Really unhappy after my visit. When I went in, I had on gel polish; to remove this, the nail tech used an electric spinning nail drill instead of soaking them in acetone. It destroyed my nail bed so the new polish didn't go on smoothly and it was really painful. The new polish didn't last, the photo was taken a few days after the service. Additionally, when I got my eyebrows waxed, the woman didn't clean the area before and just put the wax on, which is really unsanitary and doesn't allow a clean cut. I will not return. read more

Mary and her crew are the best around!! Every time I come in, whether it's been five days or five months, Mary comes up and hugs me! I wish I could say that I'm someone special or a daily regular, but the truth is that Mary greets EVERYONE like they're a long lost family member! It always makes me feel welcomed and important as a client. Always friendly and happy to see her clients, Mary makes any experience at her nail salon a warm and relaxing one. I've gotten manicures, full sets, pedicures, and my eyebrows waxed there, and everything is always reasonably priced. $7 is a hard price to beat for eyebrow waxing, by the way! Once again, it's not just Mary that makes the experience. Her husband Peter is always friendly and funny, and I could talk to Annie all day. They're also all great at what they do, and I've yet to be disappointed by any of their work. I have never in my years of going to Mary's been disappointed. They are so friendly and good at what they do. Gel manicures last at least a week and a half (and honestly it's usually me that starts chipping them.) Very clean place. I needed to get a manicure before a wedding and had very little time to do so. I went in about 45 minutes before they were closing to try to get a gel manicure. They took me to a table right away and got to work. I forgot to mention to the lady that I like my nails short and round, and she didn't ask, so I just went with it. They have a pretty good selection of polishes, numbers-wise, and I picked a pale pink. The lady convinced me to do 3 shades, which actually made it a dusty rose color. It was very pretty and I got a lot of compliments on it (I think it was number 25 on their nail boards.) However, the actual manicure was pretty rushed and messy. She didn't even push my cuticles down (or at least it looked like she didn't), and that made the gel polish look really ragged and sloppy when it grew out even a little bit. The polish started chipping a couple days after, and one of my nails split soon after, but that may or may not have had anything to do with what she did. It was $25 plus tip, which seems to be the going rate in the area. I would go back in a pinch, but I'm still looking for a reliable place that does a nice job and offers more atmosphere. read more

I had been going here for years. The staff is very friendly and the pedicures and brow waxing very affordable and good. However, in the past several months a few things happened that caused me to change salons. First, the owners were on vacation and left the place short-staffed. They usually close for their annual vaca. I went in and was seated for a pedicure but it took a very long time for someone to get to me. The person who finally did was very nice but unfortunately it was after I said I would need to leave because I didn't have much time. If they had just warned me that it would be an extended wait I could have made a decision to leave and come back later. Then I took my daughter and 2 little girls in for a pedicure. They seemed almost annoyed at having to wait on the girls and it was far from a fun experience for them or us. I haven't been back since and won't go back. It's a shame because it's a small salon, everyone works very hard. However, the customer has to be #1. You can't do things like this and expect people to be loyal. read more
