I just wouldn't waste your time or money here, honestly. I've been going here for a while for piercings, and every experience is the same. You're met with rude, adolescent acting employees. Who go out of their way to make you feel like you're wasting their time, &everything is grounds for an argument with them. They will see business walk in the door and immediately huff&puff at your existence. Or, in my case, they will openly talk badly about you to other employees, in front of you. But then act nice as pie once your back in the room. Gross. The piercer rolled her eyes and complained about my service that took her less than 2 minutes to do. She was upset she had to get off the couch and off her phone. I've liked this place for a while. But never have I been in a empty tattoo studio, (from their own doing) where the employees are so self righteous without cause. It's comical. Overall the experience wasn't great. I called about a piercing and asked if I needed an appointment, the women who answered seemed really irritated and told me no it was walk in only. When I was there for my piercing it seemed very rushed like they wanted to get me out, even though there was no one else in the studio. The piercing itself was pretty painless. Not much care or cleanup was done after the piercing though, by the time I got out to my car I could feel blood dripping down my ear. I should have done my research before going to this studio, I will not be returning. read more

I came here on my 18th birthday to get my second and third lobe piercings. I was a little nervous as I have never been pierced with a free hand needle (I've gotten two other piercings, both of which were guns). I had called a week prior and asked about pricing, the girl I talked to was very friendly and down to earth. She gave me the necessary information, and she spoke to me as if she was an old friend, while still maintaining a professional attitude. When I arrived I was greeted with a friendly welcome and smiles. I was surprised to see how clean and relaxing the atmosphere was. I told them I was there to get my ears pierced and they asked for my ID, promptly wished me a happy birthday, and handed me the consent forms. As I filled them out, the girl told me she would go back to prep the room. I browsed the tattoo designs as I waited and she came out to get me and my boyfriend. We went back to the piercing room, which resembled a doctors office, but frankly was WAYYY cleaner. All her tools were kept on a medical tray. She marked my ears with a toothpick and loose ink (seemed much more sanitary than a permanent marker). Then she took out the needles, wrapped individually with the each earring. I was soooo nervous but she was very nice, calming, and conversational. She put the needle to my ear, had me take a seal breath, and next thing I know she was done! It was amazing. Barely any pain at all, just a slight poke. I was shocked! I haven't had any issues since!! They are barely sore, I haven't had much gunk around the piercings like I've had in the past. All around the expert has been GREAT!! I will definitely be back to Marvel!!! read more

My friend and I recently went there for piercings (my nose, her tragus) and I couldn't have asked for a better experience. There was a group ahead of us yet we waited no more than 5 minutes. The woman who did the piercings was great. She was efficient and very nice, definitely knew how to make it all a very easy experience. On top of all that it was only $35 for each of us which is relatively cheap (especially considering the great service). I'll definitely be going back again for my next tattoo or piercing. read more

Had an awesome experience as a first timer in the shop. Stephen sketched my tattoo just the way I wanted it, I should add I had to have him scale it down a bit for cost,,,,and he did so without a bit of hesitation or attitude. The place is very clean and the people that work there seem super chill but professional. My Husband came in 2 days later and had Whitey do his very first tattoo, and he was so pleased at the quality of artwork he received. His Batman Shoulder tat was amazing. We wanted to get my daughter's ears pierced for her 10th birthday. We had heard that Marvel was the place to go. My husband actually had a tattoo done there previously and was very satisfied with his experience. So we knew where to go for the ear piercing. I had called on a Friday afternoon after viewing the website which said that appointments were necessary. When I spoke with the woman on the phone and said I wanted to schedule an appointment for my daughter's ear piercing, she told me it was available by walk-in. She went so far as to tell me a piercer would be available until 5pm on the following Monday. No appointment necessary. She mentioned the website hasn't been updated. The following Monday I walked in with my daughter for said piercing. The person working saw that my daughter was a minor and quickly told me that piercings for minors required an appointment. I explained that I had called the previous Friday and was told no appointment was necessary. She quickly cut me off and said "did you tell us how old your daughter was?" To which I replied "no one asked me" and she rudely said "well we would have no way of knowing how old your daughter is." I have no problem with their policy. However, the person I was dealing with spoke quite rudely as if I should've known all of their policies to ask questions. Let me remind you I did call to make an appointment. When the person told me no appointment was necessary, she could've added the follow up "unless your daughter is a minor?" We could've avoided this situation. I have heard it is a great place for piercings but I feel like I was spoken to with attitude when I wasn't even complaining. I was just disappointed for what should've been a fun experience for my daughter. read more

We understand policies and rules, and there was a clear misunderstanding about ear piercing, however the way the employees treated myself, my friend and our daughters was unacceptable. My friends and i had arranged with another tattoo company to get matching tattoos done. We had worked with an artist weeks ahead of time and told her days we would all be in town. The day if we call and she said she was booked for a sleeve for someone else. We frantically had to find somewhere else and no longer had a sketch as she had been working on it on her own. We called marvel and they were able to fit all three of us in, including taking time to draw us the perfect sketch. I came in without an appointment for a septum piercing which would be my very first piercing (apart from my ears). As soon as I walked in, I was greeted and after asking for a septum, I was presented with different color options. Within ten minutes of being seated, my pierced came out and lead me to a back room and explained the process as she prepared her tools. The piercing was quick and virtually painless after the initial prick and I was back outside paying within ten minutes. The process in all took about 20 minutes! I'm sooo happy with my experience. Came in with my 12 yr old son to get his ears pierced. Two SUPER nice girls each did one of his ears at the same time. It was soooo easy!!!!! I took my two children to get their noses pierced recently... okay, so it was actually my mom and my sister, but since they are both noobs, whilst I've had many a piercing come and go, and many a tattoo come and not go-- I felt very "wise Sensei" about the whole ordeal. ANYWAY, the whole experience at Marvel was excellent. The staff was polite and helpful, the place was clean and constantly sanitized, and the piercer Anna was amazing! I got my belly button pierced here in September and it was great. The piercer was very nice and walked me through the process before she did it. She was very clear when she would be piercing and how to clean my piercing. Since then it has healed very nicely. The biggest thing for me was how clean it was. Very clean instruments and facility. I had the most enjoyable tattooing experience with Stefan today. He is clean, professional, detailed oriented, and very personable. Although I am from New York, he was very flexible and was able to design something for me easily. Over a course of 3 hours Stefan tattooed 2 fairly large water color designs that turned out fantastically at a very reasonable price. In addition to the water color tattoo flowers, he fixed 2 tattoos, from a different shop, that had been done incorrectly. He is the first tattoo artist I have had that is truly humble and excited about the profession at the same time.  Next time I want a tattoo I will travel from New York just to get work from him. read more

Anna just pierced my earlobes and she stayed late on a Saturday to do it, which was very thoughtful. She was fast but not sloppy and really knew what she was doing--plus, it was cheaper than I had been quoted elsewhere. She even offered to help me stretch my earlobes when I told her that's what I was piercing for, and pierced at a larger gauge so I have less stretching to do. Thanks! read more
