HOTEL BAROCCO is exquisite luxury and perfect walking distance of Trevi Fountain and delicious restaurants. The staff are so very professional, pleasant, courteous and helpful. They speak English very well and their concierge is the best! I cannot stress how fantastic this location is. The hotel is in a very quiet location but just steps away you can take in great shopping and a few blocks in one direction, the Trevi Fountain and great people out and about dining and shopping. Two blocks the opposite direction appears to be a financial area with more fantastic restaurants AND the Hop on Hop off bus- to our surprise- lands right near by! (We hopped on at the Vatican because we were so tired from so much walking and opted to get off of the Hop on Hop Off bus at the Trevi Stop - and low and behold- there's HOTEL BAROCCO ! So fabulous the delicious breakfast is included and the cocktail of Prosecco in the evening. The rooms are super glamorous as is the bathroom with full tub, marble throughout, and luxurious bedding for a perfect nights sleep. When they call a cab for you, it's only a few moments away because of the hotel's great reputation. This hotel is a true gem of luxury in a perfect location with an amazing staff throughout. Love it and definitely will return and I highly recommend for your visit to Roma.

Would not recommend this hotel in Rome. Even though this place is in a good location in the city, I was located next to the elevator and the housecleaning closet. Very loud in the evening and early morning. I could hear the kitchen banging around at around 6 AM. The alley view was horrible as well.I could hear everything out there as well. The shades in my bathroom didn't cover the whole window. The hallways in this hotel were very narrow so I could hear the people across from me. I couldn't sleep. I could hear everyone. I had to go buy noise canceling headphones. I was just disappointed with how little insulation this hotel had. Couldn't sleep for the full 10 days I was there.

Located on the Piazza Tritone. Moderately busy. Yet quiet enough to sleep at night. Via Tritone is close by with all of its shopping opportunities. The small hotel is a delightful old building that has been modestly modernized. The side street entry is small, you'd almost miss it if you're in a hurry. Don't worry your taxi driver knows this place. The reception area and lobby room are also quite small. Our room had an old world feel. Big four poster bed and Victorian age furniture. Fixtures all work fine, plenty of hot water in the shower (which can be a problem in many of these old central city buildings). All staff are nice. Almost all speak English. But as always throughout Italy you get treated extra warmly and will learn some inside secrets from the staff about the city if you speak Italian. Breakfast is included with the room rate. Typical generous tourist hotel buffet assortment and hot food from the kitchen. Food quality is quite good. The dining room is charming. Room rates for a superior class run about 140 euros / night. I stayed 3 nights. Enjoyed the place.

Incredible describes not only the hotel but the Incredible staff. From the front desk to the dining staff to the maids. Absolutely love these people. Would definitely stay there again.

This hotel was incredible! Perfect location, perfect customer service, perfect amenities, we will definitely return. All of the hotel staff were super friendly and I cannot recommend this hotel enough! We also arrange a transfer from the airport to the hotel through them which was a seamless process. Thank you Hotel Barocco!

OUTSTANDING HOTEL AND STAFF. If you are in Rome, stay here. Breakfast was plentiful, full American style and the staff wen above and beyond. They helped with reservations, tips, and when we lost our camera elsewhere - they made many efforts to help us. We felt at home here and I cannot say enough. They really made our trip memorable!!

As Americanos traveling to Rome for the first time, we could not have been more pleased with this boutique hotel. It's in a great part of Rome that was safe and colorful. The bed was the best I've slept on and the staff were extremely helpful and so nice at all times. In particular, but not limited to these few names, our nightly bartender, Gean Luca. Stefano, who took care of us at breakfast and Valerio and Lisa at reception. There aren't a lot of extras in terms of say a pool or large restaurant but it really felt like a Roman experience to us. It was quite cool during our visit so I can't say what the hotel will be like in the heat of summer, but it was perfecto for us. Gracie mille Hotel Barocco!

Five stars. One of the best hotels I've stayed in. And this one will be hard to beat for any future hotels I'll be staying in. Google map lead us to the corner of the hotel, and when we rang the wrong bell, one of the hotel staffs came running out to lead us to the right entrance. Beautifully arranged rooms with complimentary fruits and wine. We stayed in two different rooms over our course of stay, loved both rooms. The rooms were always kept clean, and whenever we came back from dinner, Good Evening mats were rolled out beside our bed. The breakfast was the best we've had in any hotels. They have amazing selection of foods at the breakfast buffet, and all other items you can order on the menu were complimentary as well. Most importantly, the staff were very friendly and professional on all levels. All of them genuinely welcomed our stay and helped to make everything be the best. Writing this review makes me want to be there again. Thank you for making our stay so comfortable and memorable. It's a memory I'll always treasure.

This has to be the most accommodating hotel I have ever stayed in. From the moment I arrived and until I left the staff were helpful and courteous. The room was beautiful and breakfast is amazing! I would love to come back.

If you are wanting to stay at a full-service, Hilton branded hotel property while in Rome without…read moregoing bankrupt doing so, The Doubletree Hotel by Hilton Rome Monti would be a solid choice. By Rome standards for a full-service hotel, it would be considered affordable by many. But just to be clear, it is not ultra-inexpensive. For the money, it is firmly in the 4-star hotel genre (getting a 5-star Yelp rating from me within this category because I could find nothing wrong with it during my stay). So, while it may not have crystal chandeliers and butlers running around, it is definitely not a student tourist level hostel. It has modern, comfortable public spaces, elevators that hold more than 2 people at a time, a restaurant with a good breakfast spread, and well-appointed guest rooms with modern amenities and AC. I really don't need more than that when I am traveling solo for business so it was perfect for me given that set of circumstances. As a comparison, I have stayed at a 5-star Rome hotel which was absolutely a step up in terms of service, luxury features, and a sense of a personal attention. But when I am alone on business, that level of service is not necessary and can feel uncomfortable to me. There are plenty of cafe's and restaurants within a 10 min walk and it is a reasonable walk to attractions such as the Opera House, the Coliseum, and the Trevi Fountain. It is also a 10-minute walk to the main terminal Rome train station and the cool, local Nuovo Mercato Esquilino if you are into that type of thing like I am. I spent early mornings walking somewhere for coffee and then through the Mercato to watch the vendors work to ready their produce and meat to be pawed over by early restauranteurs which was a cool look at the underbelly life of this great city. I really liked that this hotel is not right up against the busy street and, on at least 2 sides of the building, there are streets that are not constantly jammed with the noise of traffic. My room fronted one of the quiet sides. It is unclear to me if I was upgraded to a nicer than standard room location because of my Hilton loyalty status but I had a very quiet stay in a room that was impeccably clean and could be easily darked out during the day if I needed a restorative nap for my jet lag. The gym was reasonably appointed and open 24/7 and the wi-fi speed was top notch. I had a great stay here for the money. Based on all of this, when in Rome in the future as a solo business traveler, I would be very happy to stay here again.

That made the location extremely convenient. The hotel sits a short walk from Basilica of Santa Maria Maggiore, where Pope Francis is buried. Some areas near the main train station are often described as unsafe by Italian standards. We did not experience that near the hotel. Tourists and locals were out late, and the neighborhood stayed active into the evening. Rome is compact and easy to navigate. Most major attractions felt reachable within about 20 minutes by taxi, bus, or rail. We tried to visit the Trevi Fountain at 10:00 pm to avoid crowds. That plan failed completely(see pic). It was packed. Locals eat later than in the U.S., and many parts of the city stay busy well into the night. Restaurants remain open late. A note for U.S. travelers. European hotel rooms run smaller for the price. Even using Hilton points, our room would have cost close to $700 per night USD and felt small. The hotel offers a pleasant rooftop bar and a spacious lobby with multiple seating areas. The buffet breakfast was a solid, comfortable way to start the day. It was included for us as Hilton Diamond members. I am unsure of the cash price. Overall, the location and amenities make this a smart pre-cruise choice, especially for travelers relying on rail connections.

The hotel is a beautiful structure and while a bit dated in some areas the overall appearance is very good and old world like I expected. Our room was very nice though there was no place to sit and read as the only chair was at a desk and another side chair that was not practical for reading. I would recommend they consider that. The breakfast buffet is one of the best I ever experienced in all my years of traveling with so many options you cannot possibly try them all. The omelette chef was so accommodating and friendly. We had lunch there the day we arrived, breakfast each day and even decided to dine there for dinner one night instead of going out. All the servers went above and beyond for us and made us feel so welcome. They have live music that is very classy and works great for the environment of the hotel. We saw several different duos for evening and breakfast services. We spent three nights in this hotel before we boarded our cruise ship and really enjoyed every minute there. Pro tip: Ironing boards/iron not in room and must be requested via Front Desk. However, you can have up to TWO items pressed daily Free. I deducted one star because our bed was lumpy - time to switch out the mattress! And be sure to request a room on floors 1-3. The fourth floor is right below the gym and very noisy during gym hours.

Upon arrival we were greeted with the welcoming staff and escorted into the ruins beyond the lobby where we were brought a lovely tiramisu welcome treat to enjoy while taking in the ruins. The room is impressively large with a huge bathroom. We had a plush king sized bed with cozy down bedding. The thick beautiful curtains ensured that the room was perfectly dark for great sleep even if we wanted a mid day nap. There was a lovely little balcony with a view of the courtyard. This was not a problem and we stayed in this room as warming towels us a perk but not a requirement. I would also note that the building is quite old and the bathroom had a metallic smell perhaps from the pipes of older plumbing but it was fine as long as we kept the bathroom door closed. I think the hotel was really concerned that we were upset but we absolutely were not just keep in mind this building is antique and if you are coming from the US where everything is new and not used to a potential aroma of antiquity be prepared to experience a true European city and do not complain.
