I received a gift card several Christmases ago and just never had the time to go. Yesterday I called and asked for a same day appointment for a masssge. I was told Fatima was available. Great, I booked with her and she was amazing. Hands down the best massage I've had. I slept so well last night. She did a great job explaining everything to me after the massage and following up with her recommendations. The only thing that put me off was the membership thing. I'm not faulting the woman at the desk, she was just doing her job by offering the membership and she did take no for an answer after I listened to her pitch. However, I can't come back due to the cost. Without a membership my massage would be $145. I understand massages are a luxury, but that's like day spa pricing. I used to work at a local day spa and that's what they charged. Sooooo, while I'd like to treat myself maybe once every few months, I can't do it here. I also can't/don't want a membership due to time constraints. I'm off to find another local massage place that doesn't make you get a membership or pay a ridiculous amount for a massage. read more

This place is horrible! Very few good therapists and when you find one you like you can never get an appointment with them because they dont want to work nights and weekends. You literally have to call at 9 am on the 1st of the month to get an appointment outside of M-F 9-5 and then hope your appt doesn't get canceled! Mine have been cancelled 4 times in 3 months. Keep in mind I only have 1 appt usually a month so the chance of every month the therapist is sick on exactly my date is very suspect! Even the managers say this has been a problem. I received a Christmas gift to this company. Originally, the staff was friendly. However, we soon found out the lack of attention to customer service. I made an appointment that needed to be canceled due to illness. The card on file was a friend's card from the Christmas gift time -- I clearly instructed them not to charge that card on file. The charge was still made in which no responsibility was taken. Thereafter, I was told the cancelation fee would not apply if I rescheduled. I rescheduled, but within 30 minutes I call back to say I made a mistake on the time in which they decide to charge a cancelation fee. Not a very customer forward environment. Keeping a reoccurring customer is worth more than a cancelation fee just because you felt like adding it. Now you lose customers and receive pool reviews. Unfortunate for the staff that was originally friendly and professional the day we walked in as they are being overseen by other staff members. read more

But I did do it in person! Fast forward to a year later .. I went again with a gift card.. got an appointment quickly.. even had to reschedule 3 times.. again no issues or attitude from them. They reschedule me with no problem! I had a 60min facial with Kierra -- BEST facial I've ever had! I was in heaven! She is super gentle .... Put in a lot of care and effort in what she does! I've been a Massage Envy member for years and I've been to several locations. This is by far my favorite location. It's not even the closest one to me but it's become the one I choose when I need some relaxation and self care. Their quiet rooms is roomy and relaxing. They stock their amenities so that there's always tea or something to sip on. One of the reasons I love this location is the staff. The front desk staff are always welcoming and care about customer service. I've also had some wonderful massages that have been the right pressure and using the maximum of my time (as opposed to starting late and stopping early). I haven't had any issues with this location canceling on me last minute either. I want to give a special shout out for Paloma. She's quite possibly the greatest and kindest esthetician I've ever met and experienced. She will give you the best facial and become like your best friend all at the same time. She's given me some really great skincare recommendations that have really helped to improve my skin. While this place may get overlooked for their facials, I cannot recommend Massage Envy Eastvale and Paloma enough! I highly recommend this location. Be very careful doing business here. I wrote an email to the corporate office to complain, so hopefully this will get resolved. This is a copy of the email I sent: "Hello and thank you for your response. I have been a member of massage envy for many years. I signed up at the Eastvale, CA location. In 2021 I was diagnosed with cancer. In 2022, I was told I needed a note from my oncologist approving massages in order to continue to get services at this location. I provided a doctor's note and continued services. On August 15th, I had an appointment for 10:30 am. I was called at 9:30 am and told I could not get a massage without an updated letter from my oncologist. I was very disappointed they would cancel my appointment 1 hour before the scheduled time. I understand the reason Massage Envy cannot provide the services. I understand there are medical and liability issues you must address. I am okay with that. I currently have 3 hours worth of credits on my account. I asked Stacey (the manager) to cancel my membership and refund my money. My contention is that Stacey had all the information about my medical condition since 2002. She had this information when she decided I could no longer get service but continued to charge me monthly. I am sure this was an oversight and not done with any malicious intent. Stacey stated she would talk to her supervisor to get permission to return my money. She stated she would speak to her the following day. However, I did not get a call back. I called her again on August 19, and Stacey told me she had not yet spoke to her supervisor. Stacey advised me she would have an answer for me by the end of the week (August 23) as well as she would have the paperwork ready to cancel my contract. I did not hear back from her by the end of the week. I called again on August 25th and August 26th. Both times I was told Stacey was not in the office. SCAM & FRAUD!!!!.. I have been a member since Oct of 2021 I inquired about putting my payments on a freeze since I have hours accrued and not able to use at this time. My sister in law told me I could put my account on a Freeze plus plan until I catch up as she was in my same situation, we both have 7 hours accrued. I called the office on 08/23/22 and I spoke with the employee who answered at the desk to inquire about the freeze plan. Employee then said that I qualify for a Freeze Plus because i have at least 6 accrued hours. Also, I would only get charged $10 per month but that she can only put me on this plan for 2 or 3 months max!!?? I then asked why only 2 or 3 months max if I have a total of 7 hours accrued? She said, because I have 7 hours. which didn't make sense? But I went ahead and told her ok. She then said she will send me an e-mail with an attached document agreement that I had to sign and send back to her and that after they receive that it would take a 2-3 days to process so my card wouldn't get charged my normal monthly payment but the $10 fee instead. I waited around all day and I didn't receive any e-mail from her so the next day 8/24/22, I called back and now spoke to a different employee at the desk. I told her what had happened that I didn't receive the e-mail. She then said that it takes about 5-10 days before I get that email. Mind all this that my billing period always gets charged on the 14th of every month! I told her that's not what the first lady I spoke with said... this 2nd employee said that the first lady I spoke with didn't know because she was fairly new, which is odd because the first lady kept putting me on hold to get me a correct answer from what probably a manager or another employee told her to say to me. So I then asked, ok so once I get the email and I send it back, how long is the process time? She said a couple of days.. I also asked her, how long can I put my account on a Freeze? she said based on my accrued hours I can only put it on freeze for max 3 months! Wow.... so now it changed to 3 months! I asked and why not 6 months? She said because I only have 7 hours accrued. I then told her, then how many hours am I suppose to have to put in on a freeze for 6 months... she said, they only do it for customers that have 15-20 hours accrued. I told her that was ridiculous and that I wanted to speak with the manager! I then spoke the manager "Stacey" which was also not very friendly, she was rude and bitter. I explained my situation and it seemed that she already knew the reason on why I requested to speak to a manager. I told Stacey that I had called to put my account on a Freeze plus and that I never received an e-mail with the document I needed to sign, she then said that it takes 5-10 days to receive it. I told her that it was ridiculous that I had to wait that long and why was it that I get told differently every time I speak with a different person. I explained my frustration and that the reason why I don't go to their location anymore, I don't like their service and especially the customer service on the phone sucks!. They are always rude on the phone if its not about scheduling an appointment with them and never seem to know what they are doing. That's why my sister and I have switched to the Chino location even if it's another 20 minute drive. In the Chino location they are always very nice in person and on the phone, very professional and efficient as well as their massage therapists. I asked Stacey how long can I put my account on freeze? Stacey looked at my account and said 4 months max! So now it's 4 months? I told her why can't I do 6 months? She said based on my accrued hours, 4 months was the max she could do.. I then asked how many hours did I need to have accrued in order to put on freeze for 6 months? She said that the customer have to have a minimum of 6 hours accrued to be able to put on a freeze plus for up to 6 months until they catch up but they only do it when customers have 25-30 hours!!!! Wth?? So again this all doesn't make any sense because I currently have 7 hours! Frustrated and all I just told her to put it on the freeze plus for the 4 months max that she said she could only do as soon as possible because I didn't want my credit card being charged again on the 14th. She said ok and then within the next 15 minutes I received an e-mail from Massage Envy with the freeze plus agreement that supposedly takes 5-10 days to receive. As I was reading the document agreement it clearly stated that a member had to have at least 6 hours accrued in order to be put on a Freeze plus for up to 6 months until they catch up! But Stacey had put in the date when I requested the freeze and to end 4 months later. My card then would continue to get charged with normal payments right after! At this point I am furious and more frustrated that this manager along with her staff is doing this to people and not giving the service they need to be giving. read more

I've had a few massages, but this was the most refreshing one to date. Alyssa was my therapist, and she was so nice and listened to all my needs. She was very clear throughout about everything, and I felt so safe and relaxed. This was definitely the kind of pampering I need more of in my life. Hands down one of the Most unprofessional companies I've ever done business with! Canceled my membership with this location back in January 2020 (due to lack of customer service, scheduling availability, and numerous other issues), to my surprise I started to be recharged in Sept./Oct. 2020. When I contacted and asked to speak to a manager I was advised that I had just "frozen" my account. I sent a copy of my signed Cancellation and they refused to acknowledge it and rather continued to indicate that I had only "frozen" my account and indicated they had a signed copy of the "freeze" request form. Manger, Jordan and Lead, Alexis hung up on me numerous times (!!) as I attempted to get a copy of the supposed signed freeze form. Physically went down to get a copy of the form (that they refused to send me), and not only does this freeze form have noticeable "whiteout" on it but it also has dates that are clearly altered! SO EVIDENT THAT THIS IS A FRAUDULENT FORM! I've already reached out to corporate to advise of the fraudulent activity and will also be reporting to the BBB. WOULD STRONGLY RECOMMEND to anyone who has canceled a membership to make sure that you are not being recharged!
