Aaaaaaahmazing. That was us exhaling after our uber-relaxing massages. I wanted to book a couples massage for my anniversary and couldn't decide between the deal on their website ($150 for a 90-minute couples massage) or the Groupon ($99 M-T, $125 any other day for 60 minute couples). I called and talked to Charles, who was so pleasant and explained my options. An extra 30 minutes for each of us for just $25 more? Done. $150 for 90 minutes for the two of us. He even called to let me know they had an earlier appointment ready and emailed me all the confirmations and information. Excellent customer service. Their space is clean, understated, and relaxing. To top it off, Charles, Mari and Aisha were all so sweet. They made us comfortable right away. I had Aisha and Mari massaged my boyfriend. It was his first, but he was hooked by the end. Amazing all around. We agreed that we both had the perfect amount of pressure, attention in all the right places, and we were thoroughly relaxed, with a little help from the heated tables. And now I have to tell you what Aisha did. That woman is an artist. On my information sheet I told them I have knots in my shoulders, which are a source of daily pain for me. The way she went after them was amazing - gently finding them and then working them out with quick, but perfectly soft movements. I could feel the knots disintegrating, but I never felt tense pain or discomfort. My muscles didn't feel overworked at all. We both walked out of there with dopey grins feeling like putty. This was not my first time at Massage by Mari but it will absolutely be my last. Customer service was awful by the people at the front desk. The "Groupon" offer that is suppose to help you get a deal is actually a scam since we were charged an additional $40 after paying ($99) for the Groupon. They even had a deal going on this day that was $120 for a Swedish Couples Massage but would not even consider saving me $20 and insisted I pay $40 for the massage on top of $99 & leaving a tip. Easy to say I will spend my money elsewhere. Some people just make you laugh with how powerful they think they are. Mary you were great the last time I had you but you need new employees or at least make sure they take a customer service class. If I could give this a rating lower than 1 I would have. read more

I've gone back a few times since then, because she continues to have really excellent Buy-One-Get-One deals, but haven't had her personally, and the quality of the other massage therapists is hit or miss. read more

I have been here twice and left satisfied both times. I have some seriously large knots in my neck and shoulders and both Mari and Emily were attentive and gave me what I needed as a client. Some massage parlors have a set length of time they spend on each part of your body regardless of your need. THIS IS NOT THAT! Emily spoke with me before my massage and really listened to where my pain was and what I wanted out of this experience, and she actually paid attention to where I wanted work. She checked in with me to gauge if the pressure was right and if I wanted a break in that area. Throughout the massage I felt pampered and relaxed, and better than that, when I left MY NECK DIDN'T HURT ANYMORE. The décor and mood feels elegant and expensive, while the people are incredibly professional and down to earth. I would recommend this place to anyone. Thank you massage Mari for reaching out to me in regards to this matter. My friend and I both tried to express our concerns about the groupon during our visit that day. We probably spent a good 10 minutes or so on this matter with one of the owner (a male). We got the same results as with this review. There was no resolution but only a justification. I had changed the rating on my initial review because after some time has passed, I just couldn't get pass the terrible customer service I received that day. It's just unfortunate that I really did love the place and massage but I just felt that the owner could have done more for the inconvenience of the misleading information. The fees charged was correct; $25 for one deep tissue and $26 for the any day massage. I chose to pay extra to get a deep tissue but my friend only got the Swedish. I feel as a customer that if an owner admit fault,(which you did) he/she should be the one to make it right. Nonetheless, All I received was you justifying the groupon and that you thought it was the clients responsibility to call and ask. read more
