We had flooring installed in our whole first floor. The installers were awesome. The quality of the job was excellent. The problems were: 1. Our salesperson transferred to a different store and our order was delayed significantly. 2. The project manager, Rob was unprofessional. He was at our home and had a concern, instead of talking to us about it, he had the office call and threaten to suspend the installation. The information the office received wasn't even accurate. 3. Nobody ever came out after the installers left to inspect or ask us if we were happy with the work. 4. They sent us an invoice after the job with an additional charge for laminate removal, which was never performed. 5. Our sales contract indicated that 2 people would be there for the install and would move furniture. I moved almost all the furniture myself and the last 2 days of the install, only one person was here. 6. We were told there would be one person on-site that spoke English at all times. The last 2 days of the install, the sole installer spoke almost no English, which was stressful. 7. Due to the stress and confusion caused by Rob and the office, we will not be using them to install flooring on our second floor. This whole experience was disappointing because they came as so highly recommended. If anyone would be considering having their floors done by this company, I would ensure Rob is not the project manager. After I posted my comments, the sales director reached out to provide a "listening ear". He did acknowledge the issues and apologized. He did seem sincere but nothing was offered to make things right. They offered to come out, look at the finished work and shake my hand. read more

Huge rip-off! Go somewhere else! I received 4 quotes for a LVF job. Martin's Flooring, Lancaster, was the second most expensive but I believed their sales pitch about professionalism and guaranteed quality work. From the moment they had my 50% deposit it was downhill. Many delays in getting the work done and when they finally did the install it was rushed shoddy work. In addition to LVF I had them install trim. They used cheap particle board not wood. I took pictures of the poor workmanship and filed my complaint. They sent a person out to evaluate. They agreed to replace the trim but said the floor install was adequate even though they admitted it wasn't the best layout according to manufacturer's recommendations. The second trim install was delayed and again a rushed job but acceptable. Everyone was polite, but overall, I believe they are deceptive and lack integrity. Very disappointing experience in fall of 2021. Mon 1/24/22 spoke with the Showroom Manager. He apologized for the poor experience and said he would use it as a learning tool. Very disappointed in Martin's flooring. I talked to Tim the manager when I had one box of flooring that I wanted to return and he said I would only get back half which I was ok with and when I called back to talk to the salesman that sold us the box of flooring she told us we were not able to return it. Seems like they will do anything to make the sale just not honor the agreement to return if needed. I understood there would be a hefty restocking fee but Bonnie said sorry we won't be able to do that. Sad to lose a customer over $85. read more

We just had Martin's install floors for us. This experience has been amazing from start to finish. Sharon in the Lancaster store was beyond awesome helping us pick out the right color floor to go in our home. The delivery of the floors and listening to their employee talk about how much he loved this company and how they pride themselves in customer service was refreshing to hear. Kenny who did the install was polite, knowledgeable, and helped with any questions we had during the install process. He did a great job! Even when we had an issue-they are on it-walking us through the process and addressing our concerns. I can 100% say I will use them again for my future flooring needs and this is a company that prides themselves in customer service and wants to make sure you are happy. At first, I was happy. Install crew were great. Upon further inspection, their work is ok. Price isn't any better then local competitors. I'm not as "strict" as I should be with this kind of stuff. I try to give the benefit of the doubt, especially to the installers, so I let some imperfections slide because they weren't too important to me. Paid extra to have fridge moved. Beware, the disconnecting and connecting of water lines is a courtesy, you are not protected from any damage to water line. This was not made clear to us and apparently it should have been. No fault of the installer necessarily, but I'd like to think the would want to make things right. This was our second experience with this company....too bad its our last. read more

Our experience with Martin's flooring was very mixed at first. We installed LVT flooring on the first and second floor of our condo. The meetings with the salesperson, Bonnie, went great. She was very helpful and knowledgeable. Scheduling for the measurements and installation went well, although the estimate did not have a break down on cost and amount of flooring being ordered. The first installer was pleasant although when I asked to have our flooring installed lengthwise through the first floor, he strongly suggested it go crosswise instead so that it didn't come off looking like a "bowling alley". I really didn't want it that way, however, I caved in to his objection as I was told repeatedly that their installers were experts in the field. The job took an extra 1 1/4 days longer than was expected, and in the end, the flooring we chose was beautiful, HOWEVER, I am still to this day not happy with the direction it was installed. **UPDATE** I want to applaud Martin's customer service. We had concerns with our initial flooring installation, most specifically with the direction the tiles were installed. After expressing our feelings about how it went, we were contacted by Martin's who then came out to assess the situation and discuss what fixes could be done to make it right. They were very willing to do what it would take to accommodate my situation which restored my faith in the company. I know that things happen sometimes, but it is truly how a company handles it afterward that is important to me. After all, you can get flooring almost anywhere. It's the customer service that makes all the difference. The flooring selection is great. Sales staff are super and very helpful. The installation was where the frustration came in, but in the end, it's all working out. I'd use Martin's again. read more

I received a phone call from Martin's flooring last week to inform me that the company after exhaustive efforts with the tile manufacturer will be replacing my floors at no cost to me. We stayed up all night the evening before installation painting and prepping rooms for carpet. The next day padding was layed, carpet came in- IT WAS THE WRONG COLOR/CARPET! Wouldn't it be awesome if a $1000 deposit would insure the right materials? Needless to say, we had to wait 2 more weeks for carpet to come again (for 4 rooms). We were given NOTHING for our inconvienience to our family except for a gas card. (which is offered as a free promo when you order carpet right now) Not happy with this company and will NOT be recommending them or using them to carpet the rest of my house. One good thing i can say is the carpet installer was awesome, obviously well trained and just a cool guy, thanks Ron! read more

We ordered hardwood from Martin's almost a month in advance. On the DAY of delivery they informed us that they didn't have the floor and it would be another 3-4 weeks. We were in the middle of a project so this delay was unacceptable. Furthermore, we learned from our contractor that Martin's knew of the problem 4 days earlier but they never said anything to us (they knew on Thursday and install was supposed to be Monday). Just didn't show up on the day of delivery. At least some more notice would have helped us find an alternative faster. Terrible customer service all around. Prices are outrageous. They will show you bottom line of your install but wont share line by line of charges (which are huge) Shop around! You can get the same flooring products elsewhere (All are Shaw, Armstrong, Mannington labeled differently) Check out CKC, Superior, Lowes, you name it...never accept the first price quote.
