There are even times when I will run out of milk or eggs mid-week, and find myself stopping here for those items rather than shopping closer to home. In the several years my family has been shopping here, I have only had one incident where I was charged x2 for an expensive cut of Parmiggiano reggiano cheese but it was corrected during my next visit. The Wegman's brand organic items like the milk, eggs, and dairy creamer leave nothing to be desired. Not to mention their bakery! An absolute gem. Who needs a Whole Foods, anyways? Certainly not I. The person fulfilling the order sent me updates or clarifying questions about substitutions when applicable. Items that they did not have were refunded and delivery was fast. In part I wanted to stop just to check it out but when I learned that Pennsylvania is the snack food capital of the country, that sealed the deal. They have an extensive bakery with lots of stuff, including some that I don't tend to see at a grocery store bakery, like the macarons that I picked up here. They also sell fudge, another unlikely grocery find. It's a grocery store, so of course they have what you're expecting to find, but their chip aisle did seem extensive. Or maybe that it's just that I've never seen flavors like honey jalapeño and others before. The staff was friendly and efficient. Shopping was pleasant. But unless you need an obscure product or are looking for a third-tier brand, you can likely find what you need here, and the customer service is very good. You can easily find an employee who will help you find what you need. They train their cashiers to do that thing where they stand in front of their lane when they don't have customers so that they can welcome people in, and once they're ringing people up, the cashiers are polite, personable and professional, and eager to help when appropriate. If you have several supermarkets nearby, there's probably no reason to go out of your way to go here, and if you need a particularly wide selection, I wouldn't count on finding what you want here, but if you're nearby and looking to buy standard groceries, I think you'll have a good experience at this Weis.

She finally came out and sliced a half a pound which rang up at a little over $11.00 a pound. By this time my husband lost patience. If she would have taken the time to understand what we wanted instead of assuming what was in her own head the process could have been completed on a good note.
