Walked in and was not greeted, other reviews say they have horrible customer service so i'm believing it. Selection is very low. Prices have increased significantly. The price tag will indicate an additional $4 or more compared to the previous price. I even got a response back from them via Google maps and has then changed my views for the company/store. I will not be coming back especially if you can't handle any negative reviews. They wanted an example of the prices but look you're not allowed to take photos! read more

Stopped in for Mother's Day to get a gift for my wife and my mom, the plants were healthy and beautiful. Not a huge selection but it's a small storefront so for how much room they have it's pretty good. I enjoyed seeing some plants I don't normally see in the big box stores. This shop has gorgeous, and healthy indoor plants for beginners and even advanced collectors. I purchased a Scindapsus Jade White Satin (rare plant) and variegated string of pearls! I was surprised to find such a diverse range of houseplants and also noticed that they use systemic preventing pests. We stumbled across this little shop when were downtown shopping. It was just off the main shopping area so we hadn't noticed it until we parked by the library. What a gem! We found so many unique and fun plants and stuff, we went a little overboard. The airplants inside seashells that look like jellyfish were the coolest. The pitcher plants were awesome too. The staff was super helpful and friendly. I'm so glad we found this place. What a great local shop! read more

Very cute trendy new shop in downtown Kalamazoo. Have a large variety of indoor plants, succulents, air plants (new to me!), and lots as well as accessories to go along with. I think the build your own succulent terrarium was a pretty awesome service to offer! Pick your plants, your bowl, your rocks, and put it all together. Would be fun for an event (when those happen again) such as birthday, shower, graduation, etc. Go here to find a really exotic plant with a pot and a special spritzer for that super unique housewarming gift! Such a cute and welcoming shop right in the heart of downtown Kalamazoo. The staff is always extremely friendly and knowledgeable, and willing to answer any and all questions about plants and/or plant care. They carry all kinds of rare and unique plants as well as plants you can find just about anywhere. Their plants are well cared for and affordable for the most part with the exception of some large or rare plants. One of my favorite things is the terrarium making station; such a cool and different thing to have that I think makes mason jar stand out even more! Cute shop, love the idea and overall display. Customer service was less than desirable, multiple times. I had called and inquired about if a plant was in stock, and the lady in the phone was short with me and just plain rude. She said she would call me back with a price and never did. I still decided to pay the store a visit because everyone has an off day sometimes. Once in the shop, I had asked a question about if a plant was animal safe and the employee scoffed, said no and promptly walked away. I had asked another employee about the care of another plant and she made me feel extremely stupid and unwelcome. I had high hopes for this shop, but was very off-put with their snooty vibe and highway robbery pricing. read more

WOW!! What an amazing little shop! We are from southern Ohio and, in the several years I've been collecting plants, I have never seen a gem like this one. Not only do they have a great selection more common plants but the uncommon/rare choices are flabbergasting. The plants are all very happy and healthy and the prices were more than fair. Perhaps the best part (aside from taking home new babies) was chatting with what I assume was the owner. She was so very knowledge and nice! She even went out of her way to help by wrapping and holding my purchases while I finished shopping the mall because it was rather nippy out and she didn't want my babies to get cold. Her awesome vibe transforms this shop into something warm, inviting and very comfortable. I was like a kid in a candy shop myself! If you like or love plants and you're going to be anywhere near MI, you MUST stop by this amazing little jewel. You will be so glad you did. A little overpriced, but they have healthy plants! And higher prices are to be expected when shopping small businesses.

We drove an hour and 45 minutes to reach the Mason jar. The posted hours for today were 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. We arrived at 11 a.m and were told they were closing at noon. They did not have a public restroom so we left to find one. We returned at 11:35, walked through the open door and were told that the store was closed, by the same young lady that said they were closing at noon. She said she could ask the owner, who came out of the back room and said absolutely not, we are closed! Thankfully Google led us to a different nursery in Kalamazoo, named Wedels. They had a wonderful selection, reasonable prices and friendly, helpful staff. Definitely won't be making another trip to the Mason jar. read more
