She is really great at advocating for her patients and also was extremely helpful in getting my insurance to cover these gender affirming procedures. She is super LGBTQIA friendly. She is without a doubt the most educated doctor I've ever had the pleasure of working with as well. She has done 5 fellowships plus she's the director of plastic surgery research and the co director of cranial facial surgery. I honestly would give her 10 stars if I could because of how great my experience was. She is also not one of those doctors that sees you as just a number and she doesn't rush you and takes her time. She also keeps it very real when discussing outcome and possible risks. Last thing I want is a doctor that is just telling me what I want to hear and she is very honest about the risks.

My appointment was scheduled for 9:50 I got in the door 9:52 exactly (kiosk to check in is right at front when you get out of car from valet) so do not have to do any interactions until called from the nurse! Which is a plus (again a plus with for anyone who has kids) Dr. Patel GI specialist was my 3 Year olds Dr. she has very good bed side manners and everything went well, my son was fond of her giving the circumstances. I was out the door by 10:32 (kid you not) I will be returning here for anymore follow ups and or urgencies! Much respect for this place and all the staff I did encounter even though not that many.
