laundry and dirty entry to our hotel hallway

Think twice before staying here. Per the general manager's request, I sent an email with details about our stay. Here is a copy: 'Two nights ago, our family had drinks in the bar around 1030pm, I think. My daughters were hungry and the kitchen was closed so I looked up information about finding take out on my phone but wasn't sure if there were other options I missed in my search. I walked over to the front desk - there were two men there. I said "Excuse me, could I ask a question?" to the younger one who was looking at his phone. When I asked him for help finding a place nearby for French fries, he told me that I should search my phone. I let him know that I had done this already, and because it was late and I'm unfamiliar with the area, I wanted to see if there were other recommendations. He told me to use google to look it up myself and he would not find anything more than what google would tell me. I explained that I had done that already. He then said go to Burger King or McDonalds. I said that wasn't a favorite choice and asked if he knew of other restaurants and he said no. I asked if he could look online to help and he did then and laughed and said it's only Burger King or McDonalds. He was short and dismissive and quite honestly rude. I had to beg for help and it was limited. Please feel free to check your CCTV camera footage to confirm this interactions highlighted that. I think I could overlook a few things about our stay but this interactions with the front desk highlighted the low value we received for this hotel - it was disappointing and uncomfortable. A few additional things: the phone in our room did not have a cord so we couldn't call the front desk, there were no lights in the main room (no overhead or plug in) so dark in the room after sunset at 430pm, room service woke us up the morning of 12/22 coming early to clean, the 2nd floor area seemed under construction in our hallway and entry with several extra doors unattached and balancing against frames, and dirty laundry and cleaning supplies out in the open visible 24/7. Just too many negatives to mention for a hotel advertising high quality. I could add more, these are a few examples.' Tried resolving this during our stay and afterward to no avail. Rome is gorgeous and so many other hotels to stay. This does not meet the boutique label or price point. See pictures attached.

Overall: 3.5/5 A decent Option Pretty Central to the most important sights, however I would use this hotel for a short/ Transitional stay. Would I stay again, Maybe, definitely not an immediate yes, but also not an immediate No. Worth Considering if you eat out, and aren't staying long. Food: Breakfast: Dinner: Cleanliness (Food Area): Good options but I cannot get passed the fruitfly problem as a Restaurant Operator. But the selection was great, and prices were good. DO EAT THE ICE FRON THE 6Th floor MACHINE, No scoop, everyone probably uses their hands. Stay: 3/5 Room: 2/5 Elevator:1/5 Staff: 5/5 Cleanliness ( Rooms): 5/5 Wifi: 1/5 Really great Room service, I would prefer them coming at the same time daily so we could plan when the be out of the room. Some days 9:00 AM, Some 12:00 PM. They wiped down almost everything, the "maid" cleaned out room for about 30 minutes, and it was lightly stayed in. Very detailed. Room was too small for us, and I confirmed it is every room. If you have children good luck sharing one room. Elevator is a phobic person's nightmare. Shakey floors only enough room for two people and luggage. Staff all around very nice; no issues. Pretty decent Gym, better than most hotels. ( Pro Tip, water is 4€, They have 4 bottles in the cooler in the Gym at all times. Do with that what you wish) Wifi Turns off at like 10:00 PM???? Location: 4/5 As said above, 10 - 15 minute walk from everything.

The Rome Times Hotel is centrally located and has a good modern feel with polite and helpful staff. The room was a good size with king king-size bed, in room fridge, and a good-sized bathroom. The water pressure was incredible and the water was nice and hot! The rain shower head was fantastic. The room had air conditioning which was needed. Our room was on the second floor and was very quiet. We made the choice to purchase breakfast two mornings and it was very nice. A buffet with fresh fruits, eggs, meats, cheeses and delicious pastries. One evening we grabbed a bottle of wine and a pizza from across the street and brought it to the upper balcony on the sixth floor. A very nice view, was quiet, and we had the entire area all to ourselves! We were able to walk most of the central district area. The room could use attention to the base boards - they needed some paint and scuff marks on the floors - this did not stop us from enjoying our time.

Restaurant is amazing. We asked the people at the bar to make two drinks they had never even heard of before, and they made them perfectly! The drinks were: 1. Kiddie Cocktail Strawberry 2. Kiddie Cocktail Strawberry-Mango Spearmint

We stayed 3 nights at the Rome Times Hotel in June. Its on a not too busy street and is very modern and clean. Located conveniently to most sites, walking distance to everything except the Vatican. The Republica metro stop is also just a 10 minute walk. They'll check your bags if you arrive before check in and they have a spacious lobby bathroom to change and freshen up, which was very convenient. The restaurant/bar area downstairs is very well done. We got complementary breakfast with our stay and they did a great job. Lots of fresh fruit, yogurt bar, assorted pastries, hot foods and cereals. Cappuccino and espresso were made to order. The wait staff was very friendly. The rooms were a nice size and nicely furnished. The air conditioning worked very well (it was pretty hot out while we were in Rome). Free Wifi. Another great offering is that your first mini-bar use is free! All around a great experience, the staff were always professional and helpful in all our interactions.

Rome Times Hotel is one of the best hotels I've ever been to. Here you can experience how the Roman life of Augustus or Trajanus must have been, but then in modern times. The hotel is with no doubt the most renovated hotel in the city of Rome. The interior is very luxurios but very warm. It has a very nice atmosphere and all people of the staff are such loving people. In particular the lobby boys. The rooms are very luxurios too, with very(!) comfortable king size beds and rain showers. It was very clean and they make up your bed very neat every day. There is a fine mini bar and the first night the water is for free! The breakfast is the best breakfast we had during our two week vacation in Italy. It had everything: normal bread, sweet bread, fruit, eggs, sausages. vegetables, yoghurt and any kind of drinks. You definitely have to try the cappuccino in this hotel. We drank this every morning and when we visit the best coffee bar in the city we discovered that they tasted the same. This means that you can drink the best cappucchino here every morning! I've had the best time thanks to this hotel and if that's even't enough. We received a jar of cookies when we checked out. Just so sweet! Many thanks!

That made the location extremely convenient. The hotel sits a short walk from Basilica of Santa Maria Maggiore, where Pope Francis is buried. Some areas near the main train station are often described as unsafe by Italian standards. We did not experience that near the hotel. Tourists and locals were out late, and the neighborhood stayed active into the evening. Rome is compact and easy to navigate. Most major attractions felt reachable within about 20 minutes by taxi, bus, or rail. We tried to visit the Trevi Fountain at 10:00 pm to avoid crowds. That plan failed completely(see pic). It was packed. Locals eat later than in the U.S., and many parts of the city stay busy well into the night. Restaurants remain open late. A note for U.S. travelers. European hotel rooms run smaller for the price. Even using Hilton points, our room would have cost close to $700 per night USD and felt small. The hotel offers a pleasant rooftop bar and a spacious lobby with multiple seating areas. The buffet breakfast was a solid, comfortable way to start the day. It was included for us as Hilton Diamond members. I am unsure of the cash price. Overall, the location and amenities make this a smart pre-cruise choice, especially for travelers relying on rail connections.

However, it is quietly nestled in a beautiful little neighborhood. It is very quiet and quaint. Upon arrival we were greeted with the welcoming staff and escorted into the ruins beyond the lobby where we were brought a lovely tiramisu welcome treat to enjoy while taking in the ruins. The room is impressively large with a huge bathroom. We had a plush king sized bed with cozy down bedding. The thick beautiful curtains ensured that the room was perfectly dark for great sleep even if we wanted a mid day nap. There was a lovely little balcony with a view of the courtyard. With the curtains open the natural light is perfect. The bed was comfortable and we Sisto very nicely here. The bathroom is very big with a walk in shower and bidet with all toiletries needed to have a comfortable stay. I will say I was a bit bummed that the tile warmer was not functional but the hotel was very kind offering anything to make sure that we were happy. This was not a problem and we stayed in this room as warming towels us a perk but not a requirement. I would also note that the building is quite old and the bathroom had a metallic smell perhaps from the pipes of older plumbing but it was fine as long as we kept the bathroom door closed. I think the hotel was really concerned that we were upset but we absolutely were not just keep in mind this building is antique and if you are coming from the US where everything is new and not used to a potential aroma of antiquity be prepared to experience a true European city and do not complain. All details are thought of here including mini bar, clothes steamer, hair dryer, toiletries and a welcome gift. The staff is so friendly and welcoming. They are always ensuring that we were comfortable and happy. We absolutely loved our stay here. The hotel is a special place and experience. The nostalgia of standing and staying where the Romans once stood 2000 years ago was definitely a treat! The hotel has a rooftop terrace where we enjoyed breakfast in the mornings and wine in the evening. The lounge just inside of the terrace is cozy and comfortable to enjoy a glass of wine or cocktail in the evening and there's a cozy fireplace to warm up, which we took full advantage of after a long wet rainy day in the colosseum and Roman forum.
