This was my first experience with Massage Envy. Having had quite a few massages at other places, I am pleased with my experience here. Corey was my therapist and I couldn't be happier with his work. He was very professional and skilled at his job. I came in with an incredibly tight upper back and neck and left feeling much better. He was able to find all the trouble spots and use the appropriate level of pressure and massage to give me the relief I was looking for. I will request him again and would recommend him to others! The spa itself was very clean and the environment very relaxing, with soft therapy music. I especially appreciate that they don't have a lot of fragrances throughout the spa, though you can request aroma therapy if you'd like. It was a nice change from places that are heavily scented with room fresheners. I also felt the cost was reasonable, and similar to prices for other massages I have had, (except for a ship board massage which is always expensive.) So, overall, while I was skeptical of a franchised spa, I was pleasantly surprised and pleased with my first experience here. Thank you Corey and team! read more

I went here to treat myself for my birthday in November'25. I was so excited to go. The experience was do disappointing and I felt cheated when I left. That massage was my birthday gift of self love to me, something I needed. I didn't expect a mediocre massage that I would not consider deep tissue. My problem areas were not addressed. I tipped bc I didn't want to be rude, but I felt sad, cheated, and ripped off. I don't treat myself often. What a waste of child free time and hard earned money on my birthday! read more

I called in advance to ask if they do sports massage. The girl said that I can use all the time to focus on a specific area and that the masseuse does firm pressure and is the best one of their location. So I booked, and he was so unconfident and basically doing nothing. It was a waste of time and money and I was so upset...like why not just say you don't do sports massage. It's not even that much money to lose one client for a 30 minute session. read more

I was a client for years. Lately, I noticed the room was filthy - way beyond dirty. There's a story. I was on the table and had a leg cramp - one of the nasty ones where the only solution is to get up and tiptoe and flatten the foot to release it. I had never had one there before - only rarely have them at night. I launched off the table to release the cramp. The therapist, a woman and I'm a woman, was very upset at my nudity. I'm 66 and she's the age of my kids if that matters. She said that she'd been meaning to tell me to take more care when turning over as well - that they try to preserve privacy. Okay, that made me uncomfortable but alright. Also, she was in a hurry. So afterwards, I was nervous and hurrying and I hit the cup that holds my rings - wedding ring, engagement ring, divorce ring - and it flipped onto the floor and my rings went flying. I looked. Got dressed. Looked for her. Turned the lights all the way up. Looked. Found one. Got out my phone and oh my goodness. I moved things on the shelves - thick dust. There were two candy wrappers and pieces of tissue on the floor. The carpet was kinda crusty. I walked barefoot on that carpet. I continued moving things around and found my ring. I told the desk and then I told her. I of course made her late. I wrote them about the filth later. I tipped. Well, next appointment my mother was in a car accident and I canceled. Next appointment, she canceled two hours before and she told them at the desk not to schedule me anymore. I'm sure she thinks I tore up the room and wrote them about the filth out of vindictiveness - not at all. I had another appointment and got out my phone again. Bits of paper and dirty floor. Common areas, restrooms included, are very clean. I canceled my membership. The ownership changed after COVID. My desire is that they see this and hire a housekeeper for those rooms - including carpet cleaning. I'll go somewhere else. read more

I had my monthly massage package taken out of my bank account and when I went in for my first massage, they said I did not pay my monthly package fee and I had to pay it all over again. Lauren was rude. The massage was great and I felt a lot better after. If someone can fix double charging customers and rude staff, it would be a great place! read more

I came here because of some lower back pain. The place was much nicer than I expected on the inside. They had me fill out a questionnaire about how I like my massage and if I had any issues they should know about. The therapist was very nice and good. The only thing that I wasn't a fan of was that they did most of the massage with the sheet over you. There was very little direct skin contact. I did feel that the massage would have been better without the sheet. Now this could be a policy of the spa and not because of the therapist. read more

I went in with back problems from stress. I never had a massage ever in my life and this place that it so much Justice. The room was a perfect temperature of the girl that did my massage was great they were very understanding about what your needs are pressure wise. they do their jobs perfectly. I live in a different state I came into town because I'm visiting family and it was a great chance for me and my mother toget the girls day. When I get back home I'm definitely going to go to the massage envy near me. read more

Massage Envy on State Road 38 is a rip-off. My wife purchased me a $100 gift card for use at Massage Envy as my birthday present. I went to use the gift certificate in the middle of 2019, can't remember exactly what month. Massage envy wanted me to sign up for a future massage even before I received my massage using high-pressure sales tactics and wanted my credit card info to guarantee payment for the future massage before I even received my gift-massage. I made a future appointment and received a 1-hour massage for which they charged me over $70.00. I became sick and canceled the future massage long before its massage date. On January 24, 2020, more than six months after my massage and canceled appointment, Massage Envy charged my card for $260.00. I went to call them to request an explanation but they hung up as soon as they saw the caller ID. I called back and was put me right to voice mail. I left a message and received no callback. I filed a complaint with the BBB (Better Business Bureau). When I filed my complaint I found other similar ripoff complaints along with BBB noting that Massage Envy never responded to any other customer complaints. One gentleman they ripped off for $840.
