I was honestly impressed from the moment I walked through the door they greeted me right away and seated me super quick. I ordered the fried rice, and wow... it was so good I ended up getting another one to go. The service was on point, everyone was friendly and attentive without hovering. And because the food hit the spot, I treated myself to two Sapporos figured it was only right since the vibes were that good . Overall, amazing experience. Definitely one of those spots you walk out of thinking, "yeah, I'm coming back here again."

The Brownies Tempura were so tempting I had one before the picture

Well after a day at the beach we decided to visit an old stomping ground and have some sushi and to my surprise the great little secret in Homestead has just become fantastic. I guess they are under new management and you can tell the service was fantastic as we got treated like family and [[HIGHLIGHT]]the over ambiance was like always[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]]. But what got us going was the food. The menu is new and improved with a touch of what I would call some Peruvian influence and just some great food. All we had were appetizers but they were fantastic. [[HIGHLIGHT]]If you want a great place to bring the family or have a romantic dinner this is the place.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]]

There menu has a lot of Japanese and Thai options. [[HIGHLIGHT]]The restaurant was clean but we kinda sank into the seats.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] I guess that's what happens to a popular restaurant. [[HIGHLIGHT]]They had a high chair available for our little one to sit in.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] I don like that we were seated immediately with no reservations.

Back again and once more had a wonderful experience. The service is quick and friendly, the food so fresh and delicious!! The chicken katsu roll is an ABSOLUTE MUST! This is my favorite sushi bar in all of south Florida.

The first time we were here the food was really good and the service was outstanding. This time it was good food but the service was sub-standard. No wasabi or ginger on the plates and had to ask for it. The prices have gone way up as well. Not sure we will return.

[[HIGHLIGHT]]Food was delicious, they have amazing atmosphere, great food, music is nice and low so you can talk.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] [[HIGHLIGHT]]My new favorite place to be, very good for celebrations.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] Service was fast too.

Asked for a TomKa (coconut milk) soup and this is what I got.

I asked the waiter that the soup was missing the coconut milk. He said that was the way it was. Then after they saw me posting, they removed the soup from my check and said they made a mistake and forgot an ingredient. lol Also, I asked for a simple spicy tuna roll (classic) . Usually between $8-$11. Waiter came back and said they don't make that roll. That they made a spicy tuna crunch roll instead for $18! I'm in the restaurant business and know that you should always listen to the customer. We don't taste every dish and need to listen to our clients in order to have opportunities to correct the issue before it affects more clients.

Burnt Hot JB Roll with barely any decent salmon in it.

Friend and I walked in, we were greeted immediately and sat. There was only one other person in the restaurant at the time sitting at the bar. We ordered fairly quickly because we sort of know what we like and what we normally get at other similar restaurants. The woman took our order around 2:17p, he ordered a Penang curry and I ordered a hot jb roll. I found the rolls to be extremely pricy in comparison to a lot of other decent sushi places I have been to. So I expected some quality at least. Well, fast forward 30 mins into us waiting - I figured the curry was taking a while but the sushi I'd assume would come out fairly quick. The restaurant had two or so more parties come in. A few minutes later my friend gets his curry. The curry itself tastes well, but the rice was extremely hard. I waited a few more mins for my roll that still wasn't out, the waitress came over to let me know they were cutting my roll up. 5 mins or so pass and finally my food arrives, at which at that point my buddy finished his meal because it took so long for my roll to come out. I was highly disappointed in the quality of the roll. The breading on the outside was overcooked, it was hard to bite into it and chew. You can clearly tell it was left in the fryer too long. The inside I could barely taste because of the overpowering taste of the burnt outside. And even then, the inside didn't have the best parts of the salmon. It was mostly the grey slimy part of the salmon in there so it gave it a strong fishy taste. It was hard to eat, I wasn't able to finish it and after leaving I felt nauseas. Only reason it's not a 1 star is because the waitress was nice, even though she didn't come check on us after we got our food to ask how it was, or refill any waters. I feel that she was just busy with other tables at that point. Regardless though, for a place that doesn't have the ambience and quality of food, the rolls are WAY too pricy. I would recommend another place for sushi, but you'd have to drive out a little more. This is the closest sushi spot in the area for most people so o can see why some don't mind it. I've had better for cheaper.

Sake Thai and Sushi Bar offers both Thai and sushi menus. While the vegetarian section was limited, they mentioned that they can veganize any vegetarian item upon request. I decided to go for the seaweed salad, fresh tofu roll, and yaki udon with tofu. The food was delicious, and it arrived promptly. I also appreciated that they stayed open on the 4th of July, and I was able to get here after diving, thank you for your hard work and dedication. All in all, it's a solid choice for satisfying pan-Asian cuisine.

We were so lucky to randomly find this place and surprise mom for Mother's Day with her fave, sushi. The service is wonderful and Melissa was very sweet and attentive. I ordered the rainbow roll and it was fresh and delicious. The ambiance was great, they decorated the place for Mother's Day with balloons, it was very nice. We'll definitely be back for dinner very soon.

CRISPY tuna rice, more like BURNT tuna rice

This place has gone downhill since new management took over, they seem not to care about the quality or quantity of their food. The rolls have shrunk in size but have increased in price? now I wouldn't mind if I was receiving quality fish but you aren't. I used to love this place & it hurts writing this review but after going in a few weeks ago to eat Crispy tuna rice & I revived BURNT rice & I kindly told the manager & he was looking at it like it their was nothing wrong with it, it was upsetting for sure, I never return food even if I received the wrong order because I work in the industry as well so I try not to give anyone a hard time but, that was just disrespectful. I will never spend money here again & you shouldn't either save your money & go to Bangkok instead their Thai Tea is delicious there.

The curry was really good. My pad Thai was undercooked, the noodles were crunchy, that was disappointing. I wouldn't go back.

RESTAURANT: This location has been here for several decades…read more I have not been back for quite some time, maybe over ten years. It's nice to see that not much has changed. The aesthetic inside is still very true to the Japanese culture with small Japanese status and art work on display. There is a small sushi bar at the back corner and seating are available for small group parties. I am not a fan of carpet flooring. Located next to US1 and there are plenty of parking within the shopping center. SERVICE: The owners had been the same for many years and had always been very polite, as what you would expect with the Japanese culture. We came at very slow evening and we had the place to ourselves. My son was dissappointed to find out that the bento box was only available during lunch, but the server/greeter/owner lady told us that she can make it happen for him and that just made his day. She answered all of our questions and always had a smile on her face. She was very attentive as she was serving other customers as well as it got busy. FOOD: This visit, we had the shrimp tempura entree and the red scorpio roll and a chicken katsu bento box for my son. Each entree includes a soup/salad of your choice. The food tasted just as I remember from many years back. And I am just going to say it, they have the best tempura in Homestead. The portion size is good, very authentic and delicious. The red scorpio have my favorite tempura softshell crab. It's lighter compare to the other rolls with the fresh vegetable inside minus the heavy sauces on top and it look so vibrant with the colorful masago on top. The bento box for my son included a soup as well, with a couple California rolls, tempura veggies and the chicken katsu strips. The katsu was crispy on the outside and juicy inside. Overall, this was a nice walk down the memory lane back to when I used to work across the street, we had a lovely dinner. I still believe that they are the best Japanese/sushi restaurant in Homestead. Very authentic from the service to the meal. Fairly priced and so convenient with the late hours. Can't wait to our next visit.
