I didn't do my homework... and realize that I would be going to Mia's house for a massage. i arrived 5 minutes early and no one answered the doorbell.. so I knocked on the door.. no answer. waited the 5 minutes until my scheduled appointment and knocked again. I went to Mia for back issues. Wasn't bouncing back as fast as I normally do when my back goes out. Massage Heights didn't cut it last time.. so I signed up for Mia to see what she could do.. she runs her business from her home.. no biggie there. The actual dedicated massage room was nice and clutter free..mood setting I would say.. but you have to walk through her house to get to the massage room. Seemed like she didn't know I was coming. Lol. And the bathroom could have been 5 times cleaner. So that is the setting. Mia was either really quiet, like I like, or language is a thing..like English as a second language kinda a thing. Again no biggie. Let's get down to the massage..very relaxing.. so relaxing I might have drifted off a tiny bit for a quick nap. Seemed like the hour went quick, probably because of the closing my eyes thing. Lol. She worked the area I said was bothering well. She did it at the perfect amount of pressure. But the entire hour I was on my stomach. And she didn't hit my arms at all..Can't really call it a body massage if you leave over 50% out. Mia is a highly skilled masseuse. I booked online, had no idea what to expect. The place itself is a bit strange - her office is inside an office building and it is just a single room. Mia herself is a bit awkward (in a nice way, a little shy), by my goodness her hands were magic. I left feeling like a new person, and enjoyed it so much I even booked another massage less than a week later, haha! I recommend fully disrobing, as it is more comfortable. Mia also gets every part of the body, and focuses on areas you ask her to focus on. I had some lower back and glute soreness, and was impressed at her focus on these areas. She also hit the glutes unlike many other places I have been, where they sort-of ignore the area or at least don't do a very good job on it. Great deep tissue massage. Booked appointment online without issue. Nice environment. Heated massage table. I'm visiting from out of town and the office building was a bit hard to find via my navigation. It sits back off the road so it is hard to see. It is across the street from a Kum N Go, but the access is not directly across the street. I drove past looking for it, but was able to find it from the side street. Mia met me at the door. Well worth trying for the $35 deal. I would have been happy paying full price-wish I had booked an hour and a half! Will be the 1st person I try to book with when in town. read more
