    Panoramic from the rooftop patio

We switched to this hotel at the last minute when our travel dates changed and our original hotel was no longer able to accommodate us. What a happy accident it was! The place is the perfect location - 30 second walk to Piazza Navona (but not a ton of noise), 5 minute walk to the Pantheon, 8 minute walk to Trevi Fountain, 15 minute walk to the Spanish Steps, 20 minute walk to St. Peter's Square and 10 minute walk to Trastevere. We enjoyed the family suite (really just two adjoining rooms), which offered space and privacy, plus two queen sized beds and 2 full bathrooms. The room also had amazing blackout curtains and some high tech pluses like fancy light switches. I was surprised with those updates that I didn't see a single USB plug anywhere. The only criticism of the room overall was the bed. VERY firm. Some might say too firm. The standout feature (other than the prime location) was the included breakfast. Beautiful presentation with fresh offerings each day. I will definitely be back and recommend this place to others!

We wanted to have a traditional Aperol Spritz on a rooftop so we could have the perfect view of the sunset and Martis Palace Hotel delivered. We were immediately greeted and sat upstairs. The Aperol Spritz was the best we had while in Italy. They also provide complimentary "snacks" consisting of bruchetta, quiche, nuts, chips- all amazing. So glad we found this place and would def recommend for anyone looking for a romantic sunset view.

Beautiful hotel in the heart of Rome! The staff were incredibly friendly. The hotel itself is quite modern and they have a lovely rooftop terrace that you must visit if you're staying here.

Under no circumstances this place is 41/2 star!!! My family and I arrived here in the middle of the day with few suitcases. Front lobby of this hotel you must climb stairs not ADA friendly. Dirty towels, broken bathroom vanities disgusting stained bedding, rooms smelled like mold and musk nothing in the room was complimentary not even a water bottle. The complimentary breakfast that came with our package limited choices. Not staying here again and you all don't waste your money. Oh by the way yes they had bidet bathrooms but falling apart

Excellent location, amazing staff, large modern rooms, steps from Piazza Navona, Pantheon, lots of shops, restaurants and cafes. Rooftop lounge. The rooms have wooden floors, high ceilings, automatic lights and drapes. Great breakfast is included and guest privileges to the spa at their nearby sister hotel.

That made the location extremely convenient. The hotel sits a short walk from Basilica of Santa Maria Maggiore, where Pope Francis is buried. Some areas near the main train station are often described as unsafe by Italian standards. We did not experience that near the hotel. Tourists and locals were out late, and the neighborhood stayed active into the evening. Rome is compact and easy to navigate. Most major attractions felt reachable within about 20 minutes by taxi, bus, or rail. We tried to visit the Trevi Fountain at 10:00 pm to avoid crowds. That plan failed completely(see pic). It was packed. Locals eat later than in the U.S., and many parts of the city stay busy well into the night. Restaurants remain open late. A note for U.S. travelers. European hotel rooms run smaller for the price. Even using Hilton points, our room would have cost close to $700 per night USD and felt small. The hotel offers a pleasant rooftop bar and a spacious lobby with multiple seating areas. The buffet breakfast was a solid, comfortable way to start the day. It was included for us as Hilton Diamond members. I am unsure of the cash price. Overall, the location and amenities make this a smart pre-cruise choice, especially for travelers relying on rail connections.

However, it is quietly nestled in a beautiful little neighborhood. It is very quiet and quaint. Upon arrival we were greeted with the welcoming staff and escorted into the ruins beyond the lobby where we were brought a lovely tiramisu welcome treat to enjoy while taking in the ruins. The room is impressively large with a huge bathroom. We had a plush king sized bed with cozy down bedding. The thick beautiful curtains ensured that the room was perfectly dark for great sleep even if we wanted a mid day nap. There was a lovely little balcony with a view of the courtyard. With the curtains open the natural light is perfect. The bed was comfortable and we Sisto very nicely here. The bathroom is very big with a walk in shower and bidet with all toiletries needed to have a comfortable stay. I will say I was a bit bummed that the tile warmer was not functional but the hotel was very kind offering anything to make sure that we were happy. This was not a problem and we stayed in this room as warming towels us a perk but not a requirement. I would also note that the building is quite old and the bathroom had a metallic smell perhaps from the pipes of older plumbing but it was fine as long as we kept the bathroom door closed. I think the hotel was really concerned that we were upset but we absolutely were not just keep in mind this building is antique and if you are coming from the US where everything is new and not used to a potential aroma of antiquity be prepared to experience a true European city and do not complain. All details are thought of here including mini bar, clothes steamer, hair dryer, toiletries and a welcome gift. The staff is so friendly and welcoming. They are always ensuring that we were comfortable and happy. We absolutely loved our stay here. The hotel is a special place and experience. The nostalgia of standing and staying where the Romans once stood 2000 years ago was definitely a treat! The hotel has a rooftop terrace where we enjoyed breakfast in the mornings and wine in the evening. The lounge just inside of the terrace is cozy and comfortable to enjoy a glass of wine or cocktail in the evening and there's a cozy fireplace to warm up, which we took full advantage of after a long wet rainy day in the colosseum and Roman forum. We had a great stay here and would highly recommend it to anyone looking for a special Roman experience. We will definitely be back!
