There are two different bar areas, one less formal than the other although the food served seem to be the same in both. The average age seemed to be 40s and above though although being younger than that I did not feel uncomfortable. There is a decent selection of food, which I enjoyed, although my partner was a bit disappointed with his salad, which was tiny! Good thing we ordered a side of chips and that my tuna sandwich was huge enough to share. A good place for a quiet drink but nothing really outstanding about this pub, at least not the first time.

They have ran some events with the rock matrix who are the main rock event promoters around the area and do a lot for the community. The pub itself has an almost circular bar in the middle, with a pool room with a couple of bar pool tables at the back. A good selection of fruit machines and quiz machines and friendly staff. This is one of my favourite pubs in Dartford, other nights they have include a Wii night with prizes, end of the month raffle, theme nights like beach, docs and nurses etc. Definitely recommended, check out the rock nights!

It can get very crowded on these nights so be warned! Also, you'll very often have to pay for admission on special nights too. A little bit scruffy on the inside but a reasonable pub, the bar staff seem friendly enough and the drinks are reasonably priced. They do have a good selection of beers. I've got to give it 4 stars simply for that fact that it promotes live music.

In all honestly we didn't spend a whole lot of time in here, more just to lay our heads for the night before seeing some friends local to here, then galavanting around London and seeing Lizzie! Rooms are basic as you expect, they have a tv and your usual 'kitchen' products - a kettle and 2 mugs, and then some tea & coffee. Bedding was clean which is a big deal as some places are lazy on this. Unless you're staying in your room or the hotel for a prolonged period, Travelodge standard does the job quite comfortably in my eyes!

However I stayed here because the hotel pricing over at the exhibition center Ex Cel was very very high. Easily 120 pounds more then staying here. A 27 pound Uber ride meant staying here was more than a bargain. The food was good the bartenders great and pricing much lower than at the show center. My room was large with a real king bed. The staff here is great and they were always ready will and able to help. If I am ever back in the area or doing another show at Excel I will be here!

Staff: 5 stars! I'm knocking down my review, because the…read morehotel is a little dated. Definitely could use some more decor to bring it into the current decade. Felt like I went back in time. Front desk staff was very kind, welcoming and helpful. Housekeeping was quick when we needed a crib and even did turndown service and put Dolly up for bed (see photo). Bedroom was large but bathroom shower really needed repair and had cracks (no photos as our alarm didn't go off and we rushed out). Had drinks at the bar which was nice. You can walk to town easily and enjoy shopping and food.
