Dr. Miller is terrific. Sometimes she can be busy between patients but she will apologize and say that waiting for her will not happen again, and it has not. She is thorough in examining and instead of her just looking at the computer, she is fully engaged with you as a patient. The computer is only used to review data and put data in, but all else is one on one with me. She is an old school doctor with current research knowledge on wellness tools and strategies. So, I have had my share of primary care physicians. Some were ok, and maybe 1 or possibly 2 were good, and a few awful ones, but Dr. Miller has to be one of the best doctors I have ever had. Dr. Miller is warm and caring, and treated me like a person and not just another "co payment" that she was rushing through. She was honest and I trusted her, and you can tell she genuinely cares about her patients. I had to go through a slew of rotten apples to finally get the right one! I'm very fortunate to have found Dr. Miller, and I feel that despite the many patients that she has, she will treat me like I am just as important as all of her other patients. Her bedside manner is exceptional and she even has late hours on some days that she sees patients, like up until 7pm and even some Saturdays. Like how many doctors have evening hours and Saturdays? Dr. Miller is an exceptional doctor who will be honest and upfront with you, but will also do so in the most caring and warm way. Everyone loves her, and after my first visit with her, it's apparent why. Also, as for the office staff, they are all wonderful and kind. From the ladies who check you in to the assistants who take your vitals and weight. They all love working with Dr. Miller and are very friendly and helpful as well. I left my former primary doctor, because all he wanted to do is prescribe medication. He didn't even examine me before writing out the prescription, and some of the medicines gave me terrible side affects. And one of the side affects of one of the drugs was DEATH. One day, after he prescribed a medication that interacted negatively with some that I was taking. I asked him, "Do you read the side affects of the medication before you make out a prescription?" He answered, "All medicine has side affects." That's when I did some research and went to Dr. Miller. I could not have made a better choice. I just changed over health insurance providers and saw Dr. Miller for the first time last week. I am and never have been "into doctors, hospitals, etc." because my health has been superior all my life. I am into more of the natural healing mentality. But I needed to choose a new primary care physician at this time so I picked the name "Mary Beth Miller". Boy, am I blessed that I followed my intuition on this one. Dr. Miller is by far the best type of person to be a doctor. She is nice, friendly, has an appropriate sense of humor and best of all...she listened to me. She is caring and understanding and "bedside manner" ... she's a 10. I was told I needed surgery by previous doctors. When I told Dr. Miller my symptoms, she suggested that we look at another thing that could be causing the problem before considering surgery. Amazing! A doctor that doesn't suggest jumping in and cutting! I really like this doctor and hope she retires after I never need a doctor again. read more

Dr. Miller is new to the Torrance area, and in my opinion, a fantastic addition to the team at Torrance Memorial Physician Network. She is already very busy but I did not feel rushed, she is thorough, easy to talk to and answered all my questions. I am very picky, but after one visit, I already feel comfortable having her take over as my PCP. Side-note: I've been a patient at TMPN for about a year and half and am so impressed with the way they run things! They really try to accommodate their patients and if your regular doctor is unavailable, they will do their best to get you in with another provider in the group, rather than referring you to urgent care and a much higher copay! Dr. Miller practices medicine the old fashion way. She shows sincere caring, patience and compassion for her patients. I was seen at my appointment time, not a 30 minute wait. She explained everything about my visit and spent a lot of time getting to know me. This was my first visit with her after switching from another office. Dr. Miller was a once researcher, but does not work with optimal lab ranges. The walls of her patient rooms were thin and I could hear her with the patient before me which clearly violates HIPPA. On half my visits I waited more than 30/60 minutes in the room. Her front desk are professional, but not friendly and the back office staff are good. For more common ailments she's great, but if you have any difficult issues I would recommend looking elsewhere. When my tests did not come back as overtly low or high she gave up and eventually became a bit condescending. I told her I needed an endocrinologist referral on my first visit yet she would not give me the referral even though I had serious rashes, discomfort and asthma, allergies that required steroids and urgent care on multiple occasions. Turned out this was in FACT due to my hormones. It was a waste of time and money seeing her. read more

Dr. Miller is a true blessing. My father was being over medicated with his previous doctor and we had a lot of issues to work through. Dr. Miller took SO MUCH TIME with him to figure his meds out and took him off what he really didn't need to take (in her opinion). He is doing great and feels much better. She offers Saturday morning appointments which are very convenient. Each time we've seen Dr. Miller, she takes a long time to sit with us and explain everything in detail. She is a fantastic doctor.
