Dr. Weidner is AWESOME! You must book a flight or load up your car, because whether flying or driving it's worth the trip to Utah. After buying a new car, I was itching for a massage chair AND a road trip! I packed up my cute little roadster and drove the 6hr ride to Taylorsville, UT. (Near Salt Lake) I left on Sunday morning and arrived in UT at 1030am. It was a beautiful ride and the weather was really nice. The people up there were super friendly too. Unlike here, everyone waved at me--just because. Haha. I stayed at the Extended Stay America. The rooms were remodeled and really cozy with full functioning kitchens. My appointment with Dr.W was Monday at 8am and after getting a bit lost I found his store. It was filled with 14 very different massage chairs. Now why would I drive all the way to Utah for a massage chair? Bc massage chairs are expensive and you can't just buy the first one you sit in at Brookstone! From 8:00-1200, Dr.W. had me sit in every massage chair and as I closed my eyes to relax some chairs were too strong, too weak, not comfy, or just didn't have preset programs I enjoyed. As we sat in chair after chair Dr. W. and I talked for hours about things, life, and various other general topics and by 12pm it was time for lunch. Dr. W. asked me what my favorite kind of food was and he took me to lunch at a Chinese buffet. The food was yummy! When we got back to the store I had narrowed it down to 3 massage chairs. I continued to jump from one to the other as I was undecided. Dr.W. never rushed me. He was patient and left me alone to make my final decision. I wanted to be 100% happy with my choice. Finally at 2:30pm I settled on a INFINITY 8500 series with zero gravity tilt that gives you the feeling you're taking off into space toward a relaxing, peaceful, outer body experience equipped with speakers for your music. I didn't have a chance to meet his wife, but I don't doubt she is just as lovely! Dr. W. invited me back to visit anytime and hated to see me leave so soon. I hated to leave too bc I felt like part of the family after one day! I went back to my hotel and just relaxed and decided I would return home the next morning. My chair finally arrived a week later and Dr. W. sent me a box of his favorite yummy TOFFIFAY chocolates as a thank you. Ironically those are mine too! At home, I enjoy this chair very much and find myself passed out in bliss once I hit the start button. I totally recommend taking the trip to Utah to see first hand what customer service really is. I ordered the Infinity IT 8500 from this company and it came to me quickly and in good condition. The chair has some wonderful features, especially the stretch feature which pulls your feet, stretching your spine and feels absolutely fantastic, especially if you have lower back issues. The mechanics inside the chair are great, and the chair is one of the better looking of these types of chairs (I got taupe, which is medium grey) however the electronic controller is frustrating and confusing to figure out. The instruction manual is very brief and written poorly. I did eventually figure most of it out, though after a month I'm still kinda of learning how to set it. The most annoying thing about it is, the chair wants to keep sitting you upright when it should just leave you laying back. In the stretch program I have to hold the controller in my lap so I can put the chair right back into reclining position after it sits me up. Silly! Also the controller beeps every time you do anything and this is annoying -- I had to shut that off which was a bit tricky. I also have an override timer that I have the chair plugged into, so that it doesn't do its "return to upright position" and wake me up when the program is done. You will need a pillow, because the rollers on the upper back are pretty brutal. Also, the air bags on the feet take some getting used to. I found them painful for about three weeks. Now I'm getting to like it though. All in all, I'm enjoying the chair. It will relax you and often put you to sleep. I tried out a lot of chairs and this was the best one in my opinion for the stretching mechanism. To not get this "stretch action" which most of them don't have, would be to miss out on the best aspect of one of these chairs. read more

The warranty is real! I purchased a massage chair from the online store 3 years ago. At the time, I had seen some chairs at Costco, and planned to buy one from Costco until I saw better selection on this website. I purchased an Ogawa Refresh chair sight unseen (except for web reviews). At the time of purchase, a lifetime labor warranty was included from the store. I assumed this would be of little use (I have not had good experience with warranties from other stores). Fast forward to 2019, the shoulders of the chair became disconnected. I contacted Dr. Weidner, and he was exceedingly helpful. He had the cost of the repair invoiced directly to him, so I never even saw a bill. I don't write reviews. I guess I'm lazy. But I'm going to make an exception here because I'm very impressed with Massage Chair Relief. One day my dog, who is half monster, pulled my back out while taking me for a walk. A friend of mine just happened to have gotten a massage chair from somewhere--I couldn't tell you where--and let me take a "ride." I pulled myself out of the chair and instantly fell asleep on their couch. Half an hour later I took another "ride," and fell asleep for another hour. I thought, "You know, these things actually work." Thus began my quest for the perfect chair, which if you've ever been in my place, you know is basically impossible. I live in the middle of nowhere, and there isn't a retailer within a thousand miles of me. So what to do? Go online, right? Get opinions from others who have gone before me! Seemed simple. Go to Amazon, and see what others say. Well, there was one chair that really stood out. It seemed to have more positive reviews than all the others combined. But when I called them for a little information I got the "used car" high pressure sales pitch. You know, that special price that's only available if you give them your credit card number !!right now!! So I did a little more research and realized no one had anything good to say about them, except them apparently. So much for trusting reviews. The next step was a very exhaustive Internet research of massage chairs. The one thing that really stood out was this is really complicated. But finally I picked the perfect chair, and then all I needed was a perfect price. So I called all those vendors on Google. You know, the ones with the ads on top. In fact, there were 100's of these, and they were frankly much more informative and detailed than all that other Internet research I had done. When the folks I had "bought" a chair from handed me another delay, I decided to give Massage Chair Relief a call, just to see. A fellow named Michael answered. At the end of our chat, he gave me a price that was lower, in fact much lower, than the ridiculously low price I already had. If it was just a lower price I wouldn't be writing. But they offered a lot more. A much better return policy. A lifetime free labor repair service. People who actually sounded like they knew what they were talking about. An actual store front (listen, many of their competitors are actually selling chairs out of their garages--at least that's what their physical business addresses suggest--and there's nothing wrong with that, but it's not the same). So I switched, and I'm very happy I did. After making the deal, they sent me ... I'll just say gifts, useful things to make my chair a better experience. And after the fact, they continued to show that having a satisfied customer was much more important than having a sale. I'm not writing this to help Dr. Alan Weidner, whom I've never met, or Massage Chair Relief, that I've never visited. I'm writing this review for the unlucky soul who may find himself on that same road as me, with an aching back looking for relief but not knowing quite where to turn. I found Massage Chair Relief to be an Oasis in the wasteland where massage chairs live, and trust me, if you've spent as much time as I did searching for the perfect chair and the perfect retailer, you know it's truly a wasteland.
