I was okay with this business at first. I am a traveling health care professional and signed up for a limited 6 month contract. Availably for deep tissue massage was very limited. I was understanding of this because Billings, MT is a relatively a small community. My problem with Massage Envy in Billings, Mt is that I cannot Stop my membership. They are telling me it auto renews after initial contract period is complete. I have contacted the Billings repeatedly and they assure me it will be canceled. 4 months later and I am still being charged! Today they told me they are under all new management. The massage was good (therapist Stacy, strong hands), the rest was very disappointing. I went in for my first massage here with a gift card on a Sunday. Intro price for a one hour massage (amounted to 46 minutes of hands-on time, to be exact) is $55, the gift card I was given was for $65. When it was over, I asked that the remainder on the card be added to the tip. Emily at the front desk told me that the gift card only had $55 on it. I showed her the sleeve that it came in, with their written "$65" on it, she responded with, "Weird. Yeah we go off of the computer, not what that says." I asked again why they would write 65 if it wasn't for that, she didn't know. There was another girl at the front desk, she didn't say anything. Then Emily tried to sell me a membership, and maybe one for my boyfriend, too. I left, and had the person that gave me the gift card check their bank account, which showed the transaction to be $65. I called Massage Envy, they said they needed to call me back. About 20 minutes later, they called and said that it was in fact for 65, and that they could just add it to the tip. I asked to take care of it another day so that I could speak to a manager before leaving this review. I called and spoke with a manager on Monday, she mumbled through her name so I asked again, she mumbled through it again so I'm not sure what her name is. She interrupted me about four words in to say, "yeah we figured it out so we're all good." I asked her if she understood why it's concerning that I had to fight for $10 and then prove it before they would honor my gift cards value, and she responded by saying that she can't teach new people everything before they start. She asked if there was something I wanted, and I said I simply wanted to get a managers input before leaving this review. I said I would like the remaining $10 to go to Stacy, and she informed me that she had already given it to her, anticipating that's what I wanted done. First time going coming here, was not disappointed, the customer service at the front desk was great, atmosphere was calm and relaxed, massage was fantastic. Wasn't pressured into getting a membership. I was asked about scheduling another visit with no pressure. Definitely worth a try and I'll come back again. read more

Although I really liked my specific massage therapist at this facility I unfortunately developed a very negative opinion of Massage Envy as a whole. I moved out of state and went through a total nightmare trying to transfer my membership (Covid didn't help with this). Long story short, it was a combination of being bounced back and forth between each locations while managers just kept directing me to the other repeatedly while no solution was ever achieved. I moved again and have 13 credits accrued that I will never be able to use due to not having a ME in my community and they will not refund credits. They just kept telling me I should make the 3 hour drive and use them. They will keep approximately $900 worth of credits I can't use but could have used if someone was better able to help me transfer my membership to begin with. Not a very customer friendly policy. I have been a Massage Envy member for about 10 years, 3 yrs here in Billings and 7yrs in Huntington Beach, CA. As with most services, it may take a bit of trial and error to find just the right therapist for you, but once you do, the health benefits from their routine massages and facials are fantastic. I currently see Angie for massages and Suzanne for facials and they are both amazing. Angie is adept at getting out muscle soreness and tension without going too far and causing more pain, which I have had a lot of issues with from other therapists in the past. Suzanne provides a wonderfully relaxing facial and is very knowledgable about the Murad line of products so she provides great recommendations for continuing home care which has really helped improve my skin. I never have any issues booking appointments for either of them, and I never have to wait for my appointment to start. The spa itself is always clean and quiet and the waiting area is a great place to shake off last minute stress before your appointment. Parking is ample and close, and the appoint reminders/confirmations from Massage Envy via text are also really convenient. The pricing for the membership is really reasonable too. I hate to give the whole place a bad review, because the clinic is very cosmetically nice, however, we all know that a great house isn't made great by the cleanliness or design--it's the people. My husband and I have been members for over 5 years. We travel a lot and as we travel we find that Massage Envy is really hit and miss on good therapists. We found 2 misses for this clinic. I asked for a moderate pressure therapist upon scheduling and I was set up with Keenan. Keenan is a light pressure, use-the-whole-bottle-of-lotion, lacks the relaxing touch kind of therapist. She asked how the pressure was 10 min into the massage and I asked her for deeper pressure, she said she'd try, but she didn't. Her tone towards me was not a customer service friendly tone. Over use of the lotion is gross, not relaxing and just shows how unskilled you are as a therapist. My husband's massage was from Katie. He asked for deep tissue and didn't get it. She was unable to deliver what he asked for too. We'll be saving our membership massages for another Massage Envy location. read more

Extremely unreliable. Can and will cancel appointments with little to no warning time and do not offer compensation for last minute cancelled appointments. Membership not worth the hassle of calling around to find another place to fill the appointment that they could not keep. read more
