If I could give negative stars I would...Tried to explain a problem to the owner Richard then he proceeds to tell me that I'm driving my SXS like a "bat out of hell" and that's why it keeps breaking, kept talking over me and then hung up the phone on me when I called out his ignorant comment due to the fact that the SXS I was trying to fix is for our ranch and never goes over 20 MPH! I'm going to tell you about my experience. I took my jet ski to Richard. I ask him if he had room. He said yes. 2 weeks turned to 3 months. He had giving every excuse in the book. Once I got it back, took my ski out for the first time and started leaking oil from the same place. Another thing, when I picked it up, he had screws missing and miss placed my battery. It's such a relief to find an atv repair shop that is pretty quick in repairing my ds650, knowledgeable in determining the problem, and is honest and has a high level of integrity. I brought in my ds650 with a bad big bore job that a different shop did. Rich kept me posted to the progress as he got the problem fixed he goes above and beyond in the repair. I got my ds650 back fixed and running great in time for the riding season and the cost was a welcome relief from what I've paid to other shops in the past. A few months ago I had some work that was supposed to be done, actually it was just a simple tune up. 1.5 months later after a couple of calls my quad had not been worked on or even looked at. The worst part of it is the owner lost my battery! When I asked about it he played coy. Then he proceeded to let me look through all of his batteries. Well a lot can happen in a month and a half as far as losing my battery or giving it to somebody else. But nothing had happened in that long time to my quad. ( He offered no solution to return my battery that had cost me about $130 ) This is no way to run a business and I really hope you save yourself time and headache and avoid people who do not get anything done. So my quad sat here for almost two months and it cost me a battery and time that I could have spent working on this myself. It took my about 6 hours to run through the whole quad myself and this guy couldn't do it in 1.5 months. Pretty pathetic business model and a horrible way to treat customers or just any people in general. Avoid, AVOID, AVOID AT ALL COSTS! (Wish I didn't have to give any stars but 1 is the minimum, I would rate this place negative if possible) read more

I'm very glad to have found Rich and Active Motorsports. I've been working on a imported mini truck that required metric sized fuel line and couldn't find it at the regular auto supply shops. I started calling motorcycle repair shops as this type of lines is common on Japanese motorcycles. When I finally got down the list to Active Motorsports Rich answered the phone and had 6 feet of it on hand. I immediately headed down to pick it up. His shop is clean and the work area looks well organized. We talked for a while about dirtbikes and I left with my fuel line. Two days later I went back to him to mount 4 new tires on UTV rims. Once again, he was professional and charged a very fair price for the service. I have a 600 sq. foot shop at my house and do 99% of my own work on my dirtbikes and boat however if I find myself needing a real professional to repair something I will 100% be going to Rich and Active Motorsports. These guys are no kinda mechanics I would let work on anything. Look around at there shop and see how messy and dusty it is and talk to there neighbors about them. Tire shop is an honest group of guys. Neighbors will straight tell u the truth. Guy aint working on there stuff either. I bought a two quads been setting for along time. Owner supposedly was gonna rebuild carburetors. I took them off the bikes and took carbs to the guy. I was all super excited when he called and said they was ready. Mind you I paid for carb kit but why he didn't replace any of the brass or even clean the things at all. So I put them back on the bikes and wanted go for a ride. No way they both idled like crap. Picking up my carburetors I realized the owner was drunk and was a clown. Dudes desk looks like he's a construction foreman bidding on millions of dollars of work. Stacks of dust and clutter is example of how your stuff will be treated. So long story short he charged me couple hundred bucks and didn't do a thing to the carbs. I took a bike back to him with carb on it and he was drunk again gave me run around talking about it was electrical problem. No no no my carburetor need cleaned and rebuilt. So I took bikes to another shop they cleaned the carburetors replaced all t he brass in them and now the quads are running great. So how do I feel about the guy that recommended this shop. Hes a idiot and his judgment sucks. So don't drop off your bikes to this guy he will swap parts to other bike or upgrade his part so he can build his own bike. Complete rip off . Other shop that fixed my carburetors and got it running told me such negative things that this guy didn't to my carburetors. Jets was so loose they fell out when they took carb apart. Owner of this shop is full of shit and his worker is to. Ask his worker something in front of the owner. Worker will bite his lips. Ask them for a screw driver and see how weird they get. Bunch of clowns in there I am spending this time to right this to save people money and frustrations. Steal parts and make lies is what dude does. he keeps going through workers because they realize dudes a joke. Please don't even let this guy work on anything you care about. At the bar I bet dude is cool but not gonna work on anything of mine ever again. Wasted time money and I felt like I got clowned. read more
