When I called for appointment- they never asked my name . When I arrived they tried to get me to do 90 min but never asked what type of pressure or what type of massage I wanted. The masseuse never spoke to me and used her fingers along my fascia and my shoulder and knee joints- very uncomfortable and painful. The next day I had multiple bruises I am an athlete and have been getting massages for more than 40 years. This was the worst. When I was paying I asked the receptionist about types of massages- all She did was laugh and said " I forgot to ask you" I will not return. They have a lot of work to do. read more

I'm disappointed to be writing this review. After having an amazing back massage yesterday, I decided to go back today for a foot massage. It's been a little while and I woke up this morning with my feet hurting. I walked into the building at 3:17 PM. I chose a 30 minute reflexology massage was shown to my chair. The therapist quickly brought the bathwater and let my feet soak for about 3 min minutes before drying them off and checking the clock to begin the 30 minute service at 3:22 PM. Much to my surprise and disappointment, at 3:43, the desk attendant interrupted my massage and sent the therapist to another room for another customer. She then applied hot towels as though the massage was over, but then began to weakly massage my feet again once it became clear there was a problem. At some point, I simply decided to stop the service and I made it evidently clear that I knew what happened and that did not like it. She still proceeded to charge me the full price although I only had a 20 minute massage and offered no solutions or apology. While there was a language and cultural barrier, she clearly understood the problem and was embarrassed at my stating her actions were inappropriate. BEWARE of these types of micro-aggressions, and I hope this review encourages the manager to be more ethical in their transactions. read more

This is not the experience for everyone, but when it comes to a great massage -- this place is truly magic. Sometimes what you need is a spa day, with fancy aromatherapy, soft robes, luxurious linens, and a steam room. Other times, you need someone to use their elbow to get a knot out of your back. This place is more along the lines of the latter. So far, I've been here three or four times for a full-body massage (haven't tried foot massage only just yet). This place is not for those that are scared off by minimalism: you get a regular towel to cover yourself up with and a paper towel to keep the face pillow clean. The table is not heated and there's no eucalyptus in the air. But wow... the massage is SO good. I always leave here feeling relieved of pain. They aren't afraid of pressure -- my kind of therapists! But recently I came in because I had thrown my back out (a sign of getting older) and asked for medium pressure. Massage was great and I left walking tall. Prepare yourself for some differences from US massages: there will be some manual stretching of your body, and your ears may get massaged. It's all a part of the charm. If your'e lucky, the masseuse will hop up on the table and use their knees and full body weight against your weary body. For $55/hr, it cannot be beat. Plus - I'm usually able to call same day and get an appointment for a few hours later. What pushes this place to five whole stars? My husband said it's the "best massage I've ever had" - and he's REALLY picky. It will be worth your while to try it out! read more

I randomly drove by this place and decided to stop in. They have different packages, and the one I got was the 45 min foot/15 min back massage for $30. I'm not a fan of weak massages, and this lady did a fantastic job. The pressure was good on my feet, and she nearly murdered my back. It was good though. I'll definitely return. read more

This is not the place for those seeking the frills that go along with the high overhead spas, but it is for those who are looking for a great price on a great massage. I have been going to Magic Relax for over 3 years now, and have probably put at least 700+ hours of massage on the books for Susan (the owner) I have never had a bad experience, and this is not the only place I go in Dallas on a weekly basis, for the purpose of comparison. Whether it's Tina, Manny, Mae, Salena, or Snow, (I have had several hours of massage with all of them) they are all some of the nicest, and most skilled massage therapists you will experience. Susan has always done her best to accommodate me, even when I walk in without an appointment. Not all of the girls speak good English, but does that really matter? ZERO STARS. Worst massage/very stressful Unrelaxing experience ever! Been to Magic Relax Spa a half dozen times or so over the years. With exception of 2 times, always excellent outstanding service each time. 1st bad time Dec '22: Owner's husband gave watered rub down rubbing only, not a professional massage, hands smelled of strong garlic/curry, snorting, coughing entire time. Owner Susan's excuse he had 'allergies' but didn't explain dirty smelly hands. Gave him a break, let it go along w my hard earned $75 due to prior excellent experiences from other massage therapists. 2nd bad time July '23: Paired up again w same dirty snorting man. Blame myself for not requesting someone else. Don't what I was thinking. Surprisingly there were 2 men on cellphones in main massage room. First time I've ever witnessed anyone on their cellphones, much less it being allowed. One dude loudly announced halfway through everyone's massages that if he coughed to know "it's allergies and not Covid" Really? Wtf! Another answered cell to have a brief talk. A staff member entered making loud noises w air purifier machine banging pressing buttons, further disruption. Susan's husband man "rubbing" my back, reeked of strong BO this time, overly hot hands smelled of food & loud snorting noises entire time started to creep me out. His watered 'rub-down' was so bad it made me question if he was even a licensed, or filled in to rub a customer down when other therapists were booked up yet charging the same price. Totally disgusting stressful experience. Avoid him like the plaque! Short massages in main room w/other patrons is totally acceptable & expected, since private rooms reserved for full body massages. However talking and cell phone use is NOT acceptable ever during a massage in a NON-private room disrupting other customer massages. First time EVER have I witnessed cell phone conversations allowed in a Massage Spa! Halfway through massage, one dude answered his phone after loud ringing, talked briefly then ended conversation. WTF!? When I complained to Susan at front desk afterward of all that occurred during my massage, instead of apologizing, she surprisingly stated in very angry rude tone, "It's a Free Country!!! "Cell phones okay!!" Really??? O-M-G! Zero apologies &/ or offer from Susan owner to make things right, hence I immediately left a ZERO tip in return with No Future Business. Before walking out, calmly reminded Susan - massage salons I've ever experienced which are many, not only prohibit cell phone conversations, but some will even post signs to minimize noise in areas near or inside the massage rooms to provide patrons a relaxing tranquil experience THAT THEY PAY FOR AND EXPECT. This spa used to be extremely quiet tranquil & very relaxing environment for a massages. No expensive frills, but excellent massage therapists (except her husband) w reasonable prices. Told Susan her rude angry attitude towards a patron + not enforcing the silencing of cell phones, like other massage businesses, that her shop is fired, & will no longer having my business. Not worth spending hard earned money on an unappreciative owner who now allows cellphone use, talking during massages & permitting smelly man to charge for a massage who gives a rubdown at best. Lots of competitor massage salons offering no frills reasonable massages in a huge city like Dallas to choose from, and many offering specials. No reason to pay money to this spa that's headed downhill. Susan doesn't get it, missing the entire point. She must be extremely desperate for customers to allow cell phone conversations and talking from patrons. Yet she doesn't realize she is deterring future business at the same time. First time last Saturday and I got the 30 minute foot with 60 minute full body. Wow! It was incredible. The masseuse asked what pressure I wanted and I said hard. She did not disappoint and got the knots and tightness out. How I know it was great is when I become completely like jello. I usually go down the street to get massage, but since this is right by my house and so wonderful, I'll be coming here from now on. read more

so I took Reba's advice and went to Magic Relax Spa after work one day since it's on my way home, it was quiet no one was there funny thing it's right next to my dentist lol...never paid attention. the lady was friendly took me back to the room $55/hr for the full body she asked what lvl I told her medium pressure and she confirmed it with me several times at diff. places with knots on my back...which I told her ok or harder...she was pretty good got most of my knots out on the shoulders I'd probably visit again since it's so close to my work! solid 4 stars! read more
