She recommended me the best products without being overly pushy. My skin has been improving since going to Dr. Rohan.

The front office staff, Marci and Tiffany, were welcoming and transparent about pricing through my insurance. Emily, Lena, and Davina (Medical Staff) provided exceptional support, explaining everything in detail and easing my worries. I'm only 37 and I never thought I would have skin cancer, but they calmed me down. Dr. Hou and her team performed MOHS surgery right in the office just 10 days after my first visit, taking the minimum amount of skin as possible to successfully remove the cancer. They also took care of all the necessary forms and even provided letters to my employer, making the process seamless. When it comes to scary skin stuff, this is the only place I trust! I just can't see how someone can leave a bad review! I received a ton of skin care and sun care swag, and by my second appointment the whole team knew me by name and came in to check on me. BTW they call and confirm your appointment date and time at least twice leading up to any appointment so I don't see how anyone could miss/forget their appointment. Little divot in the ole ear but super blessed to have found these people! THANK YOU DR. HOU AND TEAM!

I came in for my first consult Saturday 2/20/16, and was seen by Lauren the P.A.. She did a fantastic job evaluating my concerns and listening to my medical history. She did a little in-office treatment to address some of my pending concerns before giving a me thorough treatment plan to be implemented over the next few months. No hidden fees or surprises along the way. I was also pleased that Lauren explained everything with great detail. Thanks Lauren. You did such a great job!!! Additionally - The front desk women were very hospitable. (Pat and Marie)

Lauren balbas was my usual P.A that I saw regularly and she's okay . Sorta cares , sorta doesn't . First time I asked her what I should do about the keloid on my jawline .She said I should just do steroid shots in my keloid making it shrink in size instead of cutting it off via surgery .There's a high chance of the keloid just coming back twice the size she told me if I cut it off . I agree and don't do the surgery . Silly me . I come back a year later and ask her the same thing . She says I should just do the shots . I agree to do the excision of the keloid because there's still a chance it could go away , right ? and she has to ask Edward Kramer to get approval . Edward Kramer walks into the room . Keep in mind he has two students doing a shadow day with him today . One guy and one woman who's name was Julie Kramer , who I believe is related to him . He takes a look at my keloid and pretty much agrees to do the surgery . He doesn't try to convince me to just do the steroids shots which is the best thing to do I have learned only afterwards . Seems like his judgment this day cost me a lifetime of insecurity and ugliness . Either he has no idea what he's doing or he wanted his shadow day students to just "see" something happen this day so they can get some real life experience . Oh boy was that a bad decision . I feel like him being the head dermatologist of this practice that he should have convinced me more not to do the surgery that day . He has way more knowledge than me about the pros/cons of the surgery . Below are some pictures of before , during, and after the surgery . What's even more wild is I came back here after the surgery to just do steroid shots on something they started !!! The steroid shots made the keloid smaller. This time Edward Kramer was in charge of seeing me when I would come back monthly for these steroid shots . He made my keloid on my jawline way more deeper than it should with the steroid shots . Now if you look at my jawline on both sides of my face , you can tell one side is deeper than the other . Ridiculous ! This man has no idea how to treat patients . It's funny he was super nice to me everytime I came for the keloid shots like he knew he might have caused all of this . Don't bother seeing Edward Kramer . He's a terrible dermatologist .

I first…read morecame in with active acne, dark marks, and scarring, and from the beginning I felt genuinely cared for. Every provider here is wonderful I don't recommend one specific doctor because they are all amazing. My treatment plan was very thorough and thoughtful. We started with oral medications, skincare routines, and facials, and my doctor took the time to try different oral options to see what worked best for my skin instead of rushing the process. Once my acne was under control, I moved on to laser treatments to help with scarring and pigmentation, and the improvement has been life changing. This place truly feels like a second home. Every single provider I've seen has been kind, patient, and knowledgeable, and you can tell they genuinely want the best results for their patients. I also want to give a special shoutout to Marisol at the front desk, she is honestly the reason I love coming in. She is so patient, welcoming, and kind, and she always makes my day better the moment I walk in. Little things like that matter so much. They even have snacks and drinks, which just adds to how comfortable and welcoming the environment feels. I've attached my before and after photos because the results speak for themselves. I'm so grateful for this office and everyone who works here.

The front desk experience was extremely disappointing…read more My first visit to this clinic was actually very positive. My insurance declined the payment at the time, and Dr. James kindly gave me a discount to help me out. That left such a good impression on me that I continued coming back afterward. Even when I previously had an allergic reaction to medication prescribed here, I chose not to complain because I trusted this clinic. So when my lips suddenly became swollen this time, this clinic was still the first place I came to. Unfortunately, this experience felt completely different. The front desk staff simply kept repeating that I had to pay $150 and made no effort to communicate my situation to Dr. James. Ironically, when I explained my insurance situation to the doctor directly, he did try to check for me. After my surgery, I still had questions about the procedure itself and wanted to briefly speak with the doctor again, but the front desk just told me there would be post-care later. I understand doctors are busy, and I was completely willing to wait. I had just undergone a small surgery, asking to briefly speak with my doctor should not feel like asking for a special privilege. Her tone makes me feel like I need her approval and she is the security to guard the doctor. All of these was not an issue when I was in the DTLA location, the doctor always follow-up a little bit when I check out and both the cashier and front desk are friendly. Costa Mesa and DTLA locations gave me completely different experiences. After being a customer for years, what disappointed me most was that the attitude only became nicer after I expressed how upset I was. Why I should even have to argue with her when my lip is still numb? If the front desk staff's role is mainly financial and they do not have basic people skills, then they should not be in a front desk position at a medical clinic. A professional front desk staff member should at least show some level of care and empathy toward patients, especially patients who just underwent a small surgery and are already stressed or uncomfortable.
