His estimate was delivered right on time and covered the base work we agreed to and the optional work I asked to be priced as well. We worked on a start date around weather and the impacts of COVID on availability of materials. He kept in constant contact with the status of the materials. Once the material was delivered the team came out and started the work. They removed the existing gutters quickly and removed all the remnants as well. The new larger gutters went up quickly. I…read morehad already had my roofer Mr. Marshall come and he said they likely needed to be replaced as they were 37yo, and although they had only leaked once during that time, the seal was wearing down and there was evidence of imminent leakage. My roofer suggested I call a company who might be able to repair, just to see if possible. I looked online and liked what I read about Skywright. It's a family company. I texted and Henry responded promptly. Henry and Ben (the new owners of Skywright) both came for the estimate. They took photos and showed me the deteriorated condition of the seal from outside and inside the house. Just what my roofer had said. They recommended replacement with Velux and said the aperture was exactly right size for the new skylights. That was good news. They gave me a decent estimate, (I had gotten one other estimate) and Skyright beat the price considerably. Within 2 weeks the work began on my mid century modern home, 3 skylights, in 90+ degree heat, and work was completed in one day. I asked them a few questions before they left and they were very solicitous and helpful. This company has great customer service The day after installation, heavy continuous rain started and skylights held up well. There is a good guarantee of 5 years on their workmanship and the skylights carry a manufacturers warranty. The new skylights, unlike my previous ones, have room darkening shades which function via remote. I love that feature as it gets quite hot during the summer otherwise.
