I had a facial and it was wonderful! Allie greeted me warmly with a smile and we went back to the treatment room. She asked questions about my skin and routines to determine what products to use during the facial. The table was warm and she put a roll under my knees for comfort. The facial was relaxing and she did a great job. The facial did leave a lot of serum on my face so keep that in mind if you have plans after. I was unsure about booking an appointment at Massage Envy because of some reviews I read but I was very happy with the facial service. If I go again I will definitely ask for Allie. read more

I have a membership to massage envy. I go monthly as it helps to manage my migraines. I only see one massage therapist there, Jen. She provides an appropriate consultation each session and the massage is excellent. The front desk staff are always polite and greet me appropriately. I can't speak to the other services and the other therapists there but I do like the massage therapist I see and would recommend her to others. read more

I'm going to say that they are very middle of the road. After having had a bunch of massages there with a bunch of different people, I've realized that half of them are good and the other half are not. Not every massage therapist is created equal. Some therapists just don't seem as skilled. There's also a couple who talk too much. My favorites are Jenn and Kimmie. Princess Matt was pretty good too. The facials are okay and they can be relaxing but it doesn't seem worth it for what they charge and I really don't notice a difference in my skin after a facial. I could probably do my own facials at home with more noticeable results. I've read other reviews saying that you don't get a full 60 minute service and this is very true. Unfortunately they start a little late and end early. Expect to lose at least 10 to 15 minutes off of your service. If I'm going to continue to receive massages, I will find a new place. I foolishly had gotten locked into a year long membership program with Massage Envy and I couldn't get out of it so I had to use up all of my services which I paid $65 for every month for a year. read more

I have been to the Cranberry location, a Monroeville location and this is an awful location that is, unfortunately for me, the closest one to me. The first time, I had a wonderful experience. The second will be my second and last time. Frankly, even if I knew I could get my money back or a voucher, I still wouldn't contact the owners bc of the rude staff, including manager. It starts from the top and trickles down. I will not recommend this location to anyone who wants a relaxing experience or a good massage. If you are a MOM and there is a chance you need to cancel for any reason, especially due to a sick child.....do NOT schedule with Massage Envy! For a birthday treat, I scheduled a massage the evening before my birthday. As luck would have it (and any mom can relate to this) my child came down with the pukes. As soon as Massage Envy opened, I called the reschedule my appointment (reschedule not cancel completely)...well because I have a kid puking and who wants me anywhere near a therapist with the germs I've been in contact with. The manager had ZERO sympathy for my situation. I was charged $47.50 for my same day cancellation. She did NOTHING. I understand policies are in place to protect the therapist....but I can tell you that therapist would have received an amazing tip tomorrow. Now, I will NEVER go back. So, if you are a busy mom and there is a slightest chance you have to cancel......find a place that is more understanding our schedule. read more

To be honest I was nervous about getting a massage because of COVID, but ME was so cleanly throughout the entire massage process from checking in to laying on the massage bed, so much so that I felt completely safe and protected from any covid germs. Ok! First off, I am a Licensed Massage Therapist. I received a gift card for ME. I thought, ok what the heck, I'll give them a try even with the bad reviews. OMG! The worst massage ever. My therapist started late, even though I was 15 minutes early. The massage was awful. I am not sure where she went to school but it was probably the worst massage I've ever had. Total time was 45 minutes for a 60 minute massage! I'm just thankful that I didn't waste money on this massage. Skip this joint and go to someone that someone else recommended. I joined massage envy thinking it would be a great stress reliever. But the more I go the more I realize that they rip you off. They never come get you for your massage on time it's usually 5 min after your scheduled then 5 min of them talking then you changing. They also end the session 5 min early. That's 15 min out of 60 wasted every time. But I'm paying for 60 min. Today was the last stray it took 10 min and no one came to get me. I've been to this location twice, both times staff is rude rude rude. I'll be obtaining a doctors excuse so I'm able to discontinue my membership. I'm paying $60 a month to be treated with disrespect and leave in a much worse mood then I was when I walked in the door, when in reality I was attempting to join so that I could bring more relaxation into my life. During wedding planning, my fiancé thought a nice massage was just what a needed. Work was stressful too, so I needed something relaxing without breaking the bank. NOT worth it. I got in there, filled out an extensive iPad form about my aches, pains, and dietary restrictions. I thought it was good- that way they can take into account peoples wants and needs before the masseuse comes in! After the waiting room, I was escorted to the room. Another lady came in saying she was the masseuse, and read off verbatim everything I just wrote. That included mentioning my lactose intolerance but I thought she was just being thorough. When the massage came to take place, she really tried to up-sell me $15 for some sort of aromatherapy-which I declined, because I came to massage envy to get a decent massage for a decent price. However, at the end of the massage session, I didn't feel that my specified pain points and stress tension had been really touched. I felt extremely unsatisfied, especially because it's not like she didn't know where I was hurting or anything, she just didn't know what she was doing. I've gotten massages in several different salons, including a similar brand in Florida who did a fantastic job, but this one misses every mark and should actively be avoided. I recently went to this location. Front desk friendly. Massage was ok but it wasn't anything to really complain about until I got home. The girl who gave my massage said I was very tight and needed to come in more often. She pulled my left arm that was a little rough but it wasn't until I got home that I could barely use my arm. I had extreme pain from my shoulder to my elbow. I couldn't put any weight on my arm. I could barely turn the steering wheel. It has been about a month and I went to see my PCP. Not sure if she broke something. He suggested physical therapy and keep using heating pads. I can't tell you how disappointing this was. I treat myself to massages from time to time and never had this happen. I guess I should have read reviews first. I've had great massages at Above All Salon, Esspa in Aspinwall and other states -- for years -- never had injuries before. I will be much more careful in the future. She was a young girl that seemed to be experienced. Ugh! So buyer beware! I wouldn't want anyone to have the same experience. I was unable to get another 90 minute appointment the same day and also unable to reschedule my appointment for the month. The business end of this location deserves negative stars. This one star is for the therapists who seem to try their best to a good job and please you. But with the extreme turn over of therapists at this location it confirms that this probably is as bad a place to work as it is to patronize. The Front staff and manager are hopelessly confused and unorganized. When you leave you are so confused about what you were just charged. Their fees and add ons and "this and that" add up to such a ridiculous price you never expected that you can't even afford to tip the therapists accordingly and they are the ones who deserve the compensation. And for Gods sake do not enter into an agreement with this franchise. You are then enslaved to them and repeatedly charged the wrong monthly withdrawal and when you call to complain and straighten it out there is no urgency because they are an independently owned franchise and tell you to "go ahead" and call corporate to complain. I did as suggested and was told that I had purchased a six month membership which is NOT TRUE. When I bought the massages, I was told over and over the massages wouldn't expire....until I tried to use them. Then suddenly they were worthless. Maybe Massage Envy lied, or maybe the underpaid high-pressure salesperson at the desk lied. Who knows? My massage therapist started 10 minutes late. She brought me back at 1:05pm and started at 1:10pm. My appointment was at 1pm so I figured she would stop at 2:10pm. Nope she stopped at 5 till 2pm. I made sure to purposely look at the clock when she said she was done and would wait outside for me. I spent over $100 on this massage and it wasn't even 60 minutes. She talked at the beginning of my session for about 8 minutes about a second hand store across from the massage envy and how since I have a Louis Vuitton purse I should go check it out or take my clothes there. I wanted to relax not talk about a store next door that I never plan on going to. It made me think she must get a discount there for mentioning the store and vice versa. I am very dissatisfied because even the massage itself was average at best. I said to focus on my back and shoulders so she decided to focus on my legs and feet. I hardly take the time to review my experiences, but I thought this one was worth mentioning. Massage envy at mccandless crossing is disorganized and unaccommodating. I have a membership with them, and they have cancelled my appointments numerous times due to "sickness" or "staffing issues." Not to mention, they call me the same day of my scheduled appointment, therefore the likelihood of me getting in with someone else is nearly impossible. I won't be revisiting this location again- luckily there are a few in the area. Bottom line I'm canceling my membership and taking my business elsewhere. I stopped into this massage envy location to inquire about purchasing a gift card during the first week of February. There were a younger looking man and woman working the front desk who were extremely kind, helpful, and informative. They answered all of my questions and explained that they offer a loyalty membership. I told them I would think it over and they gave me a pamphlet to take with me. Right when I was about to leave a woman, who I assume was their manager- her name tag said Erin, came out from a back room. She started yelling at the two employees working at the desk right in front of me, and then glared at me. It actually made me feel extremely uncomfortable and I've decided to go to a different massage envy location just because of this exchange I witnessed. Very disappointed with my experience. I bought a gift card in July that benefitted breast cancer and paid $80.00 and it was for a one hour massage. When I went to pay they told me that there was only $39.99 on the card and that I owed $15.00. I guess their prices went up in September but they would not honor the one hour massage. The massage therapist did not do a good job. I asked her twice to do it harder because I could barely feel it and she kept ignoring me. This was the worst massage I have ever had. You don't actually get an hour, it's 50 mins or less because they take time off you for dressing and undressing. Not one time did the therapist ask me how I was doing or if everything was ok. She also smelled like smoke which was making me feel sick. The girl at the front desk was friendly but tried to get me to buy a membership after I told her the massage was just "ok".
