Like most parents you are scared your child will go under general anesthesia, will the tubes even work, will it make things better for my child, etc. Luckily we had a positive experience. My child had 9 ear infections in her first year of life. Poor Kid. We saw Dr. Grilli, and after examination he recommended tubes. We then spent a morning at Mass Eye and Ear in the city for the surgery. They certainly cater to children in the facility we were in. They had a nurse in the waiting room, to help make sure your child was adjusting. I was allowed to stay with the baby until the actual surgery itself, and the post operation nurses were great. Even though they deal with this everyday they still understood how hard it is to be a parent of a child in surgery. We took the baby home and by 12 noon she was totally FINE. Very little effects from the anesthesia at all. We did go back to Dr. Grilli for custom made ear plugs a few months later. I can't remember the name of the doctor who made them for us, but she was great with the baby. We had the custom made ear plugs done in less than an hour and ready to use. In her second d year of life she only had 2 ear infections-tubes worked!

I've been searching for real help for over 10 years, and I don't say this lightly when I say that…read moremeeting Carina O'Neill truly changed something in me. Over the years, I've seen countless doctors, specialists, and pain clinics. I've had just about every injection you can imagine. What stood out to me before I even met her was that multiple doctors, all from different buildings and institutions, independently told me the same thing, "If anyone can help you, it's her." That alone says everything. From the moment I met Dr. O'Neill at Spaulding in Braintree, I felt something I haven't felt in a very long time... I truly felt seen. She didn't rush me. She didn't talk over me. She didn't treat me like a chart, a case, or a number. She treated me like a human being who has been carrying pain for a very long time. Her empathy was immediate and genuine. She spoke to me gently, listened fully, and truly validated everything I've been experiencing for years. The injections themselves were unlike anything I've ever had, and that's saying a lot. (I've had hundred maybe even thousands of injections over the years) She was able to inject in places no other doctor has ever addressed, areas I didn't even realize could be treated because no one else had the experience or confidence to go there. I felt relief right away, and in the days following I've noticed slow, meaningful progress, the kind of progress that brings real hope. But more than the physical relief, what has stayed with me is knowing that she truly cares. I can tell that no matter what, she will do everything in her power to help me. That kind of care is rare. After a decade of feeling dismissed, minimized, or overlooked, she made me feel like a person again. I now completely understand why she's talked about the way she is, why doctors across New England know her name, and why she's the one they send their hardest cases to. One visit was enough to see it clearly. Carina O'Neill is extraordinary. Without question, Carina O'Neill has put Spaulding Rehabilitation in Braintree on the map. I am beyond grateful I found my way to her, and for the first time in years, I feel hopeful.

Full disclosure: this review is about Donna VanHelene, 0T (occupational therapist) at Spaulding…read morerehabilitation. Donna designs, crates and fits custom, silver ring splints. These help people with a CTD, connective tissue disorder, like my Hypermobile Ehlers Danlos Syndrome. They prevent my fingers from hyperextending and eventually dislocating. Donna VanHelene has the knowledge, skill and patience to design each custom finger brace with the TLC it needs. Then, during follow up visits, she will adjust and refit the custom hand braces as needed. THE DEAL: If you have a CTD, like me, Donna can help address, and hopefully reduce, pain in your hands and wrists!

I called ahead to see if I could walk in around 6pm on a weekday for symptoms of strep throat/sore…read morethroat. I was informed I didn't so I quickly made my way over. The young lady on the phone was pleasant and friendly. However, when I got there, there were two young ladies at the desk who looked at me like I had 10 heads. Neither one welcomed me or said a word to me until I said something first. They both seemed so bothered. Overall the front desk staff was not friendly nor were they clear with their directions. The waiting area was clean and tidy. Seemed like I was the only one there. I didn't wait for long. I filled out the form and waited maybe 5 minutes and the MA, I believe her name was Maddison? Starts with an M. She was super friendly and easy going. She definitely knows the area well. I recently moved to the area and didn't have a pharmacy in mind. She quickly asked where I moved to and immediately suggested a cvs pharmacy I am familiar with 5 minutes from me. Shortly after she took my rapid strep test, the provider was in in less than 10 minutes. Dr. Paul Paganelli-- he was amazing! He listened to all my concerns and was super personal. He prescribed me antibiotics and I was on my way!! He made sure to walk me out and quickly sent the orders to my pharmacy. On my way to pharmacy, I received a text saying my prescription was ready for pick up! Amazing back end staff who truly cares.

I would not recommend this urgent care to anyone…read more I came in with a finger infection requiring drainage and left with an allergic reaction that has now lasted days, caused by a prescription the doctor should never have written. When I disclosed a medicine allergy, the doctor acknowledged it, asked what happens, and I told him, a rash. He then prescribed a medication that is in the same antibiotic family. He provided zero explanation for this decision and zero warning about what to watch for if I reacted. I only learned about the cross risk from the pharmacist the next day, but said as long as it was addressed by doctoe it should be fine. I subsequently developed a significant allergic reaction with painful oral lesions and lip swelling. Beyond the prescription issue, the doctor spent about 7 minutes with me total, clearly rushing to leave before closing. He told me he was sending my prescription to a specific 24 hr pharmacy... except he sent it to the wrong one, sending me on an unnecessary trip at night while in significant pain. The drainage he performed was also incomplete, requiring a hand specialist visit the following morning to properly treat what turned out to be a confirmed finger felon. The only thing he did correctly was write a referral to a hand specialist. Everything else was negligent, rushed, and caused me direct harm. But hey, at least he made it home in time. To the owner who likes to pop up in the reviews to defend their staff: I've seen your responses, and I'm not interested. Don't bother. No amount of "we take patient concerns seriously" copy paste is going to unswell my lips or give me back the days I've spent unable to speak, eat or drink without feeling immense pain. Save the PR response for someone who might believe it.
