Decided to try this place out after the great reviews. It was a but disappointing. My daughter had the burger and fries, and she could not eat the burger. It did taste weird. I took a bite also. The French fries were potato wedges and weren't included with the burger. I ordered the waffles, which were actually really good. My son ordered the French toast, which was ok. I ordered the apple juice, and a bottle of juice was almost $7!!! Like what?!? The place is spacious and very clean and new. I liked it. The service was great, too. Everyone was sweet and had a smile. However, be prepared to wait to get the menu, have someone get your order, and get the check. It could be how it is on the island, but it was way too much for me. I wouldn't go back because it wasn't food I would have to get again. read more

Loved it!!! While visiting Mayaguez, Puerto Rico we looked for breakfast places with good reviews. Massa came to the top. We were not disappointed. First was the service, young and friendly staff, very willing to explain the menu. And courteous enough to chat with two not so young customers. The server (think her name was Kari) explained the menu with interest and care. Her descriptions were on point. The place was pleasantly decorated in a coffee house motif. The decorations were old barn style which improved the ambiance greatly. Diana ordered the ham and cheese omelette which came with sliced toasted bread and was very delicious. I ordered the French toast sandwich (ham, cheese and egg) along with country friend potatoes and bacon. Really big to eat it all. Awesome taste. All accompanied with great tasting coffee. Will return when we come back to Puerto Rico. read more

THIS WAS THE BEST FOOD Ive had in a while. My friends and I were visiting la isla and we're looking for great spots to eat while on a road trip! I ordered the steak and my friends had pasta and everything was PERFECT. We also got coffee and drinks! We were so in shock that we didn't take many pics! I got an omelette, some fruit, and oatmeal, and it was so delicious! This was a couple months back. I won't even lie I sometimes find myself daydreaming about their oatmeal because I found it to be so yummy. 10/10 would come here and if you're a broke college student like me, it makes for a very good meal. Took Mom for breakfast as a pre-birthday. She had Egg Benedict, I had french toast sandwich with bacon & sautee potatoes, and a friend had wrap bacon in pancake & scrambled eggs. All of our dishes were delicious, the atmosphere very relax. A little on the pricey side but worth every penny. Will take Mom for bfast once a month. Awesome food, great emvironment, spectacular service. Some might think it on the pricey side, but I think it's totally worth it. It's very relaxed. It feels like a combination of old and young. The food is creative and the service at least during my visit, sets it apart. I will definitely return, hopefully with friends to share the experience. Massa is an unexpected surprise among the many cafeterias and bakeries found in Mayagüez. The artisan bakery and cafe offers much more than what one has grown to expect from traditional bakeries. Massa offers a variety of sandwiches all made fresh with artisan bread and Boar's Head cured meats. Having been there various times, I can proudly recommend their 230 W, a perfect brunch addition in their egg and hamburger combo, served on a lightly toasted English muffin. The only thing I dislike about Massa are the prices. The sandwiches are served with no sides and are very expensive. Although everything is usually well cooked and well seasoned, it seems ridiculous to have to pay almost 2 extra dollars for a side when the price of the sandwich could easily cover the investment needed to provide some chips or fries. All in all this place is pretty good, but the prices are a little too high. read more

Massa is my usual spot in Mayagüez for coffee. They usually have their house coffee as well as a reserve roast that is very very good. You can pair your coffee with a great variety of pastries or a sandwich if you want to make it a meal. They also offer many other options for meals and drinks. This is a very good spot for anyone in town. read more

I love this place! Found out about it from a friend last year and I go here every time I get a chance. Love their sandwiches and breakfast. Massa es un lugar excelente, desde el servicio y ambiente hasta la comida. Mi única queja tiene que ver con el uso del inglés en las pizarras con el menú. Porqué optaron por utilizar ingles en lugar de español, que es, después de todo la lengua materna de la mayoría de (sino todos) los clientes que visitan el establecimiento? Se nota a simple vista que Massa busca promocionar productos puertorriqueños como el chocolate Jeanmarie y el café San Pedro entre otros; entonces, porqué no hacerlo en nuestro idioma?
