The All American Smash burger special
Steve R.

Came here planning to order their famous wings but they had a Sunday smash burger special $17 for the all American smash 2 patties with all the toppings. Came with fries . Smash patties where cooked perfectly will be back for sure. Service was super fast as well

Updating the review and giving it 5 stars instead of 4 because this has become our go to sports bar. From the service / the drinks all the way to the food and ambience everything here is absolutely perfect.

Great sports bar! Hadn't been there before but went by Yelp reviews. More tv screens than you could ever want! Food and service were great and a good value as well. Was really surprised the food was as good as it was , as wasn't expecting it in a sports bar. Parking in Front and in rear. Near Farmingdale university , off route 110. My sliders were perfect, just the right balance and crunch! Yum!

Unfortunately I forgot to take a picture of the a photo of the bomb ass sandwich I had. It tasted as delicious as it looks. The green tea shots were 3 for $10

Service was wonderful, beer selection was great, but they closed the bar at 10 on a Saturday night. So don't trust the Yelp hours.

A bit crowded but that means it's good, right? Good food choices and great staff! Great place to watch the game if you can get a good spot.

Our server Jacqueline was very sweet and attentive. We had ordered a cider flight. 3 out of 6 tasted like an IPA and we asked to swap it out. They were very accommodating and swapped it without question. Our guests' Bloody Marys were strong and spicy. We tried the short rib skillet, short rib sliders, American breakfast and breakfast burrito. The short ribs were soft and tender and the garlic Parmesan potatoes were AMAZING. (My mom actually went and spoke to the event manager to make sure we could have them at my shower.) The bacon was crispy and eggs cooked perfectly. Brunch prices were very reasonable considering the portions and quality. Overall, it was a great brunch experience and we can't wait to come back!

First off, I hold Tap Room to a very good standard as I have been to the Huntington and Bayshore locations and have had great experiences however I was not a fan of the Farmingdale location food wise. I went about three weeks ago and had a pretzel and a whiskey burger. The pretzel was delicious but the burger was tasteless. I thought that maybe its an off-day or something. I came back this past week and had the 20 for $20 wing special. My wings were dryer than the Sahara Desert. I chewed them and had to spit them out. I feel bad saying this but im still going to come back. The food is typically good, great deals on drinks, the staff are always friendly, but the food lately was not good. I will definitely be back for a third try.

I came here to watch the final of the NCAA Division I Football Bowl Subdivision Miami vs. Indiana with a couple of my cousins. The Ambiance of the bar is pretty good, a very cozy sports bar. For our appetizer, we started sharing the chicken buffalo wings, and fried cheese curds. The Fried Cheese Curds were crunchy outside and warm, gooey, and slightly chewy inside, a field of cheeses, very delicious a great option to share across a big party. The wings were crunchy, and well season, and delicious. I also order famous burger, The Ale House Cheddar Cheese, Bacon, Lettuce, Tomato, Onion Topped with Island Dressing, my burger was cooked medium and the cut was pretty good the bacon was crispy, and my meat was super delicious and juicy, For my drinks, I had the beer no alcoholic Athletic Run Wild IPA all night surprise it taste similar to an IPA. The bartender did a good job.

My friend later got a beer that was also flat, batting 0 for 3 here. I used to love the wings but my wings were literally cold. They couldn't even have been sitting under the warmer bc they were cold. She never came back to ask how anything was once the food dropped and I sat there with my wings getting colder. I actually had to ask for a box and the check bc the table was never touched. I was going to go today for the soccer game but my friend refused. Awful.

That's the kind of place you'll want to linger long after your plate is empty. We had French Onion Soup, and it was everything you want from a classic. Rich, deeply caramelized onion broth with incredible savory flavor, topped with a toasted baguette that soaked up just enough broth while still keeping a little bite. The bubbling layer of melted mozzarella and Swiss stretched with every spoonful. There was a flavor I couldn't place, but had me thinking herbaceous Italian seasonings, which isn't typically the flavor profile of French onion soup, gave it a unique flavor and made every bite more irresistible. The Asian Chicken Salad was anything but ordinary. Crisp romaine and crunchy red cabbage were tossed with tender grilled chicken, crunchy cashews, and fresh scallions. We got the sesame ginger vinaigrette on the side, which struck the perfect balance of nutty, tangy, and slightly sweet. Every forkful had a fresh crunch followed by a burst of bright, savory flavor that kept us coming back for another bite. The Chicken Taco Salad arrived in a crispy tortilla shell that was almost too pretty to break into, but we're glad we did. Juicy marinated chicken, creamy avocado, fresh pico de gallo, sweet corn and black bean salsa, chopped greens, and a generous blend of Mexican cheeses were all tied together with a smoky chipotle-lime vinaigrette. Cool sour cream mellowed the gentle heat, creating the perfect combination of creamy, smoky, zesty, and fresh in every bite.

My brother has always wanted to try this place, but we never had a chance to actually step foot inside the Library Cafe. As the name suggests, the restaurant sits at the site of the old town library, and the bar area has tall shelves and a rolling ladder to pay homage to the name. To maximize the restaurant week menu, three of us tried different appetizers. The ahi tuna taco was the best of the lot- crispy shell and nicely prepared tuna filling. The Thai calamari was a little too overcooked and the sweet sauce was cloying. I didn't get to try too much of the French onion soup because my dad almost inhaled it whole, but it was gooey and comforting. I had the honey-soy glazed salmon with broccolini. The salmon was a little dry, but the glaze and cashew went well with it. Maybe a touch of spice could have improved the dish. The broccolini was nicely textured and not too bitter. My mom's fish and chips were underwhelming, though the not-proper "chips" were well fried and seasoned. It was not served with vinegar either. My brother had the Buddha bowl which he enjoyed and felt was a good health conscious option. I did love that they allowed my dad -- who was not feeling too well-- to order just an entree while the rest of the table had the restaurant week menu. I know some restaurants require all members of the table to order off the prix fixe menu sometimes. He had the burger, which was cooked very precisely to medium-rare. We did have dessert though we were stuffed at this point. The sticky toffee pudding cake was lovely, moist, and so decadent without being overly heavy. I ordered the wild berry cheesecake, and while the clearly house made berry compote was a nice touch, it was just a little underwhelming next to the sticky toffee pudding. Overall, we had a good time at the Library Cafe, and though service was a little slow due to sudden rush of diners, it was a fun little weekday dinner. I did see signs for their happy hour, which I'd love to try-- especially their cocktails named after writers!
