The lady at the front desk informed me there was no one available unless I had an appointment. I was bummed but made sure to book an appointment at 2pm today. I was led to an ottoman type recliner in an open room. I was a bit uncomfortable with this as I could see the person next to me as I hung my purse on the wall (even with the privacy curtains drawn). Since the door was right there, I could hear everyone coming in/leaving and every call the receptionist took. My masseuse started out a bit light handed. While it was relaxing, I'm use to deeper massages from reflexology type places as I'm always tensed. After massaging my feet, she began wiping the oil away from my skin using a hot, wet towel and a dry towel. She was a little aggressive as she scrubbed my skin. I couldn't wait for those agonizing minutes to be over. She then had me flipped over to my stomach and instructed me to remove my top. Keep in mind, this is an open area where I had neighbors on both side separated by a curtain. Anyone coming in could easily see as they walked by the open area. I quickly removed my top and she went I work. She began tugging at my shorts trying to push them down. I thought after ignoring her, she would just move on but she was determined to get them out of the way. This made me even more uncomfortable in the open area. The time she spent tugging at my shorts seemed to be longer than the actual back rub itself. I was really disappointed as my back is really in knots. I'll stick to my usual places (Foot Spa, Phoenix Foot Spa & Happy Feet) where there are more private areas and relaxing back massages. The masseuses there would never yell out twice to the receptionist the phone is ringing during a massage.
