Shopping and selecting the dress was a pleasant experience. Not understanding the full price until checkout should've been a red flag. When the dress arrived, it was not as expected or promised. I was able to get a full refund, however not having a dress three weeks in advance of an event is not what's expected from an experienced boutique. Disorganized, double booked, and misleading. None of the bride's wish list dresses were available, the process was painfully slow, and the owner was rude and unhelpful. The whole experience left the bride overwhelmed and disappointed. We originally booked for 10:00 AM, but the owner called the bride and asked her to come at 9 AM instead. When we arrived, the books had not been updated, so we were double booked and had to wait for a stylist to come in. Nothing from the bride's wish list was pulled, and none of her requested dresses were even in store. If they had reviewed her wish list ahead of time and been honest, we would not have come. Instead, they just kept pulling random dresses that were not her aesthetic or style. The process was painfully slow. Only four dresses were tried on in the first hour, with a 40-minute gap between the third and fourth. Eventually I had to start grabbing dresses myself and even helped her get in and out of a few, which is unheard of. Afterward the bride told me that her assistant, Alex, barely assisted and just put each dress over her head, which made everything more frustrating. It was obvious the bridal assistants felt overwhelmed, and it only added to the chaotic atmosphere. I even overheard another group ask if they should just come back tomorrow since it was so clear the staff were behind and overworked. While the attendants were kind, the owner was cold, never introduced herself, and only came in to set rules and restrictions rather than making the bride comfortable. On top of that, do not think about bringing a coffee, it will be confiscated. There were also ring cameras all over the boutique, which made the experience feel uncomfortable and invasive. The shop advertises pages of dresses online that they do not even carry in store, which feels misleading. The whole appointment was chaotic, and the bride left feeling overwhelmed and disappointed. Having just gone through wedding dress shopping last year for my own wedding and having an extremely different, positive experience made this appointment even more disappointing. I wish we had read the reviews for this shop before booking. After the fact, it is clear our experience was almost identical to what other brides have described. Tips if you are thinking about booking here: * Call ahead and confirm that the dresses you see online are actually available in store. * Double and triple check that you are not double booked and that they have enough staff to give you their full attention. * If you do go, make sure Mary is not your bridal attendant. * Honestly, the best tip is to just book somewhere else. When first coming to the shop I was excited! I had already went to one shop previously and had an amazing experience where I believed that I found my dream dress. Since I already booked this appointment ahead of time and didn't want to be out 85 dollars (including my booking fee and no show fee) I decided to go as it is a big decision and wanted to be 100% in my choices. Now talking about my experience at the establishment. The shop was beautiful but as they know I have been somewhere prior they asked to see pictures of the dressed I was interested in and I showed. They then began pulling a dress as close as possible. And didn't give me the chance to ask or see anything else. First when getting into the fitting room there were robes and slippers, to me they seemed a bit stained but were (hopefully) washed. From the moment I arrived and was in the first dress I felt the pressure and began to feel uncomfortable. Not only that they have ring cameras everywhere so as you are trying on a dress there is a camera staring directly at you. It was just me and my mother but even so as I was trying one dresses and I only did 2 as they were trying so hard to sell me on the 2nd one I just wanted to leave. But many people were invited into the space while I was trying on the dresses which felt it was taking away from my experience. They brought people into the conversation and began saying how pretty I looked in the dress. She also began showing off the dress to the people in the room by showing how it can be modified and done. It no longer felt like an appointment for me, but more along the likes I was modeling the dress for someone else. I believe towards the end my patience's was getting thin and I was trying to figure out what to say to leave. I kept saying I think i'm going to go to lunch and think it over because it is a lot of money and a very big decision. The worker then continued to not take no for an answer and kept saying what could we do to make the decision easier so much so she told me the price and said they forget to account for the FATHER's DAY SALE which was not advertised anywhere. I then was able to leave but the next morning I received a message to confirm or reschedule an appointment that I did not make to return back to the dress shop. Personally I would not recommend this shop as it is high pressure and you feel like you are trying to get sold a product on a kiosk from the mall. Disheartening Experience - Would Not Recommend Our visit to Mary's Bridal was extremely disappointing. Instead of feeling celebrated and supported, my daughter left the appointment feeling disheartened and unheard--something no bride should experience while shopping for a wedding dress. We had an appointment on Saturday, July 5 at 11:30 AM. Even scheduling was a challenge: after submitting the online form and receiving no response, I called and left a voicemail without hearing back. I ultimately had to visit the store in person just to confirm the appointment. During the confirmation call, I asked how many people could attend with the bride. I was told there was no limit, but then advised that it was "bad luck" for a father to see his daughter in a dress before the wedding. This was unexpected, especially since we had already communicated who would be coming. When we arrived, my husband was asked to wait in the front while the rest of us were brought to the back. He requested to join us but was told he couldn't, as other bridal parties were expected. However, during the entire 2.5-hour appointment, no other customers came in. Mary began the appointment with an informative overview of dress styles and construction. However, she repeatedly made comments about how brides should try to "elongate" themselves and mentioned very specific body measurements as ideal. My daughter, who is naturally petite, found these comments discouraging and unhelpful, particularly given that Mary advertises her specialty as working with shorter brides. We were not allowed to browse the store's selection. Instead, Mary brought out one dress at a time. The first gown was presented as a complete look--veil, bun, and bouquet--as if a decision had already been made. When my daughter expressed that it wasn't her style, the feedback didn't seem to be taken into account. The dresses that followed only moved further away from the preferences my daughter had shared. She had selected a few gowns from the website ahead of time, per Mary's instructions, but none of these were shown. Even after sharing inspiration photos--such as a v-neck style she loved--Mary only brought out versions that didn't suit her. At one point, a gown that resembled her preferred style was finally shown, but by then my daughter was emotionally exhausted. She declined to try it on, expressing that she didn't feel comfortable continuing. Rather than creating a collaborative, supportive environment, the appointment felt one-sided. My daughter's input didn't appear to influence the dress selections at all. It was discouraging to watch her confidence fade over the course of the appointment. In the end, we saw only dresses designed by Mary herself--not any of the store's broader designer collection, including the specific one we had requested in advance. The appointment ended abruptly without any acknowledgment of how upsetting the experience had been. Mary clearly has extensive technical knowledge, but the ability to listen, show empathy, and adapt to a bride's individual vision is just as important. absolutely terrible service!!!! My best friend went to Mary's Bridal to get a prom dress atleast 2 months in advance to prom. (NOTE: there is now only a week until prom and she STILL doesn't have her dress) The woman running Mary's Bridal (Mary) gave my friend her number to contact her for when she could do a fitting for her. Mary would never stay in contact with paddy (friends name) and kept telling her to come in with only an hour in advance. Then, she had my friend try on the dress, having it pre-hemmed and way too short. This is only the start of this woman's mess. I'm not going to put the whole story down but I will list some key points throughout the experience! - Mary lied about where she gets the dresses( she made up an entire story about how her "team" is in China so she can't order a new dress for Paddy. The brand she gets dresses from is in California.) -She was rude and extremely disrespectful to Paddy, and Paddy's mother. (She took Paddy back to try fixing the dress and paddy's mother went back there a few minutes after Paddy and Mary did. Mary says to Paddys mother "Oh so i guess you want to fix the dress then? I told you not to come back here." Then looked at Paddy and said "Do you want your mother to see me touching your body." THIS was EXTREMELY inappropriate. WHO SAYS THAT???? Mary then stormed out of the room - Paddy is a very strong girl, but this woman's negligence and idiotic behavior had her crying in her PROM DRESS. - Mary also over priced her work by a LONG shot. We looked up the pricing for Paddy's prom dress and it costs around 500$, mary wanted us to pay her $800+ for the dress that came pre hemmed! It is absolutely ridiculous. There are so many more things I could say about this entire experience, like how she lied about not being at work when Paddy and her had finally made a compromising appointment. Then had her assistant do it for her although she was, in fact there. Anyway, this woman is a liar and not easy to work with. I never ever make reviews, especially not negative reviews but this situation has to be recognized because she is an unpleasant and unprofessional, nasty mouthed woman. She absolutely does not deserve an extra 400$ profit, let alone any buisness!!! So if you want your daughter/son to have a wonderful senior prom night, I STRONGLY advise against going here. If I could give this place a 0 I would. I bought my dream dress from a different bridal salon. I brought it here in November 2024 for alterations and to order a veil. My dress (strapless) fit me perfectly the bust just needed to be tapered to lay against my skin instead of sticking out and had to be bustled. When I got the dress back this past weekend 3/8/25 the completely butchered and hacked my dress. The beautiful ruffles/ruching was gone the cathedral train was cut straight across. And they took the supportive boning out of the bust and it could not stay up at all. $1000 wasted on alterations And the veil was supposed to be buttery smooth French silk with a blusher. When I tried it on it looked like. A bird cage and was rough and textured and did not feel silky. I was promised at my first appt in November that they could make a custom cathedral length veil with a blusher that was French silk tulle. What I receive was nylon tulle. I left because they said what I tried on was what was delivered. Alex the seamstress was not listening to what I was saying when she told me at all appts that it will press softly and like butter and then they said I could not have French silk tulle because it will not hold its shape for cathedral length. I had to ask them sternly if I could finish talking because they kept talking over me hoping I would shut up and accept this. A waste of $2000 custom veil. I went back later that day because when I said I was not taking my veil they kept my dress even though it was butchered I did not feel comfortable with them holding it when I bought it at a different salon. When I went in they said it would be about an hour wait and we could go to the max u til they called us. I said would wait here, a mom asked me what was wrong because she heard me say to the lady I was not comfortable leaving my dress here after the morning and all the tension. The worker lady gave me a look she was not happy I was telling her everything that happened that morning. The mom and daughter decided to leave when they learned it would be a wait, I told the mom sorry but she said thanks you definitely swayed my daughter from buying her prom dress here. The worker lady then said oh they will see you now after not even 10 mins?? I thought it would be an hour? When I started talking to them I told them they did not deliver product that was promised in the contract we both signed I let them know legally they broke the contract that said French silk cathedral length with a blusher. They stared at me until I asked "you do understand what a break in a contract legally means correct?" They scurried off to get "mary" who we never saw and came back and said to the skinny white girl who ha d horrible attitude from the beginning to go ahead and she asked how much and Alex said all. I got a full refund but not without the girl saying snottily " you are lucky no other store would do this for you at all" excuse me but you made me pay in full for a product that was not even made and then when it's refunded you said "we will just ship it back to the warehouse" so it was never customer made to order. While I ultimately bought my wedding dress here, I would not recommend this shop and wish I had gone elsewhere. I sent them the dresses I was interested in but they did not pull any of them and instead pulled what I assume are ripoffs of other designer's styles. I found a dress I really loved, but after having it altered, there were glaring issues with it that went ignored. The alterations were utter garbage (like seriously, they need a different seamstress), and ultimately I'm having my dress fixed elsewhere. It just wasn't worth it. They make you sign a document that you won't sue them and other nonsense, which legally isn't enforceable, however it is a huge red flag. Don't waste your time here. read more

Let me first start by saying the STAFF is AMAZING! However, Mary became surprising unprofessional. I took my daughter into the shop to look for a prom dress (we drove over an hour & 20 mins), initially Mary was being very kind telling her how beautiful she was and being very informative. My daughter loved the dress she tried on, Mary confirmed the dress was available to be shipped from the warehouse in Canada and ensured no one at her high school had purchased the dress from her school. Since this was a bit of a commute for us we had made appointments at a couple shops in the area that day to search for prom dresses but this just happen to be our first stop early in the morning. So I mentioned to her, my daughter really loves this dress and it is highly likely we will be right back to purchase this dress, but we have one other appointment we're going to head over to before committing. Oh that's when she became NASTY, getting snippy with my daughter and I saying she doesn't understand why should would leave if she loved the dress, rushing her out of the dressing, telling her just leave it on the floor. She was extremely rude, making smart comments and walked off. The staff was extremely apologetic and ensured if we decided to come back they would be able to assist us. So despite the uncomfortable situation that happened initially, we did decide to go back the same day because my daughter did indeed love the dress. When we went back we only dealt with the staff. We ordered the dress and spent OVER $1600 including shipping and alteration fees. We received a dated two weeks out for when the NEW dress would be in to go in for a fitting. Only to arrive and realize A NEW DRESS WAS NEVER ORDERED, so although I was charged for shipping of a new dress it was the same one in the store previously. I noticed the wore out pieces at the top and they mentioned they could iron them out and gave us some body glue to hold up the few pieces still a little flimsy. I mentioned to the staff why did I get changed 100 for shipping if a new dress wasn't even shipped, a staff member did eventually come out and give me a refund for 100. I asked to speak with Mary before I left. She seemed pretty reluctant to come out and took forever to do so. Once she came out I did mention how I was disappointed in how she acted previously, even after spending over 1600 she never apologized, then to come pick up the dress and not have a new dress after being changed for a new one. I was Disappointed. She says I don't think I was rude but I apologize if you felt that way and I gave you a 100 curtesy credit...like it wasn't owed to me....why would I be paying shipping for something that wasn't shipped. I explained to her I shouldn't even be paying full price when the dress isn't new there are flimsy pieces on the dress, I was supposed to have received a new dress. A NEW DRESS IS WHAT WAS AGREED UPON. she confirmed previously the dresses was available in the Canada warehouse. she did eventually agree to give $100 off which really wasn't enough. I FEEL LIKE I WAS TAKEN ADVANTAGE OF THERE IS NO REASON FOR THE PRICE I PAID THEY SHOULDN'T HAVE USED A REFURBISHED DRESS. Like others have said, READ THE YELP REVIEWS!! I made the mistake of only checking Google and had walked by this shop for years. The appointment I had was horrendous, to say it was uncomfortable and unprofessional is an understatement. I had been texting with the shop and had specifically asked if certain Sottero & Midgley and Justin Alexander styles were in stock to try, I was assured they had them. When we arrived, Mary served as our stylist. She asked a ton of questions, asked to see photos of what styles I liked as well as my fiance and our wedding venue. I thought this was a good sign but was gravely mistaken. Mary took me back to try on the first dress, a couture "Mary's Bridal", little did I know it would be THE ONLY DRESS I TRIED DURING A 2+ HOUR APPOINTMENT!! Not to mention, I was extremely uncomfortable with her head on speaking to me while I was naked in the dressing room. This just felt very inappropriate and honestly set the tone for what chaos was to come during the appointment. I was never offered the dresses or styles I had requested, was only told what could be altered about this dress, pinned a million times and grew increasingly frustrated. She also kept disappearing, leaving us on the runway for long periods of time and would suddenly appear saying she was "looking at the dress in the security camera and it looks great." My sister kept hinting that she was implying she would make a custom dress for me and wasn't going to show me the designers I came to see. When I expressed that I may prefer a style I had tried a previous boutique, I was told "you get what you pay for" and if I wanted "OTR from China, go to Roya." Once it was clear we weren't going to make a purchase that day Mary became curt and essentially rushed us out the door. Why advertise on your window brands you carry and then push your own designs? Stay Far Away! My best friend's daughter thought she found the perfect wedding dress. Wrong! Mary lied about the name of the designer of the dress. Cut the tag off the floor sample and planned on selling the bride the floor sample dress at full price which was $2,700. The list price on this dress is $1,800 & Mary is charging 1,000 more. Mary had no intention of ordering her a new gown. Mary stated she would only order a new gown if they used her for alterations which was $800 more. Shame on You! You wasted our time! Wow, I wish I had read the reviews. As others have stated, this was an utterly bizarre experience (condescending attitude, prolonged periods left alone in a dress or with no dress, invasive questions). Apparently, Mary designs her own dresses - though it doesn't say that anywhere on her website and only lists the more well-known designers she carries. Therefore, I went to this shop hoping to see some Maggie Sottero, Allure, Sophia Tolli, etc. dresses. In my nearly THREE HOUR appointment I tried on ONE dress by any of these designers and three by Mary (four dresses in three hours). When I finally tried on a dress that I did like, but didn't want to commit to, Mary asked me "what more do [you] want" and "what will it take to make this the dress". Then said we would keep going until I found "the one". When I expressed I would like the chance to peruse the racks myself and choose some, she was clearly frustrated and basically dismissed me after that, telling me to let an attendant know if I'd like to pull one. After I tried on the fourth dress (with the very kind attendant), I decided I had seen enough to think about. I asked to see Mary to confirm pricing; when she came back out she said "what more can I answer for you?" and insisted that the prices were on the tags (I was only allowed to see one dress tag, when I was with the attendant, and it had two prices listed, picture attached). I was also told her designs were "named after the bride that purchases them and don't have style numbers", but this tag is clearly labeled with a style number. She gave me the prices, disingenuously said "it was nice meeting you" and showed myself, my mother, and my future mother-in-law out. No "we have your style numbers saved" or "please call us when you decide". It was my fourth bridal appointment and completely unlike my other three. TL;DR - Do not shop here. Mary is a miscreant - a thug - who will isolate you in a dressing room so that she can strong-arm and bully you into purchasing a dress she lied about making by hand. ----------------------- I made a bridal appointment at Mary's to try on wedding dresses so I could get an idea of what I liked. I have a wedding date, a venue, etc. If I found a dress, I planned to come back and purchase in a month. Everything leading up to the day off was great. Communication was great and reserving the appointment was easy. We arrived about 3 minutes after 11, which was our appointment time. Kayla escorted us to the back and continued setting up things around the store. We didn't mind as we had to fill out a paper she gave us anyway. Kayla was very nice and extremely competent as a stylist! I showed her my dress inspirations and told her what I liked. She picked amazing dresses and made me feel comfortable. She picked out 3 dresses for me to try on first and the first dress was THE ONE. She continued picking dresses just to rule others out and to make sure that was the one I wanted. Mary interrupted our appointment many times making it very clear that the dress I picked was handmade by her - it wasn't. It is an Allure Romance dress that I, thankfully, found in another bridal shop nearby for $1000 less. At this point in my appointment, they take me to the back to get my measurements. I disclose that I am planning to return to purchase the dress at a later date due to personal reasons. The friendly atmosphere immediately turned cold. The tension could be cut with a knife. The woman taking my measurements stops and says she has to go speak with Kayla for a brief moment. They whispered on the other side if the partition for about 10-15 minutes while we sat in the back area. No one said a word to us. Then Mary came to the back where we were. Mary asked me to come with her to the back, which I obliged. She took me to the dressing room and said "my people have told me there's a problem, what's going on?" To which I told her there is no problem. I'm just planning to return in a few weeks to a month to purchase the dress due to personal reasons. Mary tried to use urgency to force me to make a purchase saying "the dress will take 12-13 months to order." When that didn't work, she stated since she made this dress, if it sells I would have to pick another. At this point, I knew she was a hooligan trying any way she can to milk money out of me because those two back-to-back statements were quite contradictory. She then asked why I was waiting to purchase, which I explained IN DETAIL even though I shouldn't have had to experience her behavior or this line of questioning in the first place. Mary did not care. She tried to demand that I call my fiancé to have him pay for the dress before we left. The whole experience with Mary put a sour taste in my mouth. She made sure I would never come back to her store or recommend it to others. The saddest part of this was that the only pictures I got of this experience with my mom and I were taken on Kayla's company phone. They never sent them to me. So, I will never have those to hang in my house or to cherish for years to come. Do not shop here. read more

For more accurate description of Mary's, PLEASE read the Yelp reviews. I wish I had. Mary makes people write good Google reviews in the store to "win a contest". My honest review: Not sure where to start with my Mary's wedding dress experience but it was horrible. Mary told me if I couldn't find my dress that day at her store then I wouldn't find it anywhere. I ended up saying yes to a "custom" dress because I didn't find one I loved and she sold me on a combination of dresses. Red flag #1 should have been when she asked me to write a 5 star Google review while sitting next to me at my appointment to "enter some contest". I told her I don't write reviews before receiving a product. Red flag #2 should have been that you pay 100% up front and there is a line in the contract that says you can't dispute this credit card charge. I learned later that is not an industry standard. But, I was excited about my potential dress and didn't see the red flags at the time. The dress I ended up receiving was HORRIBLE. After 2 alterations appointments at Mary's, I brought it to a different alterations shop to get a second opinion and they were mortified. They showed me all the things wrong with the dress and where Mary's had cut corners. They could not believe that Mary charged me $3000. I ended up not wearing that dress on my wedding day because the experience left such a bad taste and the issues with it would have been expensive to fix. When I finally found a different wedding dress at a different shop the experience was night and day. Not to mention that dress was $1400 total with no crazy contracts, a steal compared to Mary's custom garbage. Mary is pushy and will do what it takes to make a sale that day. Hopefully this saves someone else the headache and money with their wedding dress journey. read more

Don't be like me, READ THE REVIEWS! My engagement shoot was coming up and I was seeking a Jovani dress for the occasion. I needed it in less than a month so I just knew that a dress shop would suffice to find the Jovani dress or something similar. When arriving it took a long while to get my appointment started, but the receptionist was very friendly so it made time fly by. Anyway, Mary greeted me and told me that she was one of Jovani's top sellers and that she would see if she could find the dress for me. She informed me that Jovani couldn't get me the dress in time but she would be able to make the sleeves for me instead. I showed her the dress as well as a vision board with another look I was going for. Mary was a bit aggressive in her approach and tried to make me find another dress outside of my vision. I ended up ordering the custom sleeves and left the shop. My pickup date rolls around and I received something totally different ... not even close to what I asked for! The seamstress told me that there were no refunds or cancellations. I had to reach out to Mary twice (she only communicates via text I guess) before getting my money back. Very unpleasant bridal experience. Ms. Mary didn't create a space of joy or celebration. There was extensive talking. Aggressive questioning & scolding almost about looking to marry in less than a year (she stressed that they're working on dresses for 13 months out and said I basically need to get a dress immediately; no kindness in the tone at all). She spoke of another shop I visited and repeatedly shared "reasons" why Mary's is "better". After an hour I was in one dress, and left in the dressing room for a while to wait for another dress to be brought to me. If you can, I'd advise visiting a different shop. read more

Yesterday my 90 year old mom wondered into Mary's to reminisce about days gone by and look at all the pretty dresses while I picked up our lunch next door. She got locked into the shop and could not get out. A huge fire emergency hazard! She was calling out loudly for help getting out but no one came, so she walked toward the back and seeing a staff member sitting at a desk she continued calling out while walking toward her. There is a raised platform/runway that is not marked and same color as the floor and she tripped and feel hard and was badly hurt. Not one staff member came to get me while I waited just outside the door. It was a customer in her wedding dress that came running out and got me. Now there were 6 or so staff pulling and yanking on my mom. I am not sure what they were doing so I yelled for them to stop. I wanted to make sure that her badly bleeding knees were not broken or that there was not other damage that I could not see. All the shop owner wanted was for us to get out. And not once did any staff member ask if she was OK, did we need an ambulance or even for our contact information so that they could later check up on her. The bride was more helpful than any of the staff. My main question is why was the door unlocked so my mom could get in but locked when she went to leave with no staff anywhere to be found. What a huge hazard for any customers and the staff as well. read more

I'd give 0 stars if I could. Upon arrival the doors were locked which should've been our first indicator that this was not going to go well. Mae, the woman who helped us was rude, unpleasant and unprofessional right from the start. She honestly didn't seem like she had any knowledge on wedding dresses AT ALL! The vibes of the entire shop were just off. No good energy. We were told at the beginning since we had a baby that they advice us to "keep the baby in our laps and not let them crawl around as there are pins all over the floor". Seems dangerous for anyone. Half way through the appointment the baby was standing on a stool that one would sit on and was dancing with me looking in the mirror. Who I assume was Ms Mary (judged that by her rude attitude) came up to me and addressed me very rudely. She said that "the baby must say in your lap as I am making multiple alterations all day everyday and there are pins everywhere" and also stated she made an alteration yesterday where she used "1000 pins". Um...maybe you should clean your shop a bit better as I believe it would be a hazard for anyone to sit or step on a pin. They instructed us that they had pulled a few dresses for the bride to try on as she had already sent inspiration photos prior to the appointment. That was not the case at all. Mae kept running back and forth grabbing dresses off the racks for the bride to try. After the 3rd dress and only an hour of being there we were ready to leave. When headed out Mae said "it's surprising you didn't find anything as this is a designer boutique and everything is custom". Will never be returning here and honestly surprised they are still up and running. I've never seen so many bad reviews in my life. read more

From the moment we walked in, it was not a pleasant experience. They told us that they had pulled my daughter's inspiration dresses prior to the appointment, but when she got back to the dressing room, there was nothing. The attendant, May had nothing ready and kept disappearing to tend to other things. When she did return with a dress, she would drop it off and walk away and only return for a second. Then when my daughter didn't love the dress she would become very offended and just say, "ok then, what next?". We weren't allowed to walk around and look, so we had no idea what dresses they even had. After three dresses my daughter wanted to leave, and all May had to say was, "well I'm surprised you couldn't find anything in the store when the dresses are all custom". Well, had we been able to walk around and look, perhaps we would know what was available. They had none of the dresses my daughter had seen on their website. It was very disappointing and thank goodness we had another appointment prior to going there, so we knew that this wasn't how the experience should have been. Read the reviews! Worst bridal shop. I had an extremely disappointing experience at this bridal shop. The staff especially the girl helping me, who I believe was named May, was incredibly rude and unhelpful. They wouldn't even let me look at the dresses myself, insisting that they had everything under control. When I mentioned that I couldn't find anything I liked, they told me it was weird because everything is custom-made, which didn't make sense. To make matters worse, the staff member claimed she had picked out all the dresses I sent in advance, but it was clear she hadn't. As I was trying stuff on, the woman just disappeared and wanted me to tell her exactly what I wanted, even though I didn't know what they had since I couldn't walk around. When I expressed that I still didn't find anything I liked, she just walked away. On top of everything, I had my baby sitting on the couch and got yelled at because there were supposedly millions of loose pins everywhere. Disappointing appointment for mother of the bride dress to say the least. Having filled out the online form and then repeat it at the store, I was led to a rack of dresses and told to pick up to three to try on. There was no assistance in pulling the color, length or silhouette that I requested. I pulled a couple not even close to what I was looking for and then had to seek out the associate to let her know I was ready to try them on. She left me alone in the dressing room and I had to call her back to assist w the zipper each time. It was very odd to me also that each dress had Mary's Bridal tag and they claimed each dress is custom. The selection of dresses was very basic and the fabrics were very cheap. And to be told the cost is $2k was shocking. Poor quality and lackluster customer service. read more

Posting on behalf of my wife: "I'm not one to complain, but I want to warn any potential customers about false advertisement. As far as quality and attention to detail, Mary's bridal is average, at best. When I walked inside for the first time, she made me leave positive feedback on both Google and various forms of social media, and watched over me as I typed what she asked me to before even helping me. I had nothing to base the review on yet, and she watched over my shoulder as I wrote these reviews. I then found out from past customers that this is something she often, if not always, does. To make matters worse, when I was getting ready to pay, she told me that the work on my dress would cost roughly $600. When she came back with my credit card I was given an invoice for double the mentioned cost. In addition, wait times are absolutely insane. For example, I was led to the changing room and made to wait 40 minutes until deciding to ask. I was given a rude response as if I had caused an inconvenience by asking. Mary is a very manipulative business owner. She will tell you just what you want to hear in the current moment to either talk you in, or make you feel pressured in to doing business with her. She falsely attempts to relate to her customers to try to make a sale, and if your interest starts fading, her true colors come out. I don't recommend Mary's bridal." read more

BUYER BEWARE. DISHONEST BOUTIQUE. Mary has wonderful dresses, the shop is beautiful. Mary led us to believe we were purchasing a custom dress made by none other than, Mary! Low and behold we have a Maggie Sottero dress that she sold us for one thousand dollars over what it would normally cost. ((Shame on us for being bedazzled by the stunning dress right then and there)) Mary also had us originally leave positive reviews on all platforms in order to be entered into a chance of winning a dress (no such drawing has ever occurred - which I don't mine, but just puts in perspective all he positive reviews left on this page) ...Dresses are wonderful, just know your prices prior to going in.. you could easily purchase the dress at any other stop with better customer service and honest business! read more

NIGHTMARE experience. I don't even know where to start. First off, the owner can not take criticism or critiques. If you don't love every dress and aspect, she acts offended. She is not helpful when you don't know what you are looking for. Felt like I wasn't allowed to see any other options unless I explicitly described what I wanted to see, but found that hard because I wasn't sure what I was really looking for. I didn't like ONE lace veil and she refused to put me in lace the rest of the appointment because I "didn't like lace". I found several other gowns and veils at other stores with beautiful lace that I liked. She showed me three dresses over a 1.5-2 hour appointment and when I clearly didn't love any of them, she didn't offer any meaningful suggestions or options. Felt like she was blowing me off because I wasn't clear on what I wanted. My friends took a few photos of the one I liked the most but very clearly didn't love. When I told the owner I didn't want to commit to any of the three dresses, the owner literally (!) yelled at us for taking a photo and accused us of trying to get it made by another dressmaker. Excuse me, but for a dress so important and costly I would like to make sure I like the gown still in a few days before committing to it. She refused to make an account for me to log the dress I liked, in case I wanted to come back and look again, but if I didn't have a photo, how would she know the dress. If you don't know exactly what you want in a dress and can articulate that very fluently, this is NOT the store for you. Be prepared to pick a gown in one appointment otherwise you will be find yourself in an uncomfortable situation. She has 3 questions she tells you in the beginner and those are her criteria if the dress is right for you. She will try to make your commit to a gown with her three questions at the end. But HER 3 criteria do not mean they are MY criteria for a dress. There are several other stores such as Amanda's or Bettsy Robinson with very pretty dresses and the staff/owners treat you with respect, actually listen to you, and offer suggestions. You know, how it should be! Not to mention, at a much better price. 0/10 stars, would never recommend this place. Absolutely horrible. Do not go here. read more

After trying on multiple dresses, my daughter was still not sure about one of the dresses and wanted to think over night about it. Mary went into a rage and belittled my daughter going over her three talking points for the fifth time. My daughter went back into the dressing room and cried. The girl who helped us apologized for Mary's attitude and says she has talked to her about this many times before. All the staff walked around grumbling about Mary the entire time we were there. I would not recommend this place to anyone if you do not purchase the same day. Mary is a horrible person,love the staff, just not her. I forgot to add that once my daughter changed into her own clothes, Mary told the young lady who was helping us to "escort them out of the store!" Ride, rude, rude!! read more

This was my fault, I didn't read the reviews... Booked two appointments online for me and my friend. Candy called that same day to get a profile of what I liked. I requested a 2 and 2:30 which she said they were too busy at that time so I ended up doing two 4 pm appointments. Candy was lovely and sounded very joyful and excited. I was also told that because my wedding is further away and my friends is less than 6 months they would need to pay more attention to her. Which is fine I understand no problem. Day of appointment we walked in and someone with dark hair greeted us with a smile and fun attitude. She told us that Mary would be assisting us soon and to wait a minute. Mary greets us and then the vibe just went south. (Just like other people were saying she doesn't give you eye contact.) She again reminded us that because of my friends wedding the focus would be on her but I didn't think the entire focus would be on her. They then directed us to a seat and dressing room. One of the ladies offered us water and then Mary comes over and just goes into asking 20 questions about what my friend wanted out of a dress. It seemed very routinely and not like a conversation(and never asked me anything) . She then says that she had some dresses pressed out for her already. Which I didn't understand because the dresses she pulled were coming off the rack. (We didn't understand why the dresses weren't already in the dressing room if they were pulled and pressed.) So while my friend is having her time trying on dresses I was just sitting on the couch like I am the support friend and It was 4:45 and they closed at 5. Also I didn't get update on my appointment and I realized they double booked us and I was never going to have an appointment.( I could have shared the dressing room with my friend....) I was over it by this time. Then my friend finds a dress that she thought was just ok and Mary begins to pressure her to buy it right away. She rejected it and Mary grabs the dress and storms out the dressing room. My friend puts her clothes on and we ran out of there! I understand that she has been in the business for a long time, her attitude proves it but she definitely lacks passion. The energy in the store doesn't feel happy bridal shopping. It feels systematic, no customer service. Brides should feel like they are special and catered too. If she wants to stay in business, she should allow her associates to do it. We originally found Mary's from the seemingly great reviews. However, I am genuinely surprised by the number of positive reviews after my terribly awful experience. My hope with this review is I can save brides from having the same experience I was subjected to. Upon arriving, Mary joined our consultant to discuss my vision for the wedding. I said that I had found a dress I loved, but wanted to keep looking to exhaust all of my options. I offered to show her several of my favorite dresses to get an idea of my style preference but she shut me down immediately. It should have been clear then she did not care the type of dress I wanted, but rather what she wanted to put on me. Upon hearing I had tried on 25-30 dresses already, she was incredibly rude and condescending, saying that was a "red flag, and that most brides try on no more than 4-5". She consistently tossed out stats that did not make any sense. She told me her dresses weighed on average 4 oz, but yet it was the heaviest dress by far of all the 30 I had tried on previously. She also called the boutique that I had found my dream dress at a "consignment store" which it very much was not. After rattling me with this abrasive conversation, I was whisked away to the changing room alone with no way to contact the people with me about how uncomfortable I was and that I wasn't sure I would like to continue. The way that she dressed me was unlike any store I have been to. Most allow you to keep your back to them, or stand outside and return to zip or button the dress. She insisted on standing directly in front of me, while I was completely nude on the top. This was incredibly uncomfortable given that she was a stranger, and clearly very judgemental given the following comments. After getting the dress on, she began pinning and making comments about "how nice it is to work with a bride that is so petite, as the percentage of obese women is so high". This is very inappropriate and unprofessional. After finally being pinned and allowed to exit the changing room, I stepped on to the stage and burst in to tears. My friend immediately asked to have the dress taken off so that I could calm down and they could talk to me. The consultant was very understanding and helped me out of it, but Mary quickly showed up and forced me into another dress saying it was "exactly what I asked her for". We got partially in to this dress before my mom voiced that we were done and wished to put my clothes back on. Thank god for the consultant KiKi who was an absolute breath of fresh air and honestly the only reason I survived as long as I did. I am so thankful this was not the first boutique I visited, as I do not think I would have been able to continue the dress search. There are so many wonderful shops with kind and supportive staff - Mary's was not one of them, and I would not recommend it to any bride. read more

Brides be ware!!! This place is such a sham! She took my grandmothers dress and told me she would use it to recreate a one of a kind custom dress. Come to find out all she did was throw away my irreplaceable grandmothers dress and give me a Maggie Sottero dress well marked up over price and add a Mary's tag to it! When I asked for the buttons or any of the remaining pieces of the dress they said they did not keep them. She is a terrible wicked woman to do this! On top of all this the dress she produced was poorly put together. My off the shoulder ripped during my first dance and the train ripped as well. I'm wondering if we should seek legal action.
