The doctors and nurses here are all fantastic. When I couldn't breath due to heart valve problems, a nurse went the extra mile to ensure I got an oxygen machine at home, stat. I've been seeing Dr. Reibman for over a decade; he's GREAT. Although he's retiring, I've also had great care the couple times I went for urgent help and was assigned another doctor. That's one of the BEST things about the MPCP Annapolis office - options! You can see somebody quickly, or you can do telemedicine. There's only one downside: they don't always answer the phone. BUT if you are close enough to drive, just do that - we've always had great results just going in when we had the need. read more

The doctors and nurses were patient oriented. The practice is very regimented and not patient friendly. My first doctor was a great clinician. When she left she recommended another doctor who was also good. I had found the truth about why she left. It was because of the office rules and regulations. I chose another doctor because the practice was very convenient. Then I was shuffled to the new doctor who was kind and helpful. I tried to schedule another appointment but the staff refused to schedule an appointment when I wanted it because of office policy. My husband was Iooking into the practice years ago when his doctor went concierge. They insisted on a meet and greet which wasn't covered by insurance. read more

The one star rating is literally just for the front desk experience. They do not allow you to even speak with your doctor (virtually) if you are "overdue" for an in person appointment. Yet, they never give you a heads up that you're even overdue. I have been going to this practice for years. I am out of town and agreed for an in-person appointment when I return, however, I needed to speak with my doctor sooner. I was told by the front desk person that I'm not authorized to SPEAK with my doctor until I can come in person. The office staff at this place truly suck and I would avoid this practice at all costs for that reason only because you will always have some sort of issue. I've had enough and I'm leaving this practice after I'm forced to come back from out of town to speak with my doctor in person this week. read more

They close at 4 and it's now 330 and I never received a call back...so I called back myself and the automated message says they are closed so they closed early without finishing their jobs. Booooo!!! After waiting for 6:00 minutes to get through, the receptionist hung up on me. This photo was taken as I was holding on the phone, trying to reach someone. I am stuck waiting for the referral that is supposed to be faxed. Fuck this practice, the administrative staff is rude and you can have them at $12 per hour or less, as they are "BRAINLESS!" Avoid this place at all costs. Have been calling for THREE weeks with the request of the Office Manager or the "Coder" to give me a call back to discuss what I think is an overcharge for the type of appointment I had. Every time I call I'm told I'll receive a call back the following day. It's been three weeks and the the Office Manager refuses to call me back/answer my call. Just goes to her voicemail. I've been a patient here for 4+ years and the level of disrespect is unfathomable. They clearly don't value their patients. I feel bad I referred a friend here a couple months ago. read more

I'm a fairly new patient here. Dr. Jett is pretty awesome and one thing I love about her is that she recommends supplements before trying to shove more medication down your throat. She's very informative and is willing to answer any questions that you may have. Overall, the office is nice and clean. The staff at the front desk is always friendly. If you need to make a last minute appointment, such as a sick visit, they can squeeze you in on the same day although you may not get to see your particular doctor. One thing that I absolutely LOVE about this office is that they make people who are sick with a cold or something contagious wear a mask to prevent the spread of germs. The germophobe within me really appreciates this. This office also provides a lot of services compared to your regular primary care doctor. Women can even get their gynecological exams done here. I had no idea they did this until after I had already set myself up with a gynecologist. I'm so used to seeing two different doctors, I just thought it was routine. Overall, I give this doctor's office two thumbs up and 5 stars! There's nothing like feeling like you're in great hands when it comes to your health. read more

I have been a patient here for years and loveDr. Welch so I'm sad this is no longer my doctor. I do have to say though that the one time I had to see a different Doctor, I was not impressed. I went in with what looked like a broken foot and the doctor told me to walk across the street to get X-rays. Turns out my foot was sprained in two spots and no one provided me with crutches or a boot. And to add insult to injury in that instance, my ankle/foot specialist is on the thirds loot of the same building and no one told me to go see her-- I wish there were better communication between the primary office and the specialty offices in the same building because there are so many specialists in the building and no one communicates!!! Make sure you ask for referrals if you need it!! read more

Shortly after my last review, my billing issue was resolved. I was very reluctant to go back but I feel like every one deserves a second chance, so, I went back. I'm pleased to say it's been really great so far. Appointments running smooth, nice people and no more billing issues. read more

IN October 2022 my personal experience at md primary care in Hanover Arundel Mills mall was as follows:. When I called primary care the front desk receptionists are asking for your phone number and using the phone number as your account number. The front desk receptionists are offering/giving out your last name when they pull your phone number up on the computer. I called millersville headquarters the employee stated this is a hippa violation to a patients medical records. The phone number cannot be used as an account number. I have stated 5 different people use this phone number. The medical assistants are spamming patients with constant phone calls when the patient has not asked them to call. All medical assistants are calling even when the patient says no more medical assistants can call and to write that in the patient history. The physician has to authorize the medical assistant to call the patient. This authorization per millersville head quarters has to be done in writing via email by the physician for the medical assistant to call the patient and have access to the patients medical records All medical assistants should not have access to any and all patients medical records. The dr's are not doing this. It is a Hippa violation per their own headquarters. the dr's want to diagnose the patients based on all information given to an unlicensed medical assistant. the dr's want to have a diagnosis ready after what the medical assistant stated in the chart. The dr's don't want to speak to the patients at all. Piece of advice to the dr's, don't trust your medical assistant information that they gather from the patient. you will loose your medical license over it. I Called the after hours answering service and trying to leave a message for a physician to call back. i was hung up on 6 times by the answering service. I as hung up on by the front desk receptionist during regular hours also. there are many other yelp complaints with the same issues above. I am not the only one with these issues. 2 stars only because I do like my doctor. The way this place is run is terrible. It's nearly pointless to have a primary care doctor. You can't get appointments. Even my children won't be seen for sick appointments. I've been told that they won't turn away child sick appointments but this couldn't be further from the truth. It takes months to get a physical. Need to call the office? Better block off your day. You'll be on hold for awhile. Need a referral? Good luck! Every time I send the referral department a fax they don't get it. Worst office to deal with. No service comes without major inconvenience. read more

2 stars because the receptionists were very helpful but other than that don't go here if you have a prescription that you take regularly. I had to jump through hoops to get records over to my doctor and they still refused to write me a prescription that I have been taking for 9+ years now. This has been a waste of my time and effort and now I'm completely out of my prescription and left to find a new doctor last minute. I've been a patient of Dr. Dea for over 10 years now. She's excellent at her job and has never steered me wrong. I trust her medical judgment implicitly. I've seen other physicians here a handful of times when Dr. Dea wasn't in/didn't have an opening and it was a time sensitive matter. The doctors, nurses, and receptionists have always been wonderful. HELP please read they .. I know it's long. I have been a patient at this practice for 19 years. At the end of the summer, they announced they were changing their electronic systems and to be patient while they updated. The process was to be completed by October. Unfortunately I have had multiple issues recently and I have to tell you in my opinion they went from a 10 to a 1. I called to speak with my doctor.. who I really like. I have to speak with her med assistant. I left a message with "Kelly" for the med assistant to call me back. I have to call from work and each and every time for the last three months, I have had to wait a minimum of 15 minutes to get through. I also asked Kelly to please have the office manager call me back about the ridiculous wait time to get through. Neither the med assistant nor the office manager called me back. I called again and after 20 minutes, Kelly answered. She said she left a message for the office manager and offered for me to leave a message in her (OM's) voice mail. I did and I asked Kelly once again to have the med assistant to call me back. That was last week. Five days later, Wed Dec 26 I called back to find out why no one called me back. This time after 20 minutes of waiting to get through to a human, I get "Kate". I asked why it was still taking 20 minutes for them to answer the phone and why no one was calling back.. specifically the office manager and the med assistant. Kate proceeds to tell me they all know about the problem and they were short staffed, etc. and that it was "corporate-wide. I said it was unprofessional. She started to argue that it wasn't unprofessional, and I said I'm not going to argue with you. I asked why the office manager wasn't calling me back.. why no one was calling me back and she said, I feel I must tell you, I'm the practice manager. Whaaaaaaat? She said the messages, including the one left on her voice mail probably went to someone else. Ok. I told her I was going to talk to my doctor and she said, oh don't worry I'll be talking to your doctor about you. I asked what did you say? and she hung up on me. I'm sure that was the phone service, right? NOT!!! Lastly, I called back and spoke to Nicole who gave me the number to their Corp office in Millersville. Called and got right through. Left a message for "Fred" who did call me back. His response was that he got my story, would talk to Kate snd Kelly.. and somewhere in between he would find the truth. My question is .. do I find another doctor? My thinking is that they wouldn't think I would leave the practice because I like my doctor. Anyone else having this lovely issue??? read more

Logistics are gruesome. Long wait times on the phone and scheduling is difficult. They had all my allergies on file and still prescribed an antibiotic that triggered my penicillin allergy, and then had the gall to bill me extra over the insurance payment. read more

The doctors are great but the non-medical staff are horrible, to the point that it makes me want to find a new dr. Calling to make an appt, or any other reason, is a very long time commitment. They leave you on perpetual hold. Don't bother leaving voicemail, they won't return your call anyway. They don't take patients anywhere near the appt time. Even if you just need blood work, you can make it for the first appointment of the day and they will still leave you sitting for a long time. I've already started the search for a new dr. My time is just as valuable as theirs is. read more

I was a patient here many years ago and, being too lazy to find another doctor, I recently went back. My appointment was fine - the doctor spent about 10 minutes talking to me and scurried off to her next appointment. I am an asthmatic who suffers during the fall months and was given a prescription for an inhaler. It is now three weeks later and I am still waiting on the office to fax the proper authorization to my insurance! Three calls to the nurse have gone unanswered or returned. Last week the operator took the time to find out the status. What she failed to tell me, then, (which my insurance relayed) was they never submitted the paperwork. Today my insurance denied the request. Upon calling them, I was told they never received the required form from my doctor. Let me reiterate - I am an asthmatic. Breathing is kind of important (and a challenge). I have already been to the walk in for a breathing treatment and refused the prescription because I had one "being processed" by my doctor. While typing this review, I have been on hold for 15 minutes. Of course it is the end of the day, so I hold no hope for someone to answer my call. I have never been somewhere, in Annapolis, where I have felt like a number. (Especially when it came to a health care professional.) Guess it's time to stop being lazy and find a real doctor! read more

Dr Dea is such an amazing doctor! I was a patient there for many years, and extremely disappointed when I had to move away. She was attentive and worked with me to give me the care I really needed. She treats my whole family, which was actually great because it allowed her to see the conditions that I inherited from my parents, and give me advice and diagnose accordingly. The staff is fantastic in the back office, they remember my face and ask how things are going. They are incredibly understanding since I have a huge fear of needles and made sure I was comfortable every time I needed lab work done. The staff at the front desk is very knowledgeable and friendly, except for the one lady with the glasses who consistently has a snarl on her face. Other than that, I am sad to have had to leave. I would recommend this practice to anyone in the Annapolis area. read more

This office has the WORST communications of all offices! Patient Portal never works, and they have "been working on it" for a year! They close for lunch at noon, but if you call at 11:45am, it is almost always already closed for lunch. Portal has no ability to leave a message for a doctor. If you try to get the switchboard, often you are on hold for 10 minutes or more. So arrogant, and nothing gets done to improve! read more

I went here for about a decade and never had a single bad experience. I had Dr. Behrens the whole time and would recommend him to anyone. Very knowledgeable, explains things well, and really seems to care. I still remember the look of genuine happiness he had when he learned that a condition I had was improving. Dr. Welch treated my wife and baby during my last couple of years here and she is excellent like everyone is saying. She makes you feel heard, doesn't rush you, explains things well, and really seems to care. She is also very good with children. The only reason we left is because we had to move out of state. Sounds cheesy but I wish those two would become MPCP - Massachusetts Primary Care Physicians! read more

Dr. Behrens is by far the worst doctor I've ever encountered. He is condescending, insulting, treated me as if I were some sort of low class person and he is the superior being in the room. He ordered tests that made no sense, of which I had to pay for. He never followed up on my issue. I finally had to go to another doctor (at another practice) to be PROPERLY diagnosed with a sinus infection. Medication was prescribed and I am now fine. I just don't understand the negativity voiced by some here. I have been a patient at MPCP-Annapolis for 7 or 8 years and have always been able to schedule appointments, have my calls returned, and receive necessary follow-up and referrals. Dr. Dea is my primary care doctor and she has been, from the beginning and without any exaggeration, whatsoever, great. I am a 65 year-old man in good health, but who has some problematic family history, and I am, by nature, a worry-wart. Nonetheless, I trust Dr. Dea 100%. I have, on rare occasions, had to see other doctors when Dr. Dea has been away, and all have been thorough and personable. All of the RNs, phlebotomists, technicians, and front desk personnel have been, without exception, professional and caring. My wife sees a doctor in another town, but I wish she would switch to MPCP, because I believe she would receive better care than she is now. read more

This practice is rigid and very difficult to work with and they do not provide the level of care that makes it worth it to me. Recently, when I needed to see a doctor the same day, the Annapolis office could not accommodate me so they suggested I call the Arnold office. I did and saw an RN. Not great, but what do you expect for same day, right? Well, when I called back quite a few months later to make an appointment in Annapolis, with my primary care physician. They said my office was in Arnold now and that the only way I could see my primary care physician was to make a "new patient" appointment with her more than 8 weeks later! I could, however, call the Arnold office, where I did not have a doctor and make an appointment with them. This makes no sense at all. Time to dump Maryland Primary Care. I will find a new practice. Too much hassle with these folks. read more

I have been a patient here for over ten years but after today my wife and I are done with them. I have always been taken back within 5-10 of my appointment time and then had to wait at least another 30 min before the Doctor would see me. I have had enough. Today I sat in the waiting room for over 30 min and when they come to get me there is no attempt to apologize for the wait. I tell the nurse that I am not happy about this and that I want to speak to the office manager. I am put in an exam room and about 10 min later the Doctor walks in. He proceeds to tell me that He routinely runs behind schedule and then insinuates that it is just the way it is and why should I complain. There is no attempt to apologize or anything. I will never go back to a Doctors office that treats me like it is my fault they allow themselves to be over book. read more

I just contacted MPCP to pay my bill. They took my credit card information and said it would be ran later on that afternoon, WOW talk about credit card security issues. I voiced my concern on the phone with the administrator who took my information and got a rude response that this is the way we do things if i didn't agree with it i could always come to the office and pay the bill in person. I had been going to one of the doctors in this group for over a year, dealing with some stomach issues, before a final visit that was so shocking I refused to go back. Health issues (allergy) finally now resolved, with the help of another doctor. When I was there, I just received referral after referral, spent so much time and money on visits and copays, just to receive a, "We'll see how it goes, come back in a few weeks." Every time I was there, the physician I visited spent the entire visit "clicking" her digital file and ruling out what wasn't wrong with me, but never took the time to figure out what was. (Bedside manner was terrible - some visits I wondered if she'd even seen my face to know who I was.) Issues never felt resolved, and I never once felt like the doctor had any other thought than, "When will this be over?" My final appointment ended with me saying, "I have a question about a separate issue..." and the doctor said that she really couldn't deal with it right now and that I'd need to make a separate appointment. I have never been so disgusted with a physician's attitude in my entire life. Couldnt't take one minute to hear my question. Totally sympathetic to the fact that GP's are overbooked, that they feel that they can't provide the care they want to because of how many patients they have to take on, insurance issues, etc. and maybe because it was a Monday morning, she was having a bad day, who knows - but I was so aggravated that my family will no longer use any physician in their group. Sure the facility is nice, easy to make an appointment, nurses are great and very helpful - but actually getting taken care of is something I expect from a doctor - call me old-fashioned. It is absolutely terrifying to think that a doctor, who is theoretically the one person you should be able to count on to help you (since that's what they get paid well to do) tells you that they're too busy to listen to a question after a 5-minute appointment? Where is a person supposed to go if they can't count on their general doctor? read more

The doctors are ok but the waits for are horrible! The appointments run late and forget getting anyone to answer a phone if you need to talk to someone. The average wait time is 7.5 mins to 20 mins. I called and no one answered. My advice would be to test them yourselves before making them your primary dr office. read more

My husband went to see Dr. Reibman as a new patient, as we are new to the area. Although Dr Reibman is a good doctor, the office practice is horrendous. First, they have a consult before the physical, which we were charged an office visit. Then when he went for the physical, the office charged as a follow up, and again he was charged another co-pay. (Our insurance has 0 copay for physicals, but they coded it as a follow up to get more money from us and the insurance company.) Then my husband went to the pharmacy to get some medication refills that Dr Reibman prescribed. When he got home he noticed a medication he never heard of. We looked it up online and saw it's a medication for people with Cerebral Palsy. He contacted the office to be refunded for the erroneous prescription and Kate, the office manager, was very difficult to get a hold of. We had to threaten calling the Atty General and file a complaint because she was very evasive. She miraculously called my husband back immediately. She assured him she will look into it and call him back. She finally called back several days later and said they will not reimburse him because the drug was handwritten and they won't take responsibility for it. Makes no sense to us, so maybe the State Attorney General can figure it out. read more

This is possibly the worst doctors office I've ever had the displeasure of stepping foot in. I scheduled an appointment on my lunch hour, at 12:30. I sat in the waiting area for almost an hour before I was seen by Dr. Adler. I was lead into the physician area, where the nurse said nothing as she waited near a scale. I asked, "Do you want me to get on the scale?" Maybe she could have opened her mouth and said what she wanted me to do, instead of staring at me like I'm crazy. Next, I was lead into the room, and waited another 10-15 minutes to see the doctor. At this point, it is almost 1:40. I get a sly, "Sorry, I'm running behind." My visit with Dr. Adler took about ten minutes all together. I wasted a lot of time here. If you're looking for a punctual, friendly, and considerate doctor's office, keep looking. I usually never write reviews, but this place is horrible. read more

They continue to take forever to answer their phone. They refill the wrong prescriptions. You'd think doctors would double check things. I called today to fix a prescription and they promised to call it in or send it in and fix it and assured me I didn't have to call and double check and walk through everything with them. I'm writing this review from one of the rooms at Maryland Primary Care Physicians in Annapolis where I have been waiting for over 50 minutes to see my doctor. This room has the sun directly on it and feels like a sauna. This is not the first time I have had to wait this long at this doctors office, however it will be the last because I will not be coming back here. My appointment was at 8am and it is now going on 9am. The hospitality from the nurses is non-existent, and one made an ignorant comment about my age. I came in a week prior to have blood drawn and also did not have a pleasant experience. I left feeling very frustrated. It is very unprofessional when there are no attendants at either the check in desk or check out desk. I had to wait over 10 minutes last week to check out after getting blood drawn and the desk attendant just laughed and said a half hearted sorry. I have been a patient here for 3-4 years. The first time I came seemed fine, but it has gone downhill since. read more
