Our gutters seemed to be cleaned well, however the Maintenance evaluation report they give you is unreliable. For backstory: We had a leak coming into our home for a few months before their service. Since they offered a complete evaluation of the roof and gutter area, I decided to go with this team. When they finished, I reached out to receive their report via email. It came back saying everything was in good shape, so we had a contractor come out to take another look. Turns out the repair needed was so obvious to the contractor (from two stories below) that he didn't even have to use his drone to evaluate the damage. It's hard to wonder how these professionals missed such a glaring problem. Just yesterday, we had a handyman come out to do the repair and while up on the roof they noted that we even had a tile completely broken in half just above the damage to the soffet and fascia (of which you could see from below). While a little late, I appreciate that you don't have to be home to have your gutters cleaned. The staff that came to clean our gutters of our townhouse were quick, friendly, and efficient. They cleaned up before they left and knocked to let know both when they were here and when they left. I had zero issues and appreciated the work done. After they left, I was sent a summary report of what had been done and I really liked that because I knew there was a slight problem, but not exactly where. Turns out we had clogged spouts and that's why water was coming out from places it shouldn't when it would rain hard. Setting up an appt was easy and since I was a new customer, I was able to use a coupon for services. They got my address and info on what type of home it was before putting me in queue. I was expecting to have to wait a few days, which was fine, but I got a text and email that they'd be out the next day. I had CPS come out to clean my dryer vent. Just moved into a 30 year old condo, bought a new dryer and it was not working well. I immediately thought that it was stuff in the dryer vent that was impeding proper ventilation. Luis came out and cleaned out my vent which was on the second floor, exterior wall. The morning of the appointment they called and cancelled because the tech's wife went into labor. This was after I travelled an hour to be at my elderly mothers home. At that time I thought to myself, they will charge ME if I cancelled the last minute, but I was like, OK, and made an appointment for June 19th. After travelling the hour once again, the techs no called and no showed for the appointment. I observed a bird fly out of my 3rd floor dryer vent last week and knew I had a problem. I called 3 different vent cleaning companies and decided to use them to solve my problem. I made the decision based on the professional discussion that I had with Tony and the price that was quoted seem fair. Also, they could perform the service on Monday. The service team showed up on time and got right to work. They needed a 40 foot ladder and had a industrial air compressor to clear out any obstruction. In a matter of minutes they had the dry vent cleared and sanitized. They also installed a guard over the vent to prevent future problems. UPDATE: The contractor and I came to an equitable agreement so I've amended my rating. The actual results were good, my siding is clean. The crew could have been friendlier and more communicative during the work. The owner reached out to me immediately after my review and we worked it out. I had Chesapeake Property Services powerwash my house. They started late (around 5 pm) and had my pond covered, which is next to my house, with a tarp, but when we got back from dinner, they were gone, the pond was uncovered, the fish were dead or dying and the water was full of bleach. I can only guess that when they removed the tarp they just let the bleach water fall into the pond. They had used a brick to hold the tarp in place and I found that at the bottom of my pond, meaning they let it fall in. Thankfully that didn't puncture a hole in the lining. They broke my frog garden sculpture and left it in pieces on the side of the pond. They didn't warn us when we went into the house that they were using bleach water so wherever it dripped on my shirt, there is now a bleached out spot. So the fish that I've had for over 10 years are all dead. I had to drain the pond completely because of the bleach and I won't be able to get more fish until spring because its too late in the season. My property was damaged, my pets were killed. read more

Needed my townhouse gutters cleaned, pulled out my ladder only to realize it was too short and the wife told me to "call in the pros". Did some searches and found Chesapeake Property Services with good overall reviews. I was told seven to ten business days with an advance call and would be billed after. Fortunately I was home five days later when to my pleasant surprise the red truck pulled up with a two man crew. They were great, as I described my requirements, due to some of my gutters adjoin the neighbors townhouse. They asked to use the water, pulled out their ladder and went to work. They made sure the gutters were clear, bagging, blowing them out and rinsing them down. They cleaned off the side of the building and the stoop, were plenty of crap came out of the gutters. They even did a portion of the gutter from my neighbors side that led into my downspout. That's exceptional service! The crew was very pleasant and professional, letting me know what they were going to do and a follow up report at the end. I might have knocked half a star as I did not get a voicemail message about when they were going to provide services and there is a good chance they would have missed my front corner downspout which was the major reason I needed service. After we recently got a new dryer, we wanted to ensure that it performed optimally. So Chesapeake Property Services (CPS) cleaned our very long dryer vent, which is a metal tube over 12' from our dryer to an outside vent. The team was punctual, responsive, flexible, and efficient. While we wanted the vent to be thoroughly cleaned, we didn't want to take apart the tight installation required for the new dryer. CPS assured us that they could still do the job from outside. Since this company decided to lie on their response for another home improvement site, I wanted to add more details about my experience with them. This company came out and did work on my gutters by mistake on 6/8/17. The invoice they left me was for 10 houses down and they mixed up the street address. I never contacted them or reached out to them about services. They supposedly "cleaned" my gutters during this service they did not have permission to do. On 7/6/17 I was home during a rain storm and noticed that my gutters were no longer working properly. This was the first time I was home during a storm to inspect the work they had done on my house. I called and spoke to Gus that morning and he told me that they would not come out and do any service unless I was willing to pay them for a service call. I questioned him, saying his company did work on my house without permission, damaged my property, and now you want me to pay you to come fix something you shouldn't have done to begin with? He held firm and said they would not come out unless I was willing to pay them for a service call. Because of this I have now had to contract another company to fix my gutters when there was no problem to be fixed before Chesapeake Property Services damaged them. To recap, performed work without me calling them or my permission. Damaged my property. Took zero ownership of damaging my property. Would not fix my property even though they acknowledged they did work on it without my permission. Lied about me calling them "months after the work was completed". Will never use this company again. Removed part of my drainpipe and left it on the ground. Splattered leaves and dirt on my garage doors, porch, and all over my brand new deck. Left debris around entire perimeter. Managed to blow a new box of light bulbs that were against the house on the deck into the middle of the lawn with a bunch of leaves and dirt. When I complained, I got lip service apology. Showed up just before sunset to clean the deck which my deck contractor had already cleaned. Pressure washed our deck Sunday in am attached townhouse. Looked up & saw a mini forest starting to sprout looked for gutter cleaning on Monday morning. Yelpers directed me to Chesapeake. Called in, explained the issue. Was given a quote and an estimated date of service-pro tip, no need to be home for it. Tuesday (the next day) I got an email saying service would take place tomorrow! I planned to be home since Verizon had to come out on Wednesday anyway so good. Arrival window was 9-11 A; 8:33 AM, the big red van pulls in. The gentleman Kevin and his partner do a quick look, set up and get to work. He asked if water was available just in case. Next thing I know, surprise, he's coming down the ladder with a contractor bag (it was that bad) full of junk no water access was needed for the job. I could pay buy check or by CC. He gave me a report card of the gutters and an invoice and was gone. I called a couple hours later to pay my invoice and the person answering was just as friendly as he was when I got the quote. (Verizon still hadn't gotten here so no internet to see if I could pay online) From initial quote to payment, this team is a class act. Highly recommended and fair pricing. Other companies quoted double or were backed up for 12-13 weeks so if you need your gutters done, call them. Adulting can be the worst but these guys definitely handled business. read more

They not only manually clear out the debris from the gutters, they run water through the downspouts to check for clogs, and also check the roof for obvious issues while they are there. In addition, they cleared off my patio of existing leaves, which were not the result of their cleanup.
