Due to this, half of our funeral procession got lost and didn't even go to the burial and straight to the reception after. This is not reason #1 of #2 why I was annoyed, though. -At the actual funeral, they had the nerve to approach my father (whose father we were burying) with a bill. Beyond unacceptable. We had been going to this funeral home for years apparently, but that alone is enough for me to ever want to go there again. They also turned the lights out on us when we were outside talking after the wake was over the night before, which was very childish too. Could have just came out and told us it was time to leave. We were paying them thousands of dollars for a nice setup, and that is the treatment we got? Obnoxious.

My mom put my in control to handle the majority of arrangements because she was not mentally & physically able to do it on her own...because of the loss of her mom, who she cared for in her home for over 20yrs. I was in a complete PANIC trying to find a funeral home. When I called Ms. Victoria of San Juan Memorial Chapel, in Brooklyn, NY, she was the most empathetic, supportive, patient, informative and thorough professional I encountered during this devastating time. Others made it ALLLLLLL about freakin money!! wanted cash upfront, etc. no empathy at all. She gave my mom & I so much support, trust and encouragement! Recently, I reached out to get information on how to transfer some of my grandma's ashes into urn lockets! When I tell you the love and support she gave me was astronomical. First of all... she remembered me. She gave me options to help facilitate what I needed to do and how to accomplish my goal. I will NEVER EVER forget this beautiful, kind and gentle soul who helped my family back in 2020... but again.. 6 yrs later. You don't come across authenticity like this. People just want the money... but she wanted to give professional and top notch service. Which she did. I am forever grateful , thankful and appreciative!!! So is my mom!!! PERIODT

That's why it took soo damn long because THEY WAITED TO EVEN GET MY SON. And they can't lie about it because the Disposition date and cremation date are the same: Jan 14th. She put flowers on my son's urn making it look like a girls urn, an option no one consented for and when she originally showed us the urn, IT WAS BLUE, NOT PURPLE. HAD NO CATALOGS TO SELECT FROM, ONLY TEXT MESSAGES. I hope no Afro latino, African American, or other melanated families come to THIS business for service. SHE'S a liar, and a colorist. From the time we connected with them days leading up to my mother's passing until the burial was more than we expected.. Jean connected us to Ansa and everything flowed from there. Ansa walked us through the process and kept in contact with us even when we were concerned about the delay in transport of our mother from NC to NY. They answered all questions at all times of the day. They with us at all times. If we needed adjustments , they did it. The way they prepared his body for viewing. He looked like himself a few years back. A perfect color match and he looked healthier than when he passed. I can't explain it. He looked like dad. Our service ran long and they didn't rush us. He was able secure police escort through the towns all the way to his resting place. Lou was the best. My mom has already told us she wants them to be in charge of her arrangements.
