This was confusing, as the website never required me to sign into DoorDash; all delivery and payment information was collected directly on the restaurant's site. By 6:00 PM, my order had not arrived. When I checked the status, it showed that the restaurant had canceled the order, yet I was still charged. I called the restaurant and a young boy answered, explaining that "Grubhub didn't submit the order info, so we received a blank order and canceled it." I clarified that I ordered directly from their website and that my card was charged by the restaurant. When I asked about a refund, I was told that DoorDash would refund me in a few days--which made no sense, since DoorDash never took my payment. I then contacted DoorDash, who confirmed that the restaurant processed the payment and that the refund had to come from them. DoorDash called the restaurant and merged us into a call, where I was told to "call back tomorrow after 1 PM when the manager is here." They refused to take my name or leave a note for the manager.
