While babylon village has ample bars/pubs/restaurants to suit just about everyone's tastes, only 1 has a place that stays open late! Metered parking on Deer Park Ave in front- municipal lot behind. All the wood n such gives the inside a bit of a cabin/lodge feel. During warm weather months, an outdoor area and "back bar" to address the overflow. *was there for post Pride event- last summer and this place was jammed! Local bar feel and vibe, lots of locals and as stated, late night hours draw in a younger crowd so us "mature" folk who may not want to be surrounded by 20sumthins be advised. However, a great spot to catch your favorite sports teams on the tube, plenty of televisions to croon your neck at. Full bar and lots of taps. Decent pub fare as well. Priced accordingly and clean.

Great for late night bites. Typical bar food menu. The mozzarella sticks weren't as great as I hoped, the cheese just didn't seem to melt. The calamari was good. I wouldn't recommend coming here for just food but overall it is a great bar to have some drinks at.

After a long day of work, this is a great spot for friends to hang out, the drink selection is adequate, and the bartender is friendly.

Yeah, well, come hate us on Yelp is their motto and I know why people do but you go to scary Mary's when the nights winding down to give it a bit of a shock to the system, or you go for the wings or your bartenders or just for some good wholesome fun. I just like that you can poo inside of a giant Guinness glass when needed.

We came here for a late night to meet up with friends to grab some drinks for a friend's birthday. Mary Carroll's has that laid back bar feel where the locals hang out. Friends and family meet up to chill and grab a few beers. We stayed more towards the front of the bar where there is hightop tables across from the bar. The are three sections of beer on tap at the bar. So the selection has a good variety. Not sure what to get? The bartender can give you suggestions based on your usual drink of choice. They are friendly and happy to help. I haven't tried the food, so I can not say how it is. We came early in the night, but as the night got longer the crowd started to roll in. Overall it's a good place to grab a beer and catch up with friends.

Great local pub in the heart of Babylon. I've been coming here over 20 years and each time is a great experience.

Prost! Best Spot all year round for: catching a local band, watching sports on a giant screen…read more(tented), celebrating Oktoberfest, and more. This place is the things you'd want in an outdoor Beer garden - casual eats in the Brat Haus and beers on tap. Not to mention the in-house private event space that does have air conditioning. Perfect for parties of 20-700! Says it on the website and I wouldn't have believed it until I saw it myself. This review is for The Hive restaurant specifically since that's where I had my meal. A beautiful bar with a Stein wall with lockers for patrons who wish to store them - you see that just past the host station. The indoor dining room just beyond. We started with the Wurst Sampler Platter. Think bratwurst, knackwurst, krainerwurst, and jalapeno cheddar bratwurst. I had no idea there were so many varieties and it was paired with the best potato salad I've ever had. Authentic and delicious sauerkraut to match. Also ordered the House-Cured Slab bacon, paired with a blackberry gastrique. Excellent choices I must say. For dinner, we just had to try the Schnitzel. Admittingly, it was hard to decide (all were veal options and there was one chicken option)! I chose the Champignon Rahmschnitzel and hubby got the Jager Schnitzel. Both were topped with sauce and mushrooms - but entirely different. The Rahmschitzel was breaded veal and had a white creamy mushroom sauce. So delicious! And the Jager one was pan-seared veal with a demi-glace sauce. Outstanding as expected...I was literally drooling at every plate that passed me by. Topped my meal with some hard cider and I was golden. Stuffed and happy! Plattduetsche Park is so rich in history and they have established roots in the community going back 100+ years (established in 1901). What a fantastic place to be - come for the great cuisine and the culture. No special occasion needed. (Reservations suggested for The Hive restaurant - opens daily starting at 3PM). BTW, the Ompahfest (festival) is on Sept. 20th, 2026. Zum Wohl!

We were shoulder to shoulder to each other. I had to straddle a table leg because of the way the table was set up. I could not get my chair under the table. There was barely any room for our plates and glasses. Even though it was a Mother's Day event, there was not a kids' menu- which makes no sense bc you know kids will be at this event! Two of our dishes had to be sent back because they were cold. It's nice that they hire the local kids and the service was good. Overall, just a bad experience. I do not think we will come back for a special holiday again.

We went for happy hour, sampled their happy hour menu which is discounted regular menu. Let start: Chicken wings: decent, but is there something wrong with these chickens? Should I be concerned because these are the smallest damned wings ever. I'd ask if they came from a pigeon, but NY pigeons are pretty better fed than that. Next, nacho... edible, non-remarkable, plate a little small, had to ask for jalapeños for them, whatever. French fries, meh, coated fries, which is a no-no if you put stuff on them, which they do. Pizza...wtf!?!?!? We are in NY, miles from NYC and you have the stones to call this excrement pizza!?!? I would eat Altoona pizza over this crap. In short, beer good, food no.

Great beer selection, good crowds, family friendly, and a really nice European beer garden vibe. Also has a lot of events on weekends, and a ton of TVs and a large projector screen for major sporting events. Cons: Frequency of $10 cover charges on weekends has gone up a lot recently, particularly for ALL world cup games. They also struggle with very long beer lines during events, and food is a bit overpriced for what it is. Huge space, lots of TV's everywhere, great selection of beers and food. Lots of beer on tap from Germany that is rare to see at most bars. The Grilled Party Mix ($39) was quite filing for two people and went great with the beer. The drinks line eventually became too long to bother and was moving glacially slow, but luckily we had gotten a bucket of canned beers by then which lasted us the rest of the night. The place was packed to the rafters the whole night making it hard to watch the games. Sight lines vary wildly depending on where you're sitting. Luckily we got a good spot for the Colombia vs. Portugal game and with the thousands of Colombian fans the atmosphere was top tier. Overall a great night.

Love can be a funny thing…read more Before recently, I had never even heard of this place. However, what brought me here comes from a name I do recognize: Jillin It. These are matchmaker events hosted by Jill, and I know of some neat love stories that came from her events. I had actually been meaning to go to another Jillin It Event for some time, but for various it just never quite aligned. Example, I might have gone to Elicit Brewery over in Black Rock for the Valentine's Day event less than three months back, but I was in the height of recovering from H Pylori. Tonight though, I was feeling much better and I've trusted Jill's services enough for a while that I decided to go to this one. Yes, I am a hopeless single, but I'm a hopeless single that enjoys going to meet new people every now and then! We were given a ticket voucher for a drink at the bar as a part of our ticket prices. There were plenty of options that sounded good, but in the end I went with the Evil Genius Trick or Treat Chocolate Pumpkin Porter. It's a very IPA kind of drink, but the notes of chocolate were subtle yet easily identifiable. I do appreciate the bartenders here for being patient with me while I took my sweet time being the world's worst drink decider. I also grabbed up a Build A Pie as I needed food to eat right this very second when I got in. It's the first time in a while that I had tomato sauce in my pizza, but everything else I got as a topping are quite a bit like what I would choose for pizza toppings. In order as it appeared on my receipt, I had fresh mozzarella, shredded mozzarella, ricotta, bacon, basil, garlic, and hot honey. Honestly, for those toppings, the price was actually pretty good! After a $6.33 tip, I paid $28.34 for the pizza. It was a thin crust, wood-fired, and definitely a crispy lil boo thang! It's not the best pizza I've ever had, but that's because compared to other pizzas I've had this has very stiff competition. This was a W pizza right here! It hit the spot when I needed it and it's something I would order again. The ambiance however is really where one should put the most weight in when having anything from a place like this. It's a primarily outdoor place, so it was a good thing I came here on a nice evening in May! I can't imagine this being popular in the winter months or when it's raining. But it's perfect for large groups, and certainly an event like tonight's! It's great for social outings. I'm gonna go ahead and give this a 4 based on my first impressions of the place. It's definitely a good spot with good service. Long as you don't mind the kids running around and come on a good weather day, you're in for a treat! Before I go, let's bring the subject back to love for a bit. It's not easy. In fact, love can be a very hard game to play. But it works in mysterious ways. If your door is open, then let your heart be your guide.
