    Christmas in full season

The Four Seasons never disappoints in any city or country! Everyone is welcoming, helpful, and 100% accommodating. Come for breakfast! It's a lovely pace outside of the hustle bustle.

Margarita and Rhita at the front desk were so helpful and kind. So very welcoming after a long journey. The restaurant had just finished renovations three days before we arrived, and it is absolutely stunning. The design and interiors are in your face gorgeous; yet calming and serene. Superior attention to detail was made. The meals we had were out of this galaxy! The fruit alone was so intricate, I was hesitant and slightly saddened I was going to eat a work of art such as this. Alas, I did. It was likely the best of my life. Except for the next day, which was also the best, but with kiwi instead of a mango base. And Croissant Avocado Toast? Say less. Iconic. As always, Four Seasons standard is perfection. Every detail, and amenity you think of or don't think of... is present and accounted for. Shall definitely return.

When I arrived at the the hotel the Porter was very nice, the food and drink was exquisite. A unique cocktail with a meringue at the top. The mood is set as sensual red setting with dim lighting.

Arriving in London a few days ago, I was already excited for a number of things the dreary city has to offer: (lots of) lager, beer-battered goodness all around, front row seats to an Arsenal match, meeting the editor of Tech Crunch Europe, and the brand spanking new renovations that had been completed on my perennial hotel of choice, the Four Seasons Park Lane. This has always been where I stay when in the Mayfair/Kensington area, so when it shut down (for TWO WHOLE YEARS) to undergo a serious facelift, I was rather dismayed. They claimed it was so they could add a spa, but in my opinion, if you go to London to patronize a spa, you've got your cities confused. Regardless, for the intervening period I have been forced to stay at another establishment down the road, The Connaught, which was also lovely, charming, and personal butler-inclusive (so no real complaints there). But, as of a few months ago, the Four Seasons has reopened its doors, and I cannot say it has disappointed. The first major difference one notices upon entering the lobby is the somewhat oriental-chic decor theme that has replaced the stuffy, classic British tones that used to define the space. Ornate black and gold vases accent some startlingly red panelling and leatherwork splashed on the walls, and the grand staircase is redone in a similar fashion. When I say red, I mean RED (think the color of the stars on this review). While I do admittedly miss the traditional/stuffy nature of the previous incarnation, I can certainly appreciate a new twist, and the decorators have clearly made a solid effort to keep vestiges of the original spirit mixed in with the chic, new surroundings (see: oil paintings of horses everywhere). The hallways and rooms are redecorated in a similar fashion, and the patio outside of my room overlooks a posh social club across the street where I can see old men in their tuxedos and women in their mink stoles enter and emerge from their chauffeured Rolls Royces (whatever you may think of this, it inarguably emphasizes the setting as well as one could hope). The truly new aspect, as mentioned earlier, is the penthouse spa, which exceeded all of my wildest expectations. Beautiful robes with silk trim, wrap-around windows and relaxing bars, this is all I could hope for after a workout (I still believe I am too young a man to receive massages from someone with whom I am not copulating). Suffice to say, the temporary shutdown certainly allowed the designers to reach their aesthetic goal with this space, and this is no more apparent than with the spa's rooftop balcony, which boasts the most incredible view of Hyde Park and the Marble Arch to which I have ever been witness. Obviously the area, food, and drink are spectacular, and probably don't require further elaboration (except to mention that the food is a sharp divergence from what one typically imagines "British fare" to be). Let's just say, if you're ever in London, this is the place to call your temporary abode.

Great location near St James park and most sites in London. Excellent service with comfortable accommodations

These are the so very lovely selection of cakes and tea after sandwiches and champagne.

Afternoon Tea was absolutely delightful! We had the English Afternoon Tea and I had the 22ct Tchaba Rose tea. An aromatic white tea infused with 22ct gold and rose petals. Loved it! The poached salmon and asparagus sandwiches as well as the scones were my favorites. Yes a must on the high tea list.

Lovely service at the reception. The room is lovely and the menu is extremely extensive . Must say that so far this is my favourite hotel to stay at in London...

Pricey but it was definitely the best tea experience I have ever had and I love afternoon tea!! You are definitely paying for the experience. The waitress took her time to explain every part of the meal and how it pulled in the 1920 theme. It was all very lovely and ended with a fire-y dessert.

The redesigned 5-star, Four Seasons Hotel London at Park Lane is located in the heart of Mayfair, next to Green Park- the start of the grounds of Buckingham Palace. The hotel has a chic, classic contemporary feel. The interior colors- bold red & black with gold accents, lacquered walnut wood with polished chrome, mood lighting is dim and relaxing. The pink piano in the lobby just pops against these dark colors. Black and white photography are hung throughout the hallways. (http://www.yelp.com/biz_photos/four-seasons-hotel-london-4?userid=lmQLg_GG2yM0WcQ_qFwJMQ#QMY_xFQK_6vco-X5--CQTw) The rooftop glass walled spa and lounge is a great spot to relax. (http://www.yelp.com/biz_photos/four-seasons-hotel-london-4?userid=lmQLg_GG2yM0WcQ_qFwJMQ#X03SOBj7SR4DquJp52G53Q) The rooms- they are nerdy, equip with the latest technologies into 'Smart Rooms'http://www.fourseasons.com/london/my_four_seasons/a_smarter_room/ My room met my every traveling need. The bed, pillow & linens were beyond comfortable, slept well for the entire weeks stay. There are plenty of outlets for charging your electronics, and they're placed and spaced out conveniently. The bathroom has a large comfy soak tub, separate shower, t.v.-in-mirror and bidet. The bath robes- plush, slipper's-cozy and the bath products smell so good, made by ROJA Parfums. http://www.rojaparfums.com/ Staff was friendly at every encounter from the front desk, to room service, at high tea to turn-down service, I was pleased with my accommodations. Concierge can recommend restaurants, attractions and activities nearby the hotel, there are many. The hotel offers a house car for hotel guests to places in close proximity to Four Seasons. Other options of transportation is the tube station at Hyde Park Corner (0.2km), the train station at Victoria (1 km) and Motorway Junction, at M4 jnct 1 (10.5 km).

The rooms were very comfortable with plentiful amenities like complimentary bottled water, mini fridge, robes and slippers, etc. The bed was so soft and there were a good variety of channels on the television. All staff we interacted with at the hotel were helpful and kind. There was a fire evacuation on one of the days we were there and an announcement came on the loud speaker informing us to leave and staff members guided us to the exit quickly. The buffet breakfast was nice with omelets by request, a variety of hot and cold items (bacon, sausage, eggs, hash browns, baked beans, pancakes/waffles, fresh fruit and vegetables, juices, cereal, yogurt, pastries). There were servers to clear your plates and provide drinks. We had drinks one evening at the bar and Marco was such an entertaining and efficient bartender. He made our evening memorable and put so much attention into making our cocktails and providing us with information about the signature drinks available. Overall I would stay here again! The location was wonderful and we had a very comfortable stay.

The buffet alone was enough for a meal and it had so many options including fresh fruit, pastries, juice, smoothies, meats and cheese, etc. BREAKFAST WAS HEAVEN. I also really enjoyed the gym! Plenty of equipment. Upon arrival, they brought up chocolates and fruits. The chocolates were AMAZING. They also refilled our fruits and water in the room when the room would get cleaned. It was all the little things that made this place very special. We even stopped by the hotel pub (The Wigmore) which was great too and spotted a celebrity (Gerard Butler!) One year later we were back for a mother daughter trip with another mother/daughter. I originally booked the St Ermins again, but then thought it may be fun to switch it up and stay in a new area of London. A friend/travel agent recommended The Marylebone Hotel, which met all of our requirements: - easy to get around in London - fairly priced by London standards - good shopping/restaurant area We arrived a little cranky from our flight in Edinburgh after a 2 hour Uber from the airport. They greeted us warmly and even told me they had an upgrade for me, although ran out of upgraded for my friend which didn't make her happy. To be fair our rooms were right next to each other and I didn't see a difference so don't think mine was really "upgraded" The rooms like most in London were small. We had 2 twin beds pushed together. It was basically like sleeping in one big bed, but we had our own set of covers which made my 13 year old happy. Everything was very clean and nice, but small. The attached gym was great. It seemed to be a popular local gym so was quite crowded, but if there was room in classes hotel guests could join. I did a leg class one day, which I enjoyed...although got a great leg workout just walking miles and miles around London everyday. The surrounding area was so cute - filled with boutiques (some unique to London and other popular back in the states). There were lots of little cafes to grab a treat as well. We spent a lot of time in covenant garden to see shows on this trip, which was quite the walk but great way to get exercise. And when we returned from the craziness of covenant garden it was nice to be in a quiet area. Breakfast was included in our daily rate. The buffet was adequate and I enjoyed eggs and coffee from the menu. We also received a $50 room credit, which we used to raid the mini bar the last day for some airplane snacks. I thought St Ermins was the perfect pick for my family's first trip to London since it was right next to the tube and near so many sites, but this hotel worked out perfectly for a mother daughter eating, shopping and shows adventure.
