We went here for my birthday. We arrived 7:50 when the website said they were open until 9. The hostess said the kitchen closes in 5 minutes we would have to hurry and already know what we wanted to eat. I had already looked at the menu online so we decided to chance it. Your server can really make or break your experience. Let's start with the good. The views from this place are absolutely incredible. Docking the boat and grabbing some food and beer while the sun is setting, is such a vibe (as the kids say). However, having an inattentive server that doesn't check on you, while you wait 70 min for your food on a kinda busy Wednesday night. To me that is unacceptable. By the time I got my food, after 70 min wait, it was wrong. To the restaurants credit, the manager did offer to make me a fresh burger. At that point I lost my appetite. I was so disappointed! Will I be back...maybe? I'm not itching to go back any time soon though . And if you have or know someone with a boat you can get these views in a lot of other places on the lake. The one aspect that is egregious and I can't overlook is $12 for a side salad with a sprinkle and I mean a sprinkle of chicken ($6 upcharge!!!). You would never be able to tell that there was chicken on there unless someone told you. Views- 5 stars Food - 3 (mid but passable. Not from me since my order was wrong.) Went for a drive, wanted to be near the water so we ended up here. This place hasn't been open a year yet, so it felt intimate and warm. We sat outside close to the pier so that we could see the lake, the houses, and the activity on the water. We only ordered onion rings & a Shirley temple, but our server was the kindest, friendliest soul, sharing the history of the area & places to go where the locals hang out. This place is open to the public, but it seemed as if most of the folks hanging out there are part of the boat club. But everyone was friendly, has a great vibe, and we're definitely going back. read more

We arrived by pontoons, twenty of us! We split up in to two groups, boys and girls. we were seated immediately and given menus, water, and yummy complimentary pork rinds. Our waitress, Lisa, was exceptional and that is an understatement! The ladies were numbered off 1 through 10. Lisa took our drink orders and then went to the men and matched their numbers to the corresponding spouse. Drinks came out quickly and then the food order was taken the same way. All the food came out at once. They meals were hot and absolutely delicious! Lisa and her crew were extremely efficient and always swinging by to see if we needed anything, all while attending other tables. I really had high hopes for this restaurant since it has been totally renovated from the old Buffalo Creek. The decor and seating areas, both inside and out are beautiful. But that's about the most positive thing I can say about the whole place. We went for dinner on the lake Friday night with friends. We arrived about 6:30 PM, expecting there to be a crowd or a wait. Luckily we were seated on the outside deck area. We sat for roughly 15 minutes before one of the people in our party asked someone if we had a waitress. After a few minutes, a young lady came to take our drink order. This was her first night working there. We already knew what we wanted to order and we were able to give her both. I ordered a cheeseburger, very specifically asking that the burger be cooked well done. We ordered an appetizer and our meals and waited. We waited about 25 minutes for our food. The appetizer never arrived and neither did our drinks. It was not overly crowded so we were very confused as to why it took so long. When our food arrived, my husband's grilled chicken salad did not have any salad dressing which he had asked for on the side. My friend and my cheeseburgers were rare on the inside and a neither one had cheese. By the way, we still have not received any drinks or appetizer. When she finally brought our food, it did not even occur to her that our drinks were not on the table. We had to remind her of what we ordered. When she came back with our drinks, we let her know about the lack of cheese on our cheeseburgers and my husband's "dressing-less" salad. We also informed her that our appetizer had never arrived so to please take it off of our bill. Instead of taking our plate of burgers and sending it back to the kitchen to have cheese, put on them, the waitress brought out a bowl with two slices of cold cheese. It was at this time we asked to speak to the manager. It took 15 minutes for Bruno, the manager, to come out and talk to us. We tried to explain to him what was wrong and he was very defensive and shouted, "one at a time!" He Basically told us that he could do one of two things- remake the burgers omor cancel the order. Not once did he apologize for the inconvenience. It took 20 minutes for us to get our burgers. When they brought them back to us, Bruno did not even come over to our table and ask if they were OK. We never saw him again. A very poorly managed place! We have eaten at this location many times over the last 15 years being on the lake when it was Buffalo Creek. Whoever the new person that hired Bruno to manage this restaurant, needs to rethink their decision. Bruno has no managerial skills whatsoever! While we were waiting for our food, a table of three people sat down next to us. They watched everything that was going on. When they saw the problems we were having with our orders, they got up and left. This is a very popular area on our lake. I hope that someone actually reads this review who works in the restaurant and that there is a lot more training done before the start of summer. This has the potential of being a really great place but they greatly need to improve their customer service read more

The building inside and out is beautiful! Great vibes! Can't believe this once was the home of Buffalo. They def put a lot of detail in this place. We ordered the mozzarella sticks- they are fat and full. Pretty good, prob not $12 good. We also both got the wings - my husband got the buffalo and I got the dry rub. His sauce was very tasty not too hot. Medium he says. The dry rub was a mix of Lowry's and old bay. Wings were a perfect size, not too big nor small. Veryyy crispy which we prefer. Priced excellently. Would def get again read more

Nice place to stop for lunch. Only issue the food is not consistent. They must have different cooks some experience, some not.

This is a completely redone environment with great indoor or outdoor seating accessible by land or boat from Lake Murray. We had a party of 20, they didn't flinch. The service was outstanding. Drinks served quickly. Everyone's food came out timely, hot, and tasting yummy! It was a great evening thanks to all of the staff at Martin's Landing! read more

It is a beautiful new facility with a great bar and welcome addition to the lake. The beer was cold, the service was about what i expected, obviously our waitress (Sam) was new to the facility as is everyone else, but she did a nice job considering the circumstances. The food is where the restaurant fell short, It has a very limited menu, not sure if it is the permanent menu or not. Burgers, chicken sandwich, fish sandwich, fish and chips, chicken tenders, chicken wings, calamari, onion rings salads etc. As you can tell mostly frozen food and deep fried. When you have 4 burgers on the menu it should be good. (IT IS NOT) The burger patties are about the equivalent size of a McDonalds double cheeseburger, but dry. It had a good bun that could hold up to a nice hand-pattied burger (Have these owners never been to Big Man's Marina for a burger to see what a real burger is). The lettuce on my burger was not fresh and had brown Spots. The fries were fine, the onion rings were cooked to smithereens and were full of grease. Food was edible but not anywhere near what i was expecting. will still go back, but the food will not be the reason. They had a Chef's special of shrimp and grits, if a Chef is running the kitchen you better hire a Cook. It amazes me to spend all that time and money building a beautiful restaurant and serve pretty much frozen food. Try a Thick Cut Bologna Sandwich. read more
