One great therapist, Delores, was working there, which kept me coming back for a year. She is fantastic. The management is poor. If I had the first appointment of the day, the manager arrived late and opened the door 3 minutes before my appointment. Manager did not turn the heat on, and the place was very chilly. The rented space is dingy, old and Massage room was okay, but not the best. Ambiance was not spa like in the least. My appointment was cancelled once (not by me) and I was put on a waitlist and never was given an appointment until very close to my appointment the next month. I made an appointment (with the manager) and he never recorded it. When I showed up for the appointment I made - he denied it, and offered no remedy. This happened twice. Homeless sometimes sleep near the entrance and would not leave until the police came. Only tolerated this place because of Delores and I honored my one year contract. They still owed me one more massage, but I just can't make myself go back to that sloppy cold mismanaged circus. read more

170 for a 1 hour back massage and they only did 40 minutes out of the hour. They didn't finish the full hour and still charged full price which was not cheap. Don't come here ever they are a rip off and steal your money. There are lots of choices and other places to choose from don't waste your money and time here. I had a prenatal massage booked. I had been in so much pain that I'd had a four day headache, so I was counting down the minutes all day until my massage. I got there and got all checked in and when my massage therapist came out, she panicked when she saw that it was a prenatal massage because she isn't certified through massage envy. I burst into tears (hormones, disappointment, desperation). Both her and the girl working the front desk were super sweet and felt terrible. They rebooked me for a couple days later and did comp that massage. Only reason they're getting two stars is because of those girls and the comp. My massage was just okay and she worked on me for 40 minutes when I was scheduled for an hour. I then saw the bill and even though I did get the massage for free, it said it was a $120 comp. If I had been charged $120 for a "60 minute" massage from a drab chain like this, I would have been livid. I understand that prenatal is a bit more specialized but $120 is the price you'd expect at a high end spa, not this strip mall massage parlor. read more

In February I went in and scheduled a "couples" hot stone massage for my sweetheart's birthday but was told the soonest available was March 22 @ 7:00 pm. That was all good and well . Scheduled. The day before the scheduled massage I received a confirmation call and was informed there would be a time change to 7:30 pm & that it would NOT be a hot stone massage . This is the second time this EXACT occurrence has happened to me. So with zero way of remedying the situation they offered to comp the next evening's massage and reschedule the hot stone massage for me for as soon as possible, so I agreed. Upon arrival the next evening expecting our "couples" massage we are told they can not accommodate a couples massage . This is strike 3! This business is very incompetent when it comes to scheduling, shame on this owner! This is apparently an ok practice by them. Apparently they do NOT value peoples time. It's all about the lies and misleading people just so they can have you walk through their doors to take your money! I'm still waiting for the owner to call so she can make this right and fix the situation with the hot stone massage. One Star only because you can't give less. VERY disappointed. We use Massage Envy's all the time in California and have never had issues with booking or massage folks. My husbands mom just passed away so we are visiting from out of state. I guess you could say this is my fault because I had read reviews on this exact location changing bookings after the fact but they had good reviews on the actual massages and my husband is a wreck and in need. After a frustrating booking process with Molly we jump in the car to have breakfast and make the appointment we were given by Molly for 11:30 am. Both cell phones start ringing and its Molly first then Adam telling us we have been bumped because we are not "members" and they only have so many guest SLOTs. I remind him we go to massage Envy's all the time and we were given the 11:30 am appt and WAIT FOR IT he throws MOLLY under the bus and claims it is her fault and is RUDE to me at the same time. I am told that Chantel will be calling us later today but I am seriously not holding my breath. READ the reviews before calling this place and HEED the warning as I should have. They told us the 11:30am was given to a member and we could come at 1:00pm. Considering all the arrangments and family to deal with this is pretty poor behavior from this location. Adam is allegedly the "store manager" at least that is what he told me but after pressing he did give up Chantel's name who is also allegedly the actual store manager. I've been a "member" of the Las Cruces Massage Envy for almost two years now, although I would have cancelled before this, but for the fact that I have all of these "credits" built up that I won't be able to use if I cancel. You see, although you CAN get a one-off massage at Massage Envy for $78, their modus operandi is to try to sell you a "wellness package" that costs $59 a month and qualifies you for one massage per month and then the member discount after your one massage. Well, I signed up for the contract and it was fine for a year. After that you can go month-to-month. But if you don't use your massage that month, and you try to cancel, you've lost out on your massage even though you've paid for it. Why don't I go more often? It's because Massage Envy provides a weirdly institutional experience. The massage rooms are clean, but the atmosphere is completely anodyne, like a hospital that plays Enya over the loudspeakers. The therapists are absolutely hit-and-miss. I've had great massages there and I've had terrible ones. Every massage therapist appears to have his or her own choreography and there's no quality control. The actual massage length is 50 minutes even though you are paying for an hour; because it includes 5 minutes to get your clothes off and 5 minutes to get them back off again. It's my understanding that Massage Envy therapists are poorly paid with no rest time in between clients and that they really rely on tips. Thus, even if you are paying the member rate you are encouraged to tip as THOUGH your massage cost $78 for the hour. I do that, but I always feel like I've been ripped off somehow. read more

I cancelled my membership in July because I couldn't get in to see the only therapist I liked unless I booked a month in advance and that didn't work for my busy work schedule so I had hundreds of dollars worth of credits. Every time I went in after that to use up all my credits I told them I had cancelled and they said yes I had through September to use it all up and this showed in their system. Just saw on my credit card they had charged me monthly this whole time. Now I call up and they act like they lost the cancellation form I submitted (that they never gave me a copy of) and said it never went through, and offered to cancel going forward. I asked to speak to a manager and the woman at the front desk outright refused, so I have to contest via my credit card company. Such a nightmare! read more

If you are thinking about getting a massage and you are under 18 make sure you bring a parents to sign a paper. My mom made an appointment for me yet they didn't ask if i was under 18. I got here and then they told me I had to have my mom here and they wouldn't give me a massage with out my parent here to sign the paper. The online booking didn't work. I was called backed and service was changed. Hot stone was not available and reduced 60 minutes instead of 90. Worst massage ever actually it was like a non-massage. Booo! Booooooo! Hiss! Boo! Called to schedule a couples massage a few days before our preferred Saturday. They didn't have an opening, and didn't offer any other appointments. Called a few other places, and discovered that Saturday was booked out throughout town, but Massage Envy is open on Sunday. So we call back and scheduled a morning appointment for Sunday. The receptionist informed us that they were fully booked other than an 11 am and wanted to know if we wanted a 60 or 90 minute massage. We opted for the 90. So for the 90 min we were asked to come in at 1030 instead. We were additionally informed that both therapists are male. Ok, not a big deal. Saturday comes, as does the reminder call for our couples massage. It's at this point that they tell us that one of the therapists doesn't do 90 minute massages. How this detail slipped through the whole scheduling process is beyond me, but if I was to venture a guess it is symptomatic of how this outfit runs. Ok. Fine. We'll take the 60 minute option. They also tell us to show up a bit early to fill out paperwork. Great. We can do that. Sunday at 9:56, on the way to our massages mind you, we get a phone call. Apparently one of the therapists had called in sick, but one of us could still get a massage. No other therapist was apparently available to cover the sickie. WTF?! Not a single other masseuse was available to cover this dudes fully booked day? I'm assuming that everyone else on his schedule was canceled too. And what of the other guy? If he gets paid by the job, he lost out on pay from a service because the joint he works for can't figure out how to have a substitute. I would have been rather dissatisfied had they called and said that they needed a bit of time to call in someone to cover the day. But the subpar customer service is astounding! Obviously they have no standards of what services each therapist will perform. They lack the basic customer service training to help customers schedule appointments on any day other than one specifically requested. Even after finally making an appointment, they don't know what each therapist can do. They do not have, or are unable to determine how to have, substitute therapists for scheduled appointments. I would have been happier had they not picked up the phone to schedule an appointment in the first place. At least then we wouldn't have been looking forward to massages and planned our Sunday around one. It's a shame that I couldn't leave zero stars. read more

There definitely are several very talented therapist there. Typically the front desk staff are very professional and courteous. They get very busy so sometimes they forget to actually check you in on the computer so the therapist doesn't know that you're actually waiting for them. I have been told that a 60 minute massage is 50 minutes hands-on, however twice it has ended up being more like 45 minutes of hands-on time from the time they walk into the room and start the massage to the time they leave the room for you to get dressed. That's a little annoying not to mention the app scheduling does not work majority of the time so you end up having to call in. I also agree with previous comment that when you purchase an add-on for $10-$15 that should increase your time for the massage session not decrease it, i.e. exfoliating foot scrub. read more

Massage Envy is great, it's clean, comfortable, and the front desk staff is always super professional and helpful. The membership is worth it to me because the rates are super competitive and the facility is professional and clean. To get a massage at this rate I have been to run down office buildings made into make-shift massage parlors, or even the masseuses home, which to me was awkward. If you want a great massage, at a fair price, in a clean facility, there is nowhere in town I would recommend more highly. read more

Very disappointed. My husband and I were in need of a couples massage. I called on Thursday and asked for the Saturday coming up and the receptionist said they were all booked except for 1 hour. Which is good for them. And I only called 2 days in advance, however she never offered any other days or times. After looking for other places and even on Sunday, their name came up! So I called back and asked if we could come on Sunday instead, and they could accommodate. For now. She said they have 2 therapists and are booked the whole day and can get us in at 11 am, great! I then asked if there was any way to get a 1.5 hour massage for both of us. She then said that would be no problem but if we could come at 1030. Sure! So all is well, until Saturday when they called to remind us and then informed us that 1 of the 2 therapists only does 1 hour massages, not 1.5 hours... hmm. Really?? They had even known for 2 days at this point and could've made other arrangements or called us waaaay before but didn't. So we agreed to just have both 1 hour massages. Well then we get up Sunday morning and start heading over, they had asked us on Thursday to come in 15 min early to fill out paperwork, routine and protocol, but at 9:56 am I got a call. We were already on our way over there, and the man said that 1 of the therapists called in sick. He was very apologetic. So needless say we cancelled the other massage, which meant he was left without pay. Not his fault. Not satisfied and will never return read more

I called on a Thursday night and made an appointment for myself, my mom and my sister-in-law for that Saturday evening. Since we live an hour away, we went up early and were having dinner when I received a phone call from Massage Envy that because I didn't reserve our appointments with a credit card, we were being bumped by a member and we could reschedule on Monday. WTH?? Considering nobody asked me for a credit card when I made the appointment. Of course, it said on the computer that they asked for a credit card and I chose not to provide it. She even said that she was the one that talked to me and specifically remembers asking me. When I specifically remember having my credit card in hand thinking that it was odd that I didn't have to give them the card to make the appointment. Apparently, this is how it works there. If a member calls in to request an appointment, they get first choice. The only way that my appointments would have held is if I had reserved with my credit card. Yet, that wasn't communicated to me when I called to make the appointments. I was so mad that they were literally calling me one hour before our appointments to inform me of this and that we had driven an hour and planned our entire day around it. So, she left me on hold about 15 minutes until I finally hung up and called back to talk to a manager. Of course, there wasn't a manager available. But, she expected me to be so happy when she informed me that she was able to work it out where my mom and I were both able to keep our appointments, but she couldn't do anything about my sister-in-law's appointment. So, I guess they just expected her to sit in the waiting room while we got our hour long massages! I'm sorry, but that if that's how you treat "potential members", that's not a place I will ever step foot in!! When I was telling a friend about it that same evening, she had a similar experience. I have been a Massage Envy member for over 2 years now. Which provides a monthly massage at a fair price. And while the girls at the front desk are VERY aggressive about making sales and signing you up for the membership, it's worth it because I love my massage therapist! I have seen Anita for years now and she is fabulous. She has helped me through some serious pain issues, is personable and always caters the massage to my needs. I have received plenty of massages in my day, but this is hands down my favorite. I will stay a member as long as she is there. read more

I have been a member of Massage Envy for almost 7 years and have been going to the Las Cruces location for about 6 1/2 years. Early on, I found April M. at this location and have not stopped seeing her. Occasionally, true, I do have to see a different therapist because my schedule is crazy and does not always match her availability. I have long suffered from migraines and tension headaches. Once I started getting massages from April I have drastically been able to reduce the amount of medication taken for my headaches. I also now only have a very small fraction of the headaches that I had previously. She is amazing and very intuitive. I have a very hard time describing what needs to be done often, but April is able to take the information I give her and turn it into the best most therapeutic massage. She is able to find all the spots that are bothersome and causing my tension, often spots I didn't even know I had. I highly recommend April and the Massage Envy in Las Cruces! You will see there are some reviews here and on Google that are less than positive for this Massage Envy location. They are not perfect but no one is and just remember everyone does have an off day. Beware, a one hour massage does not mean one hour. Very deceiving! I brought my husband, for Christmas, a one hour massage. The person at the desk asked me if I would like to purchase an add enhancer of a foot scrub, which I did. My husband went expecting a one hour massage plus the add on of a foot scrub. He arrived on time, he said the massage was OK, but only lasted exactly 40 minutes. Then he received a 10 minute foot scrub, which came to a total of 50 minutes. After hearing this, I called and talked to a manager. I asked why he did not receive the one hour massage that I had purchased. Was told that it's really only a 50 minute massage because they allow 5 minutes for instruction and 5 minutes to dress. I then asked why he only received a 40 minute massage and was told they needed the other 10 minutes for the foot scrub. So because I purchased the extra "enhancer" of a foot scrub, my husband was robbed of 10 minutes of his massage. Was told yes and because a massage session only last 50 minutes. So if I had not purchased the extra service he would of received 50 minutes, but because I paid extra for a foot scrub he received less time. Wow, does that make since? I told them that should of been explained to me and was told sorry. Even their website advertises one hour massages. read more
