I was extorted by the front office, that he would not see me unless I paid a missed appointment, which I did not schedule. 2. The office refused to treat me, for a raging bladder infection that they tested me for, even though I'm a regular annual patient. I refused to pay the $50 to come BACK to the office the same day, for the RX. 3. His physicians assistant incorrectly diagnosed me as having HPV. And I had to go to another doctor for an incredibly painful procedure, all for nothing. I did not have HPV. 4. In my opinion Kurtz now has a God complex, he didn't used to. ***5. THEY REFUSED TO TREAT ME, AFTER I LEFT MY URINE SAMPLE....UNLESS I PAID WHAT FEELS LIKE A $50 EXTORTION FEE, in order to give me my prescription. When the doctor says they don't hold back care because of an unpaid balance, that is entirely incorrect, and I believe he's lying. His behavior is reprehensible, and he is fully aware of this. Don't say you weren't warned. ....*add the fact that he stands by his uneducated and extremely unprofessional staff, says even more. Do better Dr Kurtz. We ended up going to Dr Annette Bernhut in Orange and she is AWESOME. She cares about you as a person, vs you being the enemy

Now I get 15 minutes plus waiting each time and incoherent assistants. Last time I left a message for the doctor, I had to repeat a simple question 3 times because they didn't understand it the first two times. Of course never heard back from them. Michelle and Dr. Le (pronounced Lay for those of us that need the reminder) are top notch people and very well versed in how to communicate with patients. First, I would like to acknowledge how easy it was to contact them, leave a message, and I heard back from them ASAP. I actually was able to get into see Dr. Le the same day; :) I'm so grateful, too. Furthermore, the care that was shown to me was extraordinary. I don't think I've had the same experience with anyone else. I really liked how they charted my history and Dr. Le used a white board, which is so brilliant because I could visually see all of my options (versus remembering them). Together, they are a class act and therein if you're looking for a new Doctor, I highly recommend you give them a try. She's very thorough and will go above and beyond to make sure your care are as needed. Her panel is closed and I've had to wait even one or two years in order to be accepted to her practice. She no longer has her own office and she is retiring in September 2023. She will be missed, but I felt like she should get the recognition she deserves.

Instead of addressing my worries, Dr.Gutierrez was dismissive and worried about her staff being overwhelmed with the request. She stated due to lack of staff, she would require me to pull the heavy grunt work with calling insurance, providing details, of what it will require to be approved. Despite me already doing that and informing Dr.Gutierrez that insurance states they need a prior-authorization request; she would not take the step forward with me to send in a pre-authorized referral due to the amount of time irk it will be for her staff. When I pointed out my dissatisfaction with the service, Dr.Gutierrez bluntly told me, "If you don't like our service, you can go somewhere else." I was shocked by this unprofessional behavior. A healthcare provider should prioritize patient care and empathy, not push patients away. I will definitely take Dr.Gutierre's advice and find another doctor who actually cares about their patients. I would not recommend Dr.Gutierrez or Memorial Care to anyone. Save yourself the trouble and look for a more compassionate and professional healthcare.

However, there was no such thing as a real doctor's recheck. We realized we made a mistake when we picked up our glasses. After we put on the glasses, we realized that our vision was still blurred, and we could barely see anything when the sun went down.
