Poor customer service and very difficult to schedule if you only have weekend availability. I have had nothing but issues with this location since moving to the area in August of 2025. Ultimately decided to cancel due to how far away the location is, the awful weekend availability, and how poor the customer service is. Several of my appointments have been cancelled with very little notice. The most recent time I received no notice and only found out after driving 30 miles. I received no apology and was provided several pieces of incorrect information. Since cancelling my membership I only have 60 days to use 4 credits and will not be able to use them due to the limited availability and the unreliability that the appointments will actually take place. The manager told me that there was nothing they could do because my membership was not with their location. No apology and no attempt to rectify the situation. I then received an extremely awkward and unprofessional phone call from the COO of Massage Envy in the state of Oregon. She asked how my day was, but apparently didn't want the real answer. I had to ask who she was because she never introduced herself or gave her title. There also didn't seem to be a point to the conversation as there wasn't anything she could do for my situation either. If you have to go to this location, good luck. read more

I cancelled my membership because my appts kept getting cancelled due to staff issues, I had one of the staff fart (multiple separate times) throughout my massage and they did not tell me your credits expire, so the took my money without offering a service for it after 60 days. don't waste your time of money- there are so many other massage places in town that are kinder, better and WAAAAY more affordable! read more

I have been a ME member for years. The therapists have been pretty great! The bad review is for being ripped off with payments. I had service yesterday and for no known reason the receptionists could find who or why my membership had been canceled. It changed price of massage by $50 and I could not cancel without being changed full price! She said she could not find who or why membership was cancel but she could not do anything. I was not going to argue with her as she could not figure out the problem but also did not offer to look into how or why the problem happened. d BAD SERVICE! Convenient location, easy to park and away from the hustle and bustle of Portland or Salem. If you are a massage envy member, switch over your membership to this place. It's only $60 per visit. We are members in orange county California and I've been to massage envy's all over the states. Most of them are $70-$80 per massage. I had Susan as a therapist and she was great. Did a 90 minute session. They have a nice relaxation room with a great selection of Herb tees and of course green teas. This place is located in a open mall type of place as most massage envy's are. I sent my son a gift card to use in the National City location in San Diego, where they told him he had to sign a consent form. This form turned out to be a contract for membership, which he didn't want couldn't use, because of his work and scheduling. He only went the once, because of his work schedule, and ended up terminating it here, less than 6 months later, when he moved back to Oregon. Loosing $400 because he was told he would have to deal with the ME in SD, I can't believe how badly this was handled! Ridiculous!! We have been massage envy customers for over ten years and not since moving to Keizer have we ever experienced such terrible customer service!! It's not bad enough that their employee turnover is constant so even finding a LMT that knows what they are doing and do it well, they alway move on to greener pastures, not that we don't blame them but trying to get even a call back to reschedule someone else, is nearly impossible and extremely frustrating no matter how many messages and emails you send!! I had 3 gift massages and utilized this location as it was the closest living in Independence, OR. The location is nice and is easy to find and there's good parking. I saw 3 different therapists: Dustin (firm), Trisha (firm), and Benjamin (medium). All offered good things. Dustin was fantastic at working out kinks and released a lot of tension and stress but he was a bit impersonal when we saw each other again in the lobby he didn't respond back when I said hello. Trisha worked my glutes out so strongly I almost tapped out. Benjamin was the most welcoming and had kind energy. He worked wonders with my neck. The front ladies were alright, all dressing very fancy. I would like to say I enjoyed Lydia's welcoming energy, I hope you get to experience her. Im grateful they didn't push the extra add ins or a gratuity. (But definitely leave a tip). I'm giving it a three because the massages were good, the staff were alright, but there wasn't anything particularly special. read more

So I'm getting a little discouraged and annoyed. Three times now I've received phone calls from this location of Massage Envy, telling me that the therapist I've scheduled time for (one, Summer, I'm extremely upset about, because she was the best massage therapist I've ever experienced in my life) has left the business and they need to reschedule me with a new, unknown person. That makes so many times I have to spend five to ten minutes explaining what I'm looking to achieve. And a new method of providing a massage. Unknown whether it will be soothing, jarring, relaxing or painful. I guess there are two things at play here. Either the people who are really, really good find positions on their own or at another massage parlor that pays better/better hours/whatever, or else the management here drives away good people. I honestly don't know, because I don't know who the managers are. I just know that if I schedule an appointment again with a specific therapist, and I have to readjust my schedule (with no consolation prize given, no free time, not even really an apology for messing up my schedule), I'll probably just use up the rest of my banked massage time and quit my account. This was a gift from my wife that went sideways fast. The massage therapist was off from the beginning and apparently said something to the front desk because they caught mad attitude with me and got super snippy. I feel like I wasted my wife's money, and she is so unhappy the gift and the service I received. Totally horrible experience for a first time customer. I'm not sure if they stereotyped me because of what I was wearing (jeans and flannel shirt) but the first words out of my therapists mouth was "This is my customer?" with a snippy tone. I was an LMT. I worked at this Massage Envy. To be fair, it was in 2010. So I can only speak to my experience at that time. But most of the therapists, me included, were hired right out of school. So as soon as they'd gotten some experience...a year or two at ME...they'd go somewhere better. ME only paid us a base rate of $15/HR and then incentivized us with bonuses for every membership we could upsell and return customer we could book. And it isn't that your therapists WON'T go over their allotted time, even if they start you late, it's that they're not ALLOWED to do so. At least...that's how it was then. The place was run like a conveyor belt. Client in at 12p for 60 minute massage...5 minutes for finding out what they need and them to undress, 50 minutes to actually massage, 5 minutes to tell them about aftercare, they get dressed, therapist puts clean linens on the table for the next client; and then it's their 1p client...and the therapist is supposed to do hand washing and client charting in there somewhere too. So yeah...they're just trying to do their best while management is riding their asses. So after they get some experience they go somewhere where they get treated with respect, actually make money, and aren't expected to treat the client like cattle. read more

I like this location better than some of the ones I visited in Portland, California and Virginia. I like that I can use my membership wherever I travel to. I love a good massage and have had MANY good ones at massage envy and probably the best one of my life at this Keizer station location. I have had a membership with M.E. for about 8 years. In that time I have only been consistent in going for about half the year. Needless to say I have accrued more than 30 hours of unused massages. When they say they will put your account on hold they don't do it-- you have to stay on top of them to get things done. I try to catch up by doubling them up into 90-120 minute massages but lately it is hard to find any therapist willing to do the longer ones. Let's be real here nothing gets accomplished in 50 minutes (10 mins is for pre/post dressing). By the time they start working out whatever muscle group ails you the time is up. I usually have to watch my clock and have them work out knots they've pushed into one area before the massage is over otherwise you leave there in worse pain than you came in with. Now with longer appointments you leave feeling like the massage was complete. You really have to speak up even if you have seen the same therapist a dozen times. They do not seem to read your responses-- like if you jump/flinch clearly that hurts maybe there's a knot they should work out don't just move on-- work it out or maybe stretch other attached muscles to calm the nerves. The use of heat is helpful but they don't always do it.Sometimes you say work on my shoulder and they waste time on your feet or something so I just say "literally ONLY do XYZ." Leaving clothes/shoes on areas I don't want touched seems to keep them from going to their default massage. Deep tissue therapy is hard to come by. I've tried 3-4 therapists at this location and only one is consistently good at deep tissue massage but she's typically booked out pretty far. I don't care if I get a male or a female but it's so hard to find a good one that sticks around. I've had them cancel my appointments because therapists called off, quit or cut their hours down, which is understandable. However, when I need to cancel it costs me the unused hour-- seems unfair that I get disciplined if I can't make it but the therapist can cancel. I call ahead to cancel appointments and usually leave a message on voicemail, on more than one occasion they didn't check the voicemail and thought I no-showed which costs you the prepaid hour so you have to really confirm with them-- which is hard bc they notoriously don't answer their phone. I am a chatter and while the people here are equally chatty I find that the therapist loses focuses and uses my session to talk so I just make a point of being quiet so I can actually get some relief. The front staff has always been welcoming to me. I do see the sales pitch with other customers but they seem to know I'm not going for it so they don't bother. I wish I hadn't signed up for membership because it's like the gym-- you think you'll go but you don't, but you don't want to waste the credit you've already paid for. Hate that the person who does the facials doesn't work weekends so I can never utilize the service. The location was great until they put In and Out nearby now the traffic is terrible-- turn in by Lowes and avoid the back up. Parking is okay-- so many shops around that I rarely see parking right up front unless you have a disabled pass. The interior is nice and updated. Bathroom is clean. Waiting room is nice and comfortable but they should have at least 1-2 chairs that elderly and disabled people can get up from-- twice I've helped people out of the seat because they are low, soft and most don't have arm rests. I also dislike that the halls and waiting room are so dark but then you walk into the massage room and it's bright! That's the room that should be dark and calming besides it would make the whole nakedness thing (especially when you go to turn over) less awkward if it wasn't lit up like a dressing room. The lighting should match the waiting room so your eyes don't have to adjust. The tipping thing should be voluntary on the customer's end no where else do you go that they verbally ask you in front of everyone if and how much you want to tip every single time you go to check out. Overall I enjoy it when the massage is good but it's hit or miss. Some things could be done better. Staff is always friendly I really like several of the front desk people and 2 of the therapists. read more

Do not sign up for a membership through Massage Envy. After canceling our membership they charged my husband and I for massages and then only will allow us to redeem them if we renew our contract. The Clinic director, condescendingly then stated that she would be "willing to do me the favor" of extending it 60 days. When I explained that considering my liver transplant and being immunosuppressed I am unwilling to put myself in confined space during a pandemic she was unwilling to work with me. She then stated that if I wanted to transfer my massage credits to someone else who is more comfortable receiving a massage I could, but there would be a transfer fee of $10.00/massage. Profiting during a pandemic. That is not the kind of business I want to support. Businesses, corporations at that, should be prioritizing the health and safety of their customers. I have sent a letter to both their headquarters and BBB. And as my friend pointed out, "I find it funny they advertise that "Your health and safety is always a top priority at Massage Envy". It doesn't seem to be the case if they are asking their customers to RISK their health and potentially their lives during a pandemic in order to turn a profit. I've been a member here for a couple years and I've finally had it. I've been pretty lucky with the therapists but my absolute favorite-Tina-was let go and when I went in for my appointment they didn't tell me I wouldn't be seeing her (As if I wouldn't realize the MT I'd been seeing every other week was suddenly different) . Then the last two appointments I did not get a reminder call. Finally, last month I arrived 5 minutes early, but the receptionist was busy with a customer with two more waiting to check out. There was someone in the office just off the lobby, bit she never came out to help. After waiting 10 minutes I asked if I could just go back but was told I needed to check in first. Finally I was checked in and by the time the MT came to get me it was 10 after the hour. That was 10 minutes out of my hour I paid for! They don't go over by even 1 minute, so I got ripped off. I wanted to buy a gift card for a friend but was told it would be $100 since my friend was not a member. I could buy a $40 first time visitor gift-but I knew they'd try to sell her a membership, so I passed on it. The service has been declining- they book out weeks in advance, prices went up, the' Tranquility Room` has been redone and is uncomfortable-no more complimentary beverages. Crappy front desk staff-just all around going down hill. I'm canceling my membership and am now on the hunt to find Tina-wish I knew her last name, of course they won't tell me! read more

I pay a monthly fee and have accrued about 9 massages, but can't ever seem to get anyone on the line. This has been a recurring issue. This last March, the only way I was able to get them to call me back, was to send a FB message to corporate. When I finally got a call back, I was told that their voicemail wasn't working properly. Last week I called to get an appointment and to cancel my membership, but once again, no one answered. Today, I get a call from them, and I was thinking, "Great! They got back to me!" Instead, it's because my card expired and they want me to pay. I told her, no, that I had called last week trying to schedule and cancel but no one got back to me. This place is a joke. Service is awful, disrespectful to paying customers, and impossible to find an available appointment (which is surprising since they are so terrible). Never sign up for 12 month membership as it is a scam. You have the option to gift massages but they make it impossible and charge extra. Not to mention the lack of availability to even use the monthly massage. If these were the only issues I may give them three stars but the fact that every time my wife has attempted to do anything about the membership or schedule appointments the receptionist/therapist is flat out rude. Not enough female MTs, in past I've been told that their women MTs don't want to work evenings (Management problem!!), I've been cancelled with no phone call (I drove 30 min. to find out, another 30 min home fuming all the way), I've been put on hold 4 times in one call because she's the only one there and she has customers to help -- after the 4th time I said "I'm a customer, too" and was told she "has to prioritize the customers to get them to their appointments on time". Again, clearly another management problem. If I cancel I only have 30 days to use up the 20+ hours that I've paid for, but since I can't get an apptmt for 3 months that is clearly impossible. This conundrum must be illegal. At other locations I've gotten in to 90 min massages for two people with only 1 days notice--Keizer is simply impossible. Look on any review site and you'll see that this is a pervasive problem. Apparently their home office, their Keizer manager Amante (spelling?) and their owner Jim DeWeese don't care. read more

As a member of Massage Envy I enjoy having a massage budgeted in advance each month. It helps me to make time in my schedule to have a massage. I like Massage Envy. For the most part, the massage therapists employed by Massage Envy are skillful and personable. When I had a problem with my account, however, I had a difficult time getting it resolved. My phone calls weren't returned. It literally took months to resolve and it wasn't exactlly to my satisfaction. One person, Carolyn, was the culprit. You can imagine my surprise when I discovered that she was the owner of the Keizer Massage Envy. She was unprofessional and made lame excuses for her failure to resolve my problem. Based on my experience, I wouldn't return to this Massage Envy location again. However, I have had good experiences in the Portland area locations. These are my reasons: 1. The sales folks continuously tried to sell their membership plan to us. Even when we pulled the "money is tight" card, they tried to offer the "well, you can put a hold a payment when you know you're short" talk. Okay, seriously, I'm coming in to feel relax. This sales presentation of theirs isn't helping. I felt like I came in to buy a car instead of coming in to get a massage. 2. Communication among the sales staff is poor. Prior to our appointment, I was bothered by multiple staff with the same question when it was supposedly resolved by a person who called me the week earlier. 3. We arrived 15 mins prior to our appointment, as advised. They didn't walk us back into their relaxation room until our actual appointment time. Then, the therapists started our session 10 mins into the hour of the clock, and stopped at 55 mins into the hour, which calculates to only 45 mins session! 4. The massages were blah. It wasn't the worst, but it wasn't best we've ever had. I would say it was the second worst for me. Overall, based on my experience and after reading the reviews by others here on Yelp on this location, I wouldn't recommend it. read more

I called and scheduled a massage at Massage Envy in Keizer Oregon. I scheduled for a 1-hour massage for my massage, arrived appointment 15 minutes before my appointment time. Massage therapist was 4 minutes late to come get me so massage started at 10:36 rather than approximately 10:30. A massage therapist did a lot of shaking of my upper and lower Body, did long strokes that were quick no real Focus work. But asked to focus on my upper body and neck due to headache and upper body tension. Massage wasn't beneficial at all, my takeaway is maybe try another time with another therapist. I called and spoke to assistant Rachel two days later regarding massage. Rachel stated I could come back at intro price with another therapist. I asked if they would comp the massage. Rachel stated not able to do so, after speaking to Rachel of my experience she stated that I am not a good fit for them and that when I did my intake I was rude to her. I stated I wasn't rude just disappointed in her professionalism with the previous customer that left. She stated once again I'm not a good fit for them and we ended the call. Customer service was a 0 on her end. I know that all customers aren't always right but there was no real sympathy or any of knowledgement for the bad massage that was received other than a lot of excuses. I didn't want to write this review hoping that a phone call to the manager, since manager wasn't available spoke with the assistant manager Rachel and got nowhere. So the managers of Massage Envy in Keizer Oregon you must do better to provide better customer service and acknowledge your customers complaints rather than give excuses. read more
