Firstly, you will come out in an altered state. I recommend drinking water beforehand & having a glass of water afterwards. The handiwork of those working genuinely changed my life. My mom actually visits here often, and every year I find myself visiting to get a gift card, well, my husband and I came in to get massages & I now understand her love for this place. I actually really enjoyed this foot spa massage parlor. I stopped by while visit Des Moines with my husband. We both did 70 minute combo massage and wow.. it felt so good. My husband felt "10 years younger" (lol he's funny). They have Apple Pay which is nice. The prices are fair and I really enjoy the curtain separations? Very pretty and adds a little "privacy". This place isn't for wussy's! If you want a "pampered princess" massage...you and your wallet better keep on moving. If you want an on-the-fly massage that charges a fair price and does it's job, this is your place! I love that it is walk-in, no appointment needed. Clothes stay on, so it's....lay here and let's get started! If you opt for a foot massage, your feet are placed in warm/hot water while your upper body is massaged. So relaxing! There are sheer curtains between tables, but it does offer a bit of privacy. You can usually hear other snoring, so they must be enjoying their massage, too! Wear loose clothing and shorts to get the full massage effect. Usually deep pressure is applied, so they will need to know if they should lighten up. I am usually a little sore for a few days afterwards, but it's a good sore! Highly recommend! read more

I was given a Groupon to visit China Foot Reflexology. I called the number for the location on the groupon which was the Douglas location. The person who answered the phone was short and distracted. I was able to confirm that I was going to set up an appointment time and such.... when I arrived at the location on Douglas there were signs on the door that they were closed. The sign stated that someone had practiced without a license. So I called the number on the groupon. She answered.... said that she forgot to tell me that the location on Douglas was closed. So I rescheduled for the other location. So. The other location. I arrived for my appointment. I was escorted back to a space where I could lay down and relax. I saw others around me through the "privacy sheer drapes." I relaxed and was able to close my eyes and have my feet and legs massaged. It was a really nice and enjoyed it. People around me were also relaxed. So much so that I could hear someone snoring. I think the massage was great pressure, and for 30 min she also massaged legs and hands. So it was worth the time. Chinese Reflexology Foot Massage is great. However, my son and I visited their new location on Douglas in Urbandale. We both got the 30 minute foot and a 30 minute back package. The price is right (we used a Groupon) and the massage was on point. They used a lot of pressure, which I enjoy. He really worked my lower back around my spine. Great place and a great price. I see these at big cities and was hoping Des Moines Iowa would get one. This is not your typical massage you get at an American place but different. I actually prefer this more and it is cheaper. You can get foot massage for $30 which includes back as well or a combination that also does your head and face as well that is $40. Both are great and worth a try. You actually get a full hour too not like American places that make you wait for 5 min and kick you 5 min early and consider that an hour on top of charging you double what this place charges. Good overall massage! Some things to know is no private rooms, all rooms are connected by a see through curtain, which is sorta ok because all massages are done with clothes on. Sometimes it can be annoying if other people around you are being loud or walking back and forth, When you get a hot stone massage they will only do it on your legs. read more

I went to this place 3 times with my fiancé. First 2 times were ok, except for my fiancé complained that his guy's hands smelled like onion. But the last time we went my guy was sneezing and coughing the whole one hour that I got a massage. What do you know, 2 days later I got sick with flu, presuming I got it from him since I was off from work for 4 days and barely got out of the house at all. Onion smell l can deal wit but letting sick people work who spread the disease... makes me question their work ethics and how clean the place actually is. They are pretty hard core on massaging certain areas so you'll def feel some pain and pinches here and there but they really work through all your knots. I've had Chinese foot massage in other cities. This was very comparable to my other experiences. The only reason that I didn't give them a 5 star was because of price. Most Chinese foot massage do the feet back arms etc. for 30$. This place charges an extra 10 for the back. That being said, I was very happy. The environment was clean and very relaxing. read more

I recently got the combo and my massage person smelled as if he just ate a ton of garlic. Also I've had a massage person that smokes so his hands smelled horrible!
