Every single aspect of the…read moreproject - from the initial estimate, to follow up calls with the estimator (Jim) and the scheduler (Brent), to the installation and final product we're 100% perfect. Yesterday's installation was like an orchestrated ballet - the entire project was completed in one day and the crew working the project could not have been nicer or more professional. We will be using Freedom for any/all future fence projects! Great work, great results, and great warranty.

After saving to experience outdoor living and researching different businesses, I decided on Freedom Fence and Deck. This was a huge disappointment. I experienced this company attempting to bait and switch as well as manipulate an agreed sign contract with the measurement of the patio and key entry fence with handle. When I provided proof of the patio measurements the contact was honored. After spending thousands of dollars, and during 2025 Summer and Fall, I could not experience outdoor living due to the plethora of ant hills on the patio and fear of ants crawling and biting on my skin. One week after completion of the patio ant hills were visible. After sending pictures and texting concerns; Mr. Carlos stated, "the pavers themselves are not organic and do not attract insects". I continued texting and emailing as often as more ant hills became noticeable. As of this review, ant hills are not only visible, vegetation is growing. I refused to be accused of damaging the installation of interlock pavers for the patio or nullifying the contract; therefore, it continues to grow. I anticipated professionalism, knowledge and skill from the owner, management, and employees from Freedom Fence and Deck... I was wrong, "receiving payment was more important than quality work". Although I have a warranty and anticipate these concerns to be addressed professionally and timely, I am leery; they are money driven. Therefore, again, I DO NOT RECOMMEND Freedom Fence and Deck; their main focus is monetary and lack accountability, responsibilities and quality for the results of the interlock pavers installation for the patio. I have yet to experience the outdoor living I envisioned; therefore, I am rating NEGATIVE STARS with emphasis of "buyer be VERY AWARE!" An update will follow the results of mitigation and restoration.

They were the lowest cost, but still competitive, and went the extra mile to hand dig every fence post so as not to hit any buried electrical lines. Additionally, they are family-owned and local, which is important to me because I want to always refer my neighbor's business over big conglomerates. Call John and his family and get the job done right!

The initial engagement with the owner Curt was pleasant, the quote we received was reasonable, and the job started 8 weeks after we signed the contract. Unfortunately, that's where the good ended... On the day of the job, the crew didn't let us know they were onsite, which wasn't a good start. Then after the work was completed they left without notifying us that the job was done nor doing a walkthrough with us. The next day we looked over the work and noticed that two of the installed gates were not level and were substantially tilted to one side. We contacted their office manager, Tammy, who stated that the owner Curt would stop by the following day to review the issues. Curt was a no-show and after following up with Tammy she stated he would stop by the next day instead. He was again a no-show. We once again followed up and asked for a specific day and time that they would come out so that we didn't have to miss work again and never received a response... The following weekend Curt finally showed up unannounced and without notice and never apologized for the no-shows. He then immediately asked in a defensive tone "What's your problem with the gates?". We explained the issue and he tried to blame it on the previous fence builder. We stated that the previous gates were level and installed correctly and he replied "Well then what do you expect, this was a repair job". Uh ok... I expect properly built and installed gates, per our contract. He finally agreed that one of the gates should be rebuilt after initially denying it had issues and said he would try to reposition the other gate to reduce the slant, but he clearly was not happy about doing the work. Also, after providing feedback on the crew's disappearing act he stated "We have bigger jobs than this that are more important". When I stated I couldn't recommend them to others due to their lack of customer service, he walked off and barked "We have plenty of other work in this area so I'm not worried about it". Wow... A simple apology would have gone a long way... Ultimately they did fix the gates and followed up to see if we were satisfied. However, based on our overall experience I would not recommend this company due to their lack of basic customer service, lack of basic respect for their customers, and shoddy workmanship. Also, they clearly don't value smaller jobs, which is a bad move on their part because they lost future business with me as well as my neighbors who asked about my experience.

Overall, Juan is a really good, honest guy and he did great work with the drywall and electrical. Improvements in communication and cleaning of the worksite would make him a 5/5. I would hire again if he treated the space a bit more delicately to prevent damage and cleaned up significantly better at the end. Full Review: Pros: Juan has attention to detail to his work; the end result was very professional. He underestimated how much time the project would take by a couple days, however he worked over the weekend during his family time to make sure the project was done on my timeline. Juan arrived pretty early on most days (e.g. 7:00a.m.) and put in full days to get the project done. Cons: I was out of town for 3/6 days of the project. There were a couple issues with the installation that I would have appreciated a phone call to discuss before moving forward. Although he did arrive early, he was sometimes off +/- a couple hours for his arrival. This is only an issue if you are planning to meet him, which wasn't absolutely necessary on my part. Cleaning was a bit of an issue. Juan did wipe things down as he went, but the level of cleanliness was not great in my opinion. He put plastic over the door leading to other rooms, however a significant amount of dust made it throughout the other rooms. I had to clean this two times. In the outdoor space it appears he poured a couple buckets of spackle and water in the yard, areas that had just been seeded with grass and I had asked him to be careful of. To be fair, my yard is small, but still the mess could have been avoided. The site was roughly wiped down and the floor was mopped, however I still had significant piles of dust on most horizontal surfaces, walls were scuffed up and had multiple new hand prints, and the wood floor had multiple scratches and depressions from moving the fridge around. The fridge is heavy, but I have moved it in and out of that room a couple times with no damage to the floor so I know it can be done. A little more grace would have been appreciated so I didn't have to repair a damaged floor. He purchased some stain markers for me to help repair, but this won't remove the long dented scratches. Overall, I had to spend 3 hours cleaning up excess dust, wiping down walls, and repainting (rolling out) the walls to cover up new marks (and old marks) on the walls.
