I told the massage therapist that I had really aggravated my post concussion symptoms, so she thought a good idea would be applying pressure to the middle of my head and massaging that area. Not a good idea as it caused much further aggravation. I told my chiropractor, regular massage therapist, and family doctor what happened, and they were just absolutely baffled why a therapist would do that to a post concussion syndrome client and confirmed that this has what led to a major setback for me. I informed the office of what happened but no response. I'm sure this place is OK for relaxation massages but don't make the same mistake I did and come here for more serious muscular and nerve issues.

I was skeptical of Massage Therapists because the ones that I had treatment from in the past were not proficient enough to assist me with rectifying my injuries and conditions, and let's say they didn't give forth a great effort. The RMT's at The Treatment Room actually care about your health, they are constantly improving because they care about the patients and their practice. Every visit you will have the same consistency of care (100 percent effort). The rooms are clean with calming decor and the RMT's are as professional as it gets. I recently moved to Edmonton Alberta 2 years ago and I am still looking at trying to find a RMT practice that even comes close to The Treatment Room. You will not find a better practice out there.

I admit to having fallen asleep or into a trancelike state somewhere mid-way through my massage. Massage Addict offers up a membership program that allows for 1 massage/month and from what I understand a lot of flexibility. Their 'perks' are better (more clearly) outlined than the local competition (and I researched before going for my trial). I'm a fan. The facilities were clean, I was kept warm under blankets and there was a heating pad involved. The music was very ambient - piano jazz I think at one point. The therapist should cover whole of your body and concentrate on your pain points. Massage should have a relaxing effect and an instant relief in body-aches. I don't like therapist talking constantly during message. The massage pressure should be controlled either hard or gentle, but I hate when you ask for a hard massage and therapist just elbow your back for whole of the time. So Kelly's spa met all my expectations without saying. The therapist are professional and they will understand your pain area and cover your whole body from head to toe including hand and legs, giving a special treatment to your pain area, for me it was shoulders and neck. The therapist also applied soothing balm, which gave me more relief. I felt like sleeping on the table. There is nothing to complain about. Totally worth the money, infact the place is reasonably priced or say a steal-deal, compared to other useless spas.

I have been a regular at the Step Up Adelaide location, but have been going to Step Up St. Clair as it was a much more convenient location for me. I had Christina as my Registered Massage Therapist at Step Up St. Clair location. I let her know of my concerns and my experiences with RMTs in the past. She was attentive and professional. She was able to alleviate my low back pain after a few sessions. She also provided with great techniques to help decrease moderate headaches (in addition to the head massages that has helped to significantly decreases the headache occurrences). Their online booking system is easy to navigate. The best thing about this place is the having the availability of morning to night - which helps me as a health care professional given the odd working hours. These guys will go above and beyond for you, which is all I can ask for as a consumer. I highly recommend this place! My last experience with the other massage therapist was horrible, she had no idea about actual massage therapy seems like she was not expert at her field. i specifically told her y i am here what needs to be done but the whole time she was giving me relaxing body massage other then doing the actually thing to ease my pain. unfortunately Anna was not working that day and was stuck with inexperienced therapist and not knowing at all about the real massage therapy, i had to interrupt her couple of time and she kept saying she is coming onto that and wasted my time and money to get the useless thing done. this place is running by lack of knowledge people and the therapists. (which i doubt they are really registered therapist) since Anna is not there anymore i would not put step into this business anymore.
