Driving through Bainbridge, we were looking for something to eat. Maryland Fried Chicken or Zaxby? Hmmm. Since I've never had Maryland Fried Chicken, I gave it a try. I wasn't impressed. Not much flavor to the chicken. Salty and way too greasy. The employees were courteous and are hard-working. The restaurant is kept clean and looks inviting. It looks like a local go to place for lunch. Will I return to eat here? Unlikely but everyone has their own taste. Perhaps you like lightly breaded fried chicken. read more

Today I was charged a "surcharge" on my drive through order. It was $2.10 on a $22 order. When I asked what this was for, the employee said "Covid surcharge". WHAT???? I have never been charged this by any other Restaurant or fast food establishment. I will never again do business with a company who gouges their customers in the name of a pandemic. If your company is struggling, just up your prices a bit. But you blatantly use COVID as an excuse? And it wasn't posted on your drive through???? Fool me once shame on you. I will also be posting this on Facebook, twitter, Instagram and reviewing you on Google business. There are 14 chicken restaurants in our small town. Believe me there's no shortage of chicken. This is the best chicken we've had in a long time! Seasoned really well...chicken fries and bread...there are veggies. Simple really cheap 3 people 20 bucks. Skip Zaxbys go here...this is a southern chicken place! read more

I Was a regular customer until today. Ordered a egg and cheese grits cup and received a bleach cup. It was more liquid than normal and after eating a couple bites realized the smell and taste were off. It had bleach in it. The smell was pretty strong. I took back up to restaurant and they confirmed that yes it was not normal and did smell like bleach. They had left a wet bleach rag out on counter that must have dripped into grits container. They did refund money... but I'm traumatized and anxious because I ate a couple bites and had fed one bite to my 1 year old son. :( hopefully they correct this problem and no one else experiences this. In town for work so I thought I would give this local place a try. Got catfish basket and fries. Looked good but catfish had bones in some of my pieces which I wasn't expecting, had no taste, and was just a disappointment. Cole slaw was just ok. Fries were bland and under (maybe not even) salted. I wasted my money. :( read more

This place sucks, no service. Pulled up to the order menu and sat for five minutes (i was the only one there) no acknowledgement from the staff, so I pulled around to the window, saw employees inside, still nothing, i tooted my horn, girl finally came over to the window, I asked her if I could place an order, she replied, we don't open until 11. I asked what time it was and she replied 10:58 and closed the window. The hours on the window said 6am to 9 pm, I guess she didn't read that, now I'm afraid to eat there, if you cannot serve 2 minutes early, don't need my business. read more

Good grief where do I start.... so I pulled up to the menu board and was so just overwhelmed by all that was going on. It was a lot to try to process. Ok so it's a chicken place, got it. Ordered a 12 piece mixed chicken, a large cole slaw, large mashed potatoes and gravy, large fries, and 6 rolls. Pulled up to the window, and the cashier repeated the order back to me, wrong. Repeated the order, 12 piece mixed large coke slaw, large fries, large mashed potatoes with gravy, and 6 rolls. "Yep" she says and then runs the card. Food is handed out and it is not correct, she walks away as soon as food is handed out. So we sit and wait while watching the cashier and two other girls talk. One looks over and says "she wants something" and back comes the cashier. Told her the food was wrong and she says "she upset it's not right" and then tells me that she can get the mashed potatoes but I need to pay the difference. Honestly, I don't mind paying the difference but since I placed the order and then corrected the cashier when she repeated it wrong and she still messed it up???? Seriously?! Don't act like it is an inconvenience that you are having to help me, especially when you weren't competent enough to get the order right! Get home with the food and these stupid mashed potatoes were pretty much water they were so thin and had NO taste. Chicken was dried out and fries super soggy. Save yourself some time and honestly some sanity and just avoid it. The chicken at most gas stations tastes better and you will not have to deal with a sassy attitude with it. read more

The Chicken was dry, the fries were hard as rocks, the roll stale... the tea was good though. I'll never buy Chicken there again!
