And I had to go to another doctor for an incredibly painful procedure, all for nothing. I did not have HPV. 4. In my opinion Kurtz now has a God complex, he didn't used to. ***5. THEY REFUSED TO TREAT ME, AFTER I LEFT MY URINE SAMPLE....UNLESS I PAID WHAT FEELS LIKE A $50 EXTORTION FEE, in order to give me my prescription. When the doctor says they don't hold back care because of an unpaid balance, that is entirely incorrect, and I believe he's lying. His behavior is reprehensible, and he is fully aware of this. Instead of addressing my worries, Dr.Gutierrez was dismissive and worried about her staff being overwhelmed with the request. She stated due to lack of staff, she would require me to pull the heavy grunt work with calling insurance, providing details, of what it will require to be approved. Despite me already doing that and informing Dr.Gutierrez that insurance states they need a prior-authorization request; she would not take the step forward with me to send in a pre-authorized referral due to the amount of time irk it will be for her staff. When I pointed out my dissatisfaction with the service, Dr.Gutierrez bluntly told me, "If you don't like our service, you can go somewhere else." I was shocked by this unprofessional behavior. A healthcare provider should prioritize patient care and empathy, not push patients away. I will definitely take Dr.Gutierre's advice and find another doctor who actually cares about their patients.
