I had explained what I wanted a quote on (flooring) and had scheduled a day for a quote. I had reached out to NHF and explained that I would be out of town 4/12, but my realtor and mother would be present and know exactly what I wanted done. 4/20...I'm still waiting on a quote. I reached out to Susan who was very pleasant and stated she would call me back after speaking with Chip. Chip called me back within 5 minutes (called me Nathan, my name is Zachary) and was very rude on the phone, stating he was blind sided when her got to the property. He said he didn't know what to measure (why would you agree to do a quote without knowing what needed to be measured before hand?) even though my realtor, mother and Susan (sales clerk) knew exactly what I wanted. My realtor reported he wasn't very approachable. Come to find out he never measured and left, never informing me of this. Meanwhile, I'm sitting around waiting on a quote. I will never use NHF for anything. It sucks because Susan was great and they have great products. Chip needs to take a class on customer service etiquette. Go to Weckers, better customer service!

Once again we used North Hills Flooring to perform work in our home and we are absolutely thrilled…read morewith the service, materials and professional workmanship. The job site was kept immaculately clean throughout each work day with a final clean at the end of work day #5. With due care, we were able to use our kitchen and access the stairs to our 2nd floor while the work was being performed. The disgusting DIY flooring was demolished, the existing subfloor was screwed down virtually eliminating all of the existing floor squeaks, the installer relieved a hump in the middle of the kitchen, installed the Luan underlayment to the existing subfloor with literally thousands of staples, and sealed all joints with Ardex. The installer expertly trimmed underneath all wood moldings and kitchen cabinets so that the LVT could be installed underneath instead of just abutting the moldings and cabinets. There were 5 major areas that needed to be squared on the floor prior to laying out the tiles, cementing the underlayment, and installing the LVT. All 3 of the cased wall openings received identical reveals between the LVT and other flooring materials. New shoe moldings, cove base and transition strips were installed, and the entire job site was cleaned squeaky clean. This was the 3rd project done for us in our home by North Hills Flooring, and we will definitely use them once again during our next remodel. The owners, Chip & Susan Weile, are extremely knowledgeable about the products they sell, and they both have an artistic eye toward home interior design.

So I went to Carpet Tile Mart mid August to ask for service to repair and replace two tiles. I showed them pictures and they scheduled a contractor to come out a few weeks later, on September 12th. A contractor did come out and he looked at it and told my Mom he would be back the following week to fix it. He never came back. So I went back to Carpet Tile Mart in October to complain and the manager there, Mark, claimed this contractor was "very busy", but he assured me that the contractor Bill would be in contact. Still no response. So I went back in November to complain again and Mark said he just texted Bill and that he would be in contact with us. Thanksgiving went by, still not repaired. So my sister contacted Carpet Tile and finally in December, she got a response that Bill would be coming out to fix the floor on Monday, Dec 18th. We waited all day and no one showed, or contacted us to say they couldn't make it. Finally after Christmas, my sister contacted the manager of Carpet Tile and he basically said "sorry, it is out of my hands". That the contractor was an outside contractor for Carpet Tile. Then on December 22nd, Bill left a message saying he would send someone out on Wednesday, December 26th. My sister actually talked to him and he assured her his assistant would call 30 minutes before arrival because he lives very close to my mother's house. This was on December 26th. This was a full 4 months after I initially went to Carpet Tile to request service for my mother. The guy never showed up. If I could give them minus zero stars I would but because I can't, they get one star for the most terrible service after installation. I think it is so disrespectful of a company to wash their hands of an issue instead of trying to resolve it. They just lost a very loyal customer. We have been using Carpet Tile Mart for over 40 years. Very sad. I'm writing this as a business owner and I would never run my company like that and leave the customer hanging for over four months.

Our floors are engineered pecan. The actual wood measures about a quarter inch. Because of this, the work was challenging. Randall explained his entire process to us before the work began. He and Mickey paid attention to every detail from start to finish. Plastic was put up around the sanding areas to limit the dust getting into other parts of the house. A special vacuum was used during the sanding process to keep the area as dust-free as possible. Then the floors were coated twice with a low luster, water-based product and we love the finish better than the shiny floor we had prior. The finished floors are beautiful and make the whole house look like new. I highly recommend Kevin Smith Flooring to refinish your hardwood floors. One of the reasons we chose this company is because floors are all they do. They are knowledgeable about everything hardwood floors. Their work is high quality with reasonable pricing.
