from Havasu only to find he hadn't even started it. He's a joke and I would never go back or refer anyone to his business. read more

I had a tough time with this company and thought about pulling my boat out of there shop but didn't (my fault for that). Dropped it off in March for upholstery, wet sand and new carpeting - $5100 job. Eddie said it would take 4-5 weeks but ended taking 3 months. Missed one trip to the river in May, and my first trip in June was cut short because the trim wires in my side panel throttle control got jacked up during the upholstery job and kept popping its fuse. Cost me $250 to find the problem and get that fixed. Eddie offered to reimburse me for, but nothing. That said, the boat looks great and all, but these guys give a lot of empty promises so just beware. read more

Not cheap, but excellent work! A few things not quite put back properly, but they readily fixed the ones I noticed--take good notes/pictures of your fixtures, things look different with new carpet! Eddie was great to work with! My only area to improve is communication when completion times changed. I made an extra trip based on an agreed completion, and wasn't able to call due to their full voicemail. This doesn't match the first class quality of the upholstery/carpet work. WARNING: This guy does clean work. But he will have your boat for MUCH longer than he said he would take. Ours was supposed to be ready mid June. Didn't get it back until late July. He said its cause he "moved shops" ok...but he knew he was moving before he agreed to take on our boat. He shouldn't have promised us it would be done mid June if he knew he would be moving shops and that it would hinder the process. The date that our boat was suppose to be done kept getting pushed back. And I mean about 3-4 times he said it will be ready by this day....not ready....okay it'll be ready Friday....not ready.....okay it'll be ready next Friday....not ready. Sketchy. We missed out on several river trips due to not having our boat back on time. My husband had a havasu trip planned for his bachelor weekend, guess what...the boat wasn't ready for that either. Even though that was way beyond the date the boat was supposed to be done. My father in law asked for a update on the boat, he was told that new carpet was put in...well he stopped by the shop a few days later to look at the boat and guess what? There was no carpet in. We went back that day again during business hours, no one was there. Gates were locked. No one was working on the boat. We followed another vendor inside after talking to Eddie from the vendors phone (because Eddie was dodging our phone calls and we couldn't get ahold of him). The boat was gutted sitting outside in the sun a mess, there was carpet then but it wasn't finished and was just thrown in. There was even old carpet still in. When we finally did get the boat back he forgot to order cup holders like he was supposed to so we did that on our own. He also ordered the wrong stand for a chair so he put a temporary one in until we took it back and had the right base put in (we made sure to not even detach the boat from the truck while he did that or else it would have been there another week. Lol but seriously) Also when he was "done" with our boat and we got it back, there was still markings all over the new upholstery from him working on it. It looks dirty. So we will have to go through and wipe down all the new interior too. It's like this guy has no pride in his work. The upholstery job itself looks nice but it's such a freaking hassle dealing with this guy. The new carpet looks butchered in some areas you can tell it won't last long. Tacky. This guy, Eddie, is a LIAR. He's sketchy. Will avoid your calls and keep your boat way longer than he said. It's a headache. You will have to babysit to make sure work is being done to your boat. I do not trust him and I DO NOT recommend anyone take their boat here. read more

I took my boat in for a complete interior. I was told it would be 4 to 6 weeks. When I dropped it off, the time was changed to 2 months. At the end of the two months, I asked if it was done and was told it would be a little longer. When I asked to come see it, I was told there was not much to see and to call back in 2 weeks. I waited and again called and was told tell same thing. 2 weeks later, I was in the area so I stopped by. I saw my boat and they had not even touched it. No only that, they did not even cover it with the tarp I provided. Long story short it took 8 months to get my boat back. The big issue though was they were 500 dollars over budget. Upon first inspection, it looked really good, but when I went to take it out, I notes they did not repair the gel coat, stole my Bimini top, broke one stereo speaker and failed to hook up another one. The top they made for the boat did not fit properly and allows water to get into the boat. The brand new carpet i put in just prior to them getting it is now ruined. Also the driver seat was not attached and torn due to a screw ripping the material. I tried many times to contact Eddie. Too many times to count and he never responded. Finally, I told him I was going to take it to another shop to have it repaired. At that point Eddie contacted me and told me he would fix all items to make things right. That was over 6 months ago and every time I try to contact him he avoids my calls and messages. Long story short, I am going to have to spend almost 2000 dollars to make things right and sue him in court. I will be filing charges for theft of my top and tarp I gave to them and suing for the cost plus damages. I spoke with one of his employees and told him how angered I was and he told me it happens all the time. This was one of the worst experiences I have had with any businesses and advise you to avoid the drama. I could have gotten the same work done for about 1000 less, but felt Eddie had better experience and would do a better job. Boy was I wrong. If you do business with this company after reading this, you have been warned. Too bad they make you give one star, because this place deserves a 0. read more

I was going to try a.different shop in Rancho but the guy was very slow returning my calls. Well I searched the web and this shop poped up. After all I like doing business in the town I live in. It was time to replace my boat cover and they offered a good selection of a top brand. I also had some panel work done. I was pretty happy with the price and the the workmanship. Eddie Martinez was real cool and professional. Eddie's Dad was the initial contact person who was nice and very helpful. I recently brought Eddie (the owner) two freshly painted bucket seats to have them upholstered. When I dropped them off he told me that it was going to cost $800 and I thought that was a little pricey but he told me they would come out perfect, so I went ahead with it. Two weeks later he had one of his workers drop the seats off to me. Much to my surprise when the seats arrived the paint had been destroyed and the upholstery looked horrible and dirty. He then told me he was going to pay my painter to fix the paint and he was going to fix the covers so they looked perfect. I tried to meet with Eddie on multiple occasions to see the finished seats before they went to my painter but he kept dodging me and then he dropped the "finished" seats off to my painter and gave him $200 of $1000 he was owed and told him I was going to cover the difference, which I was completely unaware of and had not agreed to. Now Eddie has completely stopped answering/returning my phone calls. This company does horrible work, does not respect its customers, and has now scammed me out of $800. I DO NOT RECOMMEND ANYONE TO USE THIS COMPANY THEY ARE PROFESSIONAL SCAMMERS AND WILL MORE THAN LIKELY CAUSE MORE DAMAGE THAN GOOD! read more
